Turn off all mounted
equipment.

Disconnect Power System
from power source.

Turn power system off by holding
down the standby button on the
RUI for 1 - 3 seconds.
Power light will shut off.
dRemove front cover
and disconnect RUI
cables from jacks
located on side of
outlet box.
WARNING: Only Ergotron-specified batteries
may be used in the StyleView Power System.
Please call customer care for details.
Do not replace the batteries while cart is
located in an oxygen rich or hazardous
environment.Sparking may occur.

Unplug cord reel for better access.
3Remove protective boots,
terminal bolts and cables.

Remove Black (negative) lead before
removing Red (positive) lead. Be careful
not to contact tools between terminals
on battery and metal chassis.

Reconnect cables with
terminal bolts and replace
protective boots.
7Replace battery cover,plugging the cord reel back in if unplugged, and tighten screws.
Verify proper
polarity when
attaching cables.
Failure to do so will
result in blown fuse
on battery harness.

Turn power system on by holding down the
RUI Standby button for 1 - 3 seconds. The
Power light, the battery charge indicator lights
and the alarm enabled light will come on. See
page 6 for more details on RUI functions.

cPlug power cord into appropriate wall outlet.
aMake sure RUI cables are
connected.
dVerify that the light is flashing
to indicate battery is charging.Con-
tinue to charge until light stops flash-
ing and stays lit.
Charge battery as often as possible! With power system on,plug the power cord into an appropriate wall
outlet.Plugging in the power cord for short periods of time DOES NOT affect the battery's ability to take a full
charge,and prolongs battery life.
NOTE:Batteries may not achieve optimal performance until the 5t h discharge / recharge cycle.
• Warranty on fully charged* batteries left in an unused state for more than three (3) consecutive months is
automatically void.
• Warranty on fully discharged** batteries left in an unused state for more than three (3) consecutive days
is automatically void. In order to avoid losing power to your equipment,Ergotron recommends that you
charge the battery as often as possible and,if the system is not going to be used for 3 months or more,
remove the battery.
*Fully charged:Battery charge will be at 100% and all RUI indicator lights will be illuminated.
**Fully discharged: Battery charge will be at 0% and all RUI indicator lights will be off.
CAUTION: The supplied
Cord is rated for hospital
use.Connecting the Cord
to an outlet that is not
hospital-grade (indicated
with green dot) will
not ensure grounding
protection.
