GESCHÄTZTER KUNDE
Wir gratulieren Ihnen zum Kauf des BONECO P500. Der
hocheffiziente Luftreiniger ist mit einem dreifachen
Filtersystem ausgestattet, das die Luft nicht nur von
Gerüchen, sondern auch von Staub, Pollen und Schmutz-
partikeln befreit. Durch den Filter werden zahlreiche Be-
schwerden wirkungsvoll gelindert. Dazu gehören auch
Heuschnupfen oder allergische Reaktionen auf Haus-
staub und Milbenkot.
Der BONECO P500 ist für den unkomplizierten, vollauto-
matischen Betrieb konzipiert. Die intelligente Steuerung
sorgt dafür, dass der Geräuschpegel so tief wie möglich
bleibt. Im Modus arbeitet der Lüfter sogar so
leise, dass Sie den BONECO P500 auch nachts im Schlaf-
zimmer verwenden können. Und dank der integrierten
Zeitschaltuhr beginnt die Reinigung, noch während Sie
sich auf dem Heimweg befinden. So finden Sie zu Hause

Entnehmen Sie den Filter und entfernen Sie
die Schutzfolie.
Nehmen Sie die magnetisch fixierte Frontabdeckung
ab.
Legen Sie den Filter zurück in die Halterung

FRONTABDECKUNG UND FILTERTYPEN
MAGNETISCHE FRONTABDECKUNG
Die Frontabdeckung des BONECO P500 wird von Mag-
neten gehalten. Der Lufreiniger schaltet sich nicht ein,
wenn die Frontabdeckung fehlt oder falsch aufgesetzt ist.
HINWEISE ZU DEN FILTERN
Ihr BONECO P500 wurde ab Werk mit dem Filter
«ALLERGY», «SMOG» oder «BABY» ausgeliefert. Das
Gerät ist jedoch mit allen drei Filtertypen kompatibel.
Der mitgelieferte Filter kann jederzeit durch ein anderes
Modell getauscht werden, wenn sich die Anforderungen
ändern.
ERSATZFILTER
Ersatzfilter erhalten Sie bei Ihrem BONECO-Fachhändler
oder im Online-Shop unter www.shop.boneco.com. Die
Filter sind mit diesen Labels gekennzeichnet:

HELLIGKEIT DES DISPLAYS
Die Helligkeit des Displays hängt vom Umgebungslicht
ab. Das Display wird automatisch gedimmt, wenn der
BONECO P500 in einem dunklen Raum verwendet wird
(zum Beispiel im Schlafzimmer).
FILTERWARNUNG LÖSCHEN
Das Symbol erlischt nicht automatisch, nachdem der
Filter ausgetauscht worden ist. Um das Symbol auszu-
blenden, drücken Sie für fünf Sekunden die -Taste.
Damit wird gleichzeitig der Betriebszähler für den neuen
Filter zurückgesetzt.

Der BONECO P500 lässt sich frei an Ihre Bedürfnisse
anpassen. Wenn Sie das Gerät ausschalten, bleiben alle
Einstellungen bis zum nächsten Einschalten gespeichert.
Die Einstellungen werden jedoch zurückgesetzt, wenn
das Gerät vom Stromnetz getrennt wird.
MODUS «AUTO»
Im Modus arbeitet der BONECO P500 vollautoma-
tisch und steuert die Lüfterstufen so, dass eine optimale
Wirkung erzielt wird.
MODUS «SLEEP»
Im Modus arbeitet der Lüfter auf der geringsten
Stufe, um den Geräuschpegel so gering wie möglich zu
halten. Diese Einstellung eignet sich für die Verwendung
im Schlafzimmer oder Kinderzimmer.
MODUS-WECHSEL
1. Drücken Sie auf dem Tastenfeld oder auf der Fern-
bedienung die Taste , um zwischen den Modi
und zu wechseln.
GRUNDFUNKTIONEN
ANZEIGE DER LUFTQUALITÄT
Die Luftqualität wird auf dem Display durch 8 Segmente
visualisiert. Je besser die Luftqualität, umso mehr Seg-
mente werden in Weiss angezeigt:
LÜFTERSTUFE MANUELL REGELN
Die Lüfterstufe des BONECO P500 kann manuell gesteu-
ert werden – zum Beispiel dann, wenn in möglichst kurzer
Zeit eine gründliche Luftreinigung erzielt werden soll.
1. Drücken Sie mehrmals die Taste , bis die ge-
wünschte Lüfterstufe erreicht ist.
2. Drücken Sie auf dem Tastenfeld oder auf der Fern-
bedienung die Taste ,um wieder in den Modus
respektive zu wechseln.
POWER-STUFE
Die Power-Stufe (P) kann nur manuell über die Taste
angewählt werden. Der Lüfter arbeitet nun mit maximaler
Leistung.
VERWENDUNG VON DUFTSTOFFEN
Auf der Rückseite des BONECO P500 befindet sich der
Duftstoffbehälter für die Beigabe von Duftstoffen.
1. Drücken Sie kurz auf den Duftstoffbehälter, um ihn zu
entriegeln, und ziehen Sie das Fach heraus.
2. Geben Sie den Duftstoff in den Duftstoffbehälter.
3. Schieben Sie den Duftstoffbehälter so weit in den Luft-
reiniger, bis er einrastet.

