LIMITED WARRANTY
What Is Covered: Eps n America, Inc. (“EPSON”) warrants t the first end user cust mer f the EPSON
pr duct encl sed with this limited warranty statement, that the pr duct if purchased and used in the
United States r Canada, c nf rms t the manufacturer’s specificati ns and will be free fr m defects
in w rkmanship and materials f r a peri d f ne year fr m the date f riginal purchase. EPSON
warrants that the EPSON pr duct is manufactured fr m new c mp nents and parts r like-new
c mp nents and parts which perf rm like new and meet the EPSON standard f quality. EPSON als
warrants that any c nsumable (ribb n r ink cartridge) encl sed with the pr duct will perf rm t the
manufacturer's specified usage, which usage may expire bef re the expirati n f the limited warranty
f r the EPSON pr duct.
What EPSON WILL Do To Correct Problems: Sh uld y ur EPSON pr duct pr ve defective during the
warranty peri d, please bring the pr duct securely packaged in its riginal c ntainer r an equivalent,
al ng with pr f f the date f riginal purchase, t y ur EPSON Dealer r EPSON Cust mer Care Center.
EPSON will, at its pti n, repair r replace n an exchange basis the defective unit, with ut charge f r
parts r lab r. When warranty service inv lves the exchange f the pr duct r f a part, the item
replaced bec mes EPSON pr perty. The exchanged pr duct r part may be new r previ usly repaired
t the EPSON standard f quality. Exchange r replacement pr ducts r parts assume the remaining
warranty peri d f the pr duct c vered by this limited warranty.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover: This warranty c vers nly n rmal c nsumer use in the United
States and Canada. This warranty d es n t c ver damage t the EPSON pr duct caused by parts r
supplies n t manufactured, distributed r certified by EPSON. This warranty d es n t c ver ribb ns r
ink cartridges r third party parts, c mp nents r peripheral devices added t the EPSON pr duct after
its shipment fr m EPSON, e.g., dealer-added b ards, chips r drives. EPSON is n t resp nsible f r
warranty service sh uld the EPSON label r l g r the rating label r serial number be rem ved r
sh uld the pr duct fail t be pr perly maintained r fail t functi n pr perly as a result f misuse, abuse,
impr per installati n, neglect, impr per shipping, damage caused by disasters such as fire, fl d, and
lightning, impr per electrical current, s ftware pr blems, interacti n with n n-EPSON pr ducts, r
service ther than by an EPSON Auth rized Servicer. P stage, insurance, r shipping c sts incurred
in presenting y ur EPSON pr duct f r warranty service are y ur resp nsibility. If a claimed defect cann t
be identified r repr duced in service, y u will be held resp nsible f r c sts incurred.
THE WARRANTY AND REMEDY PROVIDED ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF
ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO,
THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE. SOME LAWS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES.
IF THESE LAWS APPLY, THEN ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED
TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD IDENTIFIED ABOVE. UNLESS STATED HEREIN, ANY
STATEMENTS OR REPRESENTATIONS MADE BY ANY OTHER PERSON OR FIRM ARE
VOID. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY, NEITHER EPSON AMERICA,
INC. NOR ITS AFFILIATES SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, INCONVENIENCE, OR
DAMAGE, INCLUDING DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES,
RESULTING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE EPSON PRODUCT, WHETHER
RESULTING FROM BREACH OF WARRANTY OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

residence. NOTE: If the l cati n is a residence, an adult MUST be h me and present at all
times f r the service technician t enter and perf rm service.
A service technician will n rmally be dispatched t y ur l cati n by the next business day
f ll wing y ur request f r n-site warranty service. If y ur l cati n is m re than 50 miles fr m
an auth rized n-site service pr vider, y u may be asked t pay a travel charge directly t
the n-site warranty service pr vider. Service h urs may vary by pr vider, but generally fall
within n rmal business h urs, M nday thr ugh Friday, h lidays excluded. Please sign the

Limitations to On-site Service Coverage : Preventive maintenance, installati n, deinstallati n,
rel cati n, and perating supplies are n t included.
