With this blood pressure cuff, you have purchased a quality product
from ERKA. We are delighted that you have expressed your confidence
in ERKA. quality and we thank you for doing so. We have a wide range
of blood pressure cuffs in various models. High quality materials that are
suitable to the task guarantee optimal operation. If you have questions
regarding the right choice or the operating of your blood pressure cuff,

Please read this user’s manual before use carefully and thoroughly and
follow the instructions for maintenance and keep the manual for further
use. Important for home users: Consult your doctor at regular intervals. He
will tell you your individual values for normal blood pressure, as well as the
value at which the level of the blood pressure is considered hazardous.

3. PUTTING ON THE CUFF
Select appropriate cuff size for the circumference of the extremities. The
cuff is put on so that the lower edge of the cuff is about 2 to 3 cm above
the elbow or about 5 cm above the knee joint. Note the marking for the
location of the artery when doing so. Do not wrap the cuff too loosely
and not too tight around the limb and make sure that the edge of the
marking is within the permissible range.
4. SELECTION OF THE CUFF SIZE
The following table provides information on the relevant area of appli-
cation and meets the standards of the latest AAMI and AHA guidelines
on the proper size of the blood pressure cuff:
Size 1 Infant 10.0 to 15.0 cm Free of PVC, DEHP and
circumference latex
Size 2 Toddler 14.0 to 21.5 cm Free of PVC, DEHP and
circumference latex
Size 3 Adults 20.5 to 28.0 cm Free of PVC, DEHP and

5. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Check the stethoscope before each use as to its proper function.
Do not use this product if it shows visible damage.
The Medical Products Operator Ordinance is applicable for Germany

3. PUTTING ON THE CUFF

CLEANING BY SPRAY DISINFECTANT OR WIPE DISINFECTANT
We recommend the following cleaning agents and disinfectants:
Mild Soap, Bacillol AF, Meliseptol, Oxivir Plus Spray, Terralin Protect
70% isopropyl alcohol, Fugaten®Spray (Lysoform-Spray)
After cleaning/disinfecting, wipe with clean water to remove any residue
and allow to air dry. Please only use soft cotton or microfiber cloths.
Never use autoclaving!
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Optimal is a storage/use at temperatures between 0° C and +40° C
and a relative humidity of less than 85%.
Do not expose the cuff and the appliance directly to direct UV irradia-
tion, this is particularly applicable for all plastic parts.
7. WARRANTY
The warranty is subject to the statutory provisions and is 2 years from
the date of delivery.
Within this period, we will remove all the defects, which relate to the
material or manufacturing defects, by repair or by replacing the product,
free of cost. The warranty does not cover damage caused by wear and
tear as well as damage due to improper treatment/handling, use of
parts/replacement parts that are not originally from ERKA. or in case
of non-compliance of the instructions.

3. MISE EN PLACE DU BRASSARD
Choisir la taille adaptée de l‘extrémité de circonférence du brassard.
Le brassard est placé de manière à ce que le bord inférieur du brassard
dépasse d‘env. 2 à 3 cm au-dessus du pli du coude, resp. d‘env. 5 cm
au-dessus de l‘articulation du genou. Pendant la manœuvre, veillez à
respecter le marquage pour la position de l‘artère. Enrouler le brassard
ni de manière trop tendue ni trop lâche autour de l‘extrémité, et veillez
à ce que le bord du marquage se trouve dans la zone accessible.

L‘interprétation des résultats des prises de tension ne doit se faire
que par des personnes qualifiées
Ne jamais dépasser les 300 mmHg pendant le gonflage du
manomètre
Les enfants en bas âge ont une tension artérielle inférieure à celle
des adultes, veillez à ne pas trop gonfler
La durée de la prise de tension ne devrait pas dépasser les 2 minutes
Le brassard est à nettoyer avant d‘être appliqué au patient suivant, ou
il est à utiliser avec une bande de protection d‘hygiène
N‘utiliser que des pièces de rechange d’origine ERKA.
Évitez d‘endommager les pièces en caoutchouc par des objets

Les revêtements à fermeture rapide sont à plier de manière
à ce que la face velours et la face crochet se ferment de
manière superposée
NETTOYAGE DÉSINFECTANT PAR VAPORISATION OU PAR ESSUYAGE
Nous conseillons les produits désinfectants et nettoyants suivants:
Savon doux, Bacillol AF, Meliseptol, Vaporisateur Oxivir Plus,
Terralin Protect, Alcool isopropylique à 70%, Fugaten®-Spray
(Vaporisateur Lysoform).
Après le nettoyage/la désinfection, essuyer avec de l‘eau propre afin
d‘enlever tous les résidus puis laisser sécher à l‘air libre. Veuillez n‘utiliser
que des tissus en coton doux ou en microfibres.
Ne jamais passer à l‘autoclave!
CONDITIONS AMBIANTES
Les conditions optimales pour l‘utilisation et le stockage sont une
température comprise entre 0° C et +40° C, et une humidité relative de
l’air inférieure à 85%.
Ne pas exposer le brassard et l‘appareil à un rayonnement UV direct,
ceci vaut particulièrement pour toutes les pièces synthétiques.
7. GARANTIE
La garantie est soumise aux dispositions légales et est valable durant
2 ans à compter du jour de livraison.
Au cours de cette période, nous éliminons gratuitement suite à une
vérification de notre part tous les dommages relatifs au matériel ou aux
défauts de fabrication par une réparation ou un échange de l‘appareil.
Sont exclus de la garantie les dommages provoqués par l‘usure, et les
endommagements suite à un traitement/une utilisation non-conforme de
pièces/pièces de rechange qui ne sont pas d’origine ERKA. ou en cas
de non-respect des consignes présentes dans le mode d‘emploi.