TIMER-FUNKTION
Mit der Timer-Funktion können Sie festlegen, wie lange
der BONECO P500 laufen soll, bevor er sich automatisch
abschaltet (OFF-Timer).
Alternativ können Sie festlegen, nach welcher Zeit sich
das Gerät automatisch einschalten soll (ON-Timer).
Verwenden Sie diese Funktion zum Beispiel, um den
BONECO P500 vor Ihrer Rückkehr zu aktivieren, damit
Sie zu Hause ein optimales Wohnklima erwartet.
Die maximale Dauer eines Timers beträgt 19 Stunden.
OFF-TIMER EINSTELLEN
1. Schalten Sie den BONECO P500 mit der Taste ein.
2. Wählen Sie die gewünschte Betriebseinstellung und
den gewünschten Modus.
3. Drücken Sie einmal die Taste .
4. Verwenden Sie die Taste , um die Dauer des Betriebs
(1 bis 19 Stunden) einzustellen.
Das Gerät läuft nun für die angegebene Zeit und schaltet
sich anschliessend aus.
5. Um den Timer vorzeitig zu deaktivieren, drücken Sie
die -Taste erneut und wählen Sie . Alternativ
können Sie den BONECO P500 mit der Taste aus-
schalten.
ON-TIMER EINSTELLEN
1. Wählen Sie die gewünschte Betriebseinstellung und
den gewünschten Modus.
2. Schalten Sie den BONECO P500 mit der Taste aus.
3. Drücken Sie einmal die Taste .
4. Verwenden Sie Taste , um die Startvorwahlzeit
(1 bis 19 Stunden) einzustellen.
Der BONECO P500 schaltet sich nach der definierten Zeit
ein und arbeitet im gewählten Programm.
5. Um den ON-Timer vorzeitig zu deaktivieren, drücken
Sie die -Taste erneut und wählen Sie . Alternativ
können Sie den BONECO P500 mit der Taste ein-
schalten.

FILTER AUSTAUSCHEN
Der Filter ist verbraucht, wenn auf dem Display das
Symbol aufleuchtet. Der Filter muss jetzt gewechselt
werden, damit weiterhin eine optimale Luftreinigung ge-
währleistet ist.
Der Filter muss nach Anzeige der Erinnerung ersetzt
werden, spätestens aber nach einem Jahr.
Die Prozedur für den Ersatz des Filters entspricht sinnge-
mäss den Abbildungen auf Seite 6.
1. Tauschen Sie den Filter gemäss den Anweisungen auf
Seite 6 aus.
2. Halten Sie die -Taste 5 Sekunden lang gedrückt, um
das Symbol auszublenden.
VORFILTER REINIGEN
Der Vorfilter verhindert, dass grössere Staubansammlun-
gen in das Innere des BONECO P500 gelangen.
1. Reinigen Sie den Vorfilter mit dem Staubsauger oder
unter fliessendem Wasser.
2. Lassen Sie den Vorfilter vollständig trocknen, bevor
Sie ihn wieder einsetzen.
PARTIKELSENSOR REINIGEN
Der Partikelsensor erkennt die Luftbelastung im Raum,
indem er den vorbeiziehenden Luftstrom analysiert. Mit
der Zeit kann es zu Verschmutzungen kommen, welche
die Messgenauigkeit beeinträchtigen.
Die Klappe über dem Partikelsensor muss im Betrieb ge-
schlossen sein, damit die Messung korrekt ist. Sie sollte
nur geöffnet werden, um den Sensor zu reinigen.
1. Wischen Sie mit einem feuchten Wattestäbchen über
den Sensor.
2. Trocknen Sie den Sensor mit einem trockenen Watte-
stäbchen.
Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung keinen Alkohol und
keine aggressiven Reinigungsmittel.

filter system that rids the air of odors as well as dust,
pollen and contaminants. The filter also effectively allevi-
ates many forms of discomfort caused by allergies. This
includes hay fever or allergic reactions to dust mites and
household dust.
The BONECO P500 is designed for convenient, fully auto-
mated operation. The smart control system ensures that
the noise level remains as low as possible. In com-
fort mode, the fan works so quietly that you can even use
the BONECO P500 at night in the bedroom. And thanks to
the integrated automatic timer, cleaning starts while you
are still on the way home. This means you can always
come home to an optimal living climate.

Take out the filter and remove the protective foil.
Remove the magnetically attached front cover.
Insert the filter back into the holder (note the markings).
Take off the pre-filter.
Reattach the front cover.
Put the pre-filter back on.

