
RECOMMENDATIONS AND WARNING BED-AID STAB
NOTE : To all beneficiaries, users and distributors of the bed rail Bed-Aid Stab:
1. The present warning is part of the complete text of the user guide and of the delivery slip and/or invoicing of the bed rail «Bed-Aid
Stab» ;
2. Any person who installs this bed rail «Bed-Aid Stab» must have received training from the manufacturer or its accredited distribu-
tors or must have read the user guide ;
3. Never use the bed rail «Bed-Aid Stab» without making sure that the straps are correctly installed and well tightened as described
by the manufacturer ;
4. The beneficiary or user of the bed rail must regularly check if the straps are secure, well stretched out and in good order, so as to
prevent the bed rail from sliding or becoming displaced under the mattress ;
5. Any modification to the bed rail and its’ strap system is stricly forbiden and would automatically release the manufacturer of all
responsabilitiy toward the usage of the said bed rail ;
6. If, following normal usage and functional wear, some pieces of the bed rail have to be replaced, it is necessary that the exchange
parts are replaced with parts of the same quality or equal to those provided initially. You must contact the manufacturer or distri-
butor ;
7. The bed rail and the straps must be installed on only one panel, if the hospital bed system is an articulated type, whether it is used
in a hospital setting, a long term care institution or a private home ;
8. The maximum weight of the user of the bed rail must not exceed 300lbs (136 kilos) ;
9. The surplus lenght of the straps must be placed securely between the mattress and the bed panel, and it must not be accessible
by the user ;
10. The bed rail and the straps must never interfere with or hinder the bed mechanism 1;
11. No guarantee, by the manufacturer, will apply if the bed rail is wrongly installed or modified without the permission of the manu-
facturer ;
12. The bed rail must never be installed on a newborn’s bed, child or any person whose head width is less than 4¾ inches or 12,06
centimeters 1;
13. If after it is installed according to the manufacturer user guide, the bed rail «Bed-Aid Stab» is unstable, you must immediately
advise the manufacturer or the authorized distributor ;
14. The manufacturer will not be held responsible if the bed rail is not installed or used as per the user guide ;
15. The installer of the bed rail is responsible to evaluate the beneficiary’s environment and health in order to determine if other
systems or methods could be used in conjunction with the bed rail and/if its utilization is appropriate and/or in conformity with the
needs of the beneficiary.
16. The bed rail should be installed with a mattress that has a minimum thickness of 6’’ and that will not be sagging more than 1’’.

• The bed rail must not move; never remove the straps from the buckle;
• The bed rail is designed to aid the user in sitting up or entering/exiting the bed;
• Information on cleaning: Detergent products without abrasive and desinfectant;
One (1) year guarantee on the rigid structure and 90 days for the other parts against all defects by the manufacturer from the sale
date;
• This guarantee does not apply in case of misuse of the product, or any modification to the product by the user.
