the filtration system that Health professionals
recommend to their patients.
Following the correct operating and maintenance
instructions included in this brochure will ensure
that your Epuair system will provide many years of
air purification.

in homes Today.
Homes today are built to be as energy efficient as possible.
To prevent heat loss, newer homes are more airtight. This
reduces the cost to heat a house but also has harmful
effects. Therefore, the air quality is decreased by humidity,
dust, and other chemical poluants inside the house.
To increase the quality of air in your house, you need to
eliminate the three following contaminant.
1- Dust.
2- Humidity.
3- Polluting chemicals and odors.
The Epuair system is specifically designed to control and
eliminate dusts and odours.

The Epuair system has been developed to be in continuous
operation. 24 hours, 7 days a week, with the help of your
ventilation system, it will purify the air in your home.
Your system has been installed in combination with
your furnace. In order to insure continuous air filtration
at all times, the furnace fan control should be set to ON
(continuous operation). This is particularly important during
the allergy seasons.

reducTion of allergy sympToms
You may have acquired the Epuair system to help control
your allergies. The causes of allergies varies from one
person to an other and the Epuair system is not an
automatic solution for all people suffering from allergies.
However, if you or one of the members of your family
suffers from allergies of pollen, moistures, spores, dust or
other allergens present in the air, it is good to know that the

It is recommended to replace the filtration cell before
the air conditioning season (spring). The accumulation
of dust could damage your air conditioning system.
The EPUAIR filtration system does not need electrical
or mechanical inspection. The only maintenance
recommended is the easy replacement of the filtration
cell every year. The frequency of replacement can vary
depending on the amount of dust in the house. The
quantity of dust in a house is related to the number of
people and their activities, the presence of carpets, animals,
smokers and the level of air pollution outside.
We recommend the replacement of the filtration cell every
twelve months. Large houses, smokers, animals, etc., can
demand a replacement every 6 to 8 months. Particularly if
the ventilation system is continually in use and if you are
using air conditioning during the summer.
Remember the EPUAIR filtration system becomes 99%
more effective with use or time. All accumulation of filtered
dust form a barrier. This accumulation has a tendency to
increase the resistance of the air filter, causing higher energy
costs and a decrease in airflow. This can damage your
system.This is the reason the filter needs to be changed.
Note
It is not recommend to clean the filter. It can damage the
filter cell, and the vacuum cleaner will clean only the surface
and won’t increase the life spans of the filter.

abouT The filTer effecTiveness
The Epuair filter has been designed to purify the air that
comes in contact with it, however, not all the dust in your
house comes in contact with the filter. Some dust particles
will not enter or be drawn in to the ductwork of your
heating system, and therefore can not be eliminated. This
dust has a tendency to stick to your electrical appliances
such as televisions or computers. The presence of dusts on
your furniture and on electric household appliances is not a
consequence of poor filter operation.

replacemenT of The filTer cell
1- Turn the furnace fan OFF
2- Open the front panel of the Epuair filter.
3- Take out the dirty filter cell and discard.
4- Install a new clean filter cell.
5- Put back the front panel of the Epuair filter.
6- Turn the furnace fan back On.

limiTed guaranTee
The motor inside the Epurair unit is guaranteed to the original purchaser for a duration
of FIVE (5) years from the date of purchase. The HEPA filter is guaranteed for TWO
(2) years and all other components with the exception of the filters that are guaranteed
for ONE (1) year. Epurair will repair or replace at its choice the component(s) which
upon inspection by an authorized Epurair dealer proves to have failed in normal use
due to defects in material or workmanship. Epurair will at its discretion, replace the unit
if necessary. The Warranty is void if any attempts have been made by unauthorized
personnel to service or modify the unit as well as operating the unit at voltages other
than that specified on the unit.
THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DELIVERY CHARGES WHEN SHIPPING THE
UNIT TO EPURAIR FOR WARRANTY REPAIR OR WORK.