MAGNETIC FRONT COVER
The BONECO P500 front cover is held on by magnets. The
air purifier does not switch on if the front cover is missing
or positioned incorrectly.
NOTES ON THE FILTERS
Your BONECO P500 was shipped from the factory with
the “ALLERGY”, “SMOG” or “BABY” filter. However, the
appliance is compatible with all three filter types. The
delivered filter can be replaced by another model at any
time if your requirements change.
REPLACEMENT FILTERS
You can get the replacement filters at your BONECO spe-
cialist dealer or at the online store at www.shop.boneco.
com. The filters are identified by these labels:

BRIGHTNESS OF THE DISPLAY
The brightness of the display depends on the ambient
light. The display is dimmed automatically if the BONECO
P500 is used in a dark room (such as a bedroom).
CLEARING THE FILTER WARNING
The symbol does not go out automatically after the
filter has been replaced. Press and hold the button
for five seconds to hide the symbol. This also resets the
counter for the new filter at the same time.

The BONECO P500 can easily be adapted to suit your
needs. Whenever you switch off the unit, all settings are
saved until the next use. However, the settings are reset
whenever the unit is disconnected from the power supply.
“AUTO” COMFORT MODE
In the mode, the BONECO P500 is fully automatic
and controls the fan levels, achieving an optimum effect.
“SLEEP” COMFORT MODE
In comfort mode, the fan operates at the lowest
level to keep the noise level as low as possible. This set-
ting is suitable for use in a bedroom, nursery or baby's
room.
COMFORT MODE SWITCH
1. On the keypad or the remote control, push the
button to switch between and comfort
modes.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
AIR QUALITY INDICATOR
The air quality is shown on the display by 8 segments. The
better the air quality, the more segments are displayed
in white:
MANUALLY CONTROLLING THE FAN LEVEL
The fan level of the BONECO P500 can be controlled
manually, such as if you want the air to be thoroughly
purified in the shortest possible time.
1. Push the button repeatedly until the desired fan
setting is achieved.
2. On the keypad or the remote control, push the
button to switch back to the or comfort
mode.
POWER LEVEL
The power level (P) can only be selected manually using
the button. The fan is now working at its maximum
output.
USING FRAGRANCES
The fragrance container for adding fragrances is on the
backside of the BONECO P500.
1. Briefly push on the fragrance container to unlock it and
then remove the compartment.
2. Insert the fragrance into the fragrance container.
3. Push the fragrance container into the air purifier until
it clicks into place.

TIMER FUNCTION
The timer function lets you determine how long the
BONECO P500 should run before it switches off auto-
matically (OFF timer).
Alternatively, you can specify a time for when the ap-
pliance should switch on automatically (ON timer). Use
this function, for example, to activate the BONECO P500
before you return home, so that you have the perfect liv-
ing climate waiting for you.
The maximum duration of the timer is 19 hours.
SETTING THE OFF TIMER
1. Switch on the BONECO P500 using the button.
2. Select the desired operating setting and the desired
comfort mode.
3. Press the button once.
4. Use the button to set how long the appliance oper-
ates (1 to 19 hours).
The appliance then runs for the specified period and then
switches itself off.
5. To deactivate the timer early, press the button again
and select . Alternatively, you can switch off the
BONECO P500 using the button.
SETTING THE ON TIMER
1. Select the desired operating setting and the desired
comfort mode.
2. Switch off the BONECO P500 using the button.
3. Press the button once.
4. Use the button to set the start preselection time
(1 to 19 hours).
The BONECO P500 switches on after the defined time and
operates with the selected program.
5. To deactivate the ON timer early, press the button
again and select . Alternatively, you can switch on
the BONECO P500 using the button.

REPLACING THE FILTER
The filter is worn out if the symbol is illuminated. The
filter must be replaced at this point to continue to ensure
optimal air purification.
The filter must be replaced as soon as possible after the
reminder is displayed but after one year at the latest.
The procedure for replacing the filter corresponds to the
figures on page 14.
1. Replace the filter in accordance with the instructions
on page 14.
2. Hold the button for 5 seconds to the hide the symbol
.
CLEANING THE PRE-FILTER
The pre-filter prevents excessive dust accumulation from
getting inside the BONECO P500.
1. Clean the pre-filter under running water or using a
vacuum cleaner.
2. Allow the pre-filter to dry completely before re-insert-
ing it.
CLEANING THE PARTICLE SENSOR
The particle sensor detects the amount of dirt in the air
in the room by analyzing a passing air stream. Over time,
dirt can accumulate and affect measuring accuracy.
The flap over the particle sensor has to be closed during
operation to ensure the measurement is correct. It should
only be opened to clean the sensor.
1. Wipe the sensor with a damp cotton swab.
2. Dry the sensor with a dry cotton swab.
Do not use alcohol or corrosive cleaning agents for
cleaning.
