Anyserviceworkcarriedoutonthisappliancemustonlybedonebya
recognisedesceatechnicianorauthorisedpersonnel.
Thedataplateforthisappliance,containingtechnicalinformationand
specifications,canbefoundtotherightofthecontroltray,nearthe
baseofthefire.Toaccessthis,thefasciamustberemoved.

BasicOperation
On/Off
TheEF5000isoperatedbytheswitchlocatedontherighthandside
outeredgeofthefascia.ThebasicoperationspossibleareON/OFF.
Beforeoperatingthefire,ensurethepowertransformeris
pluggedintothemainswallsocket&turnedon,andthesupplyis
turnedon.
ToturnthefireonpushtheON/OFFrockerswitchtotheonposition.
Theignitionunitwillstartsparkingandthepilotandburnerswillignite
almostimmediately.
Intheeventofnogas,theignitionunitwillattempttotrytolightupto3
timesbeforeshuttingdown.
Ignition:
Toturnthefireoff,simplyflicktheON/OFFrockerswitchtotheoff
position.Thiswillshutdownthegasflowtothepilotflameandboth
burners.
Turningoffthefire:
Pleaseensurethegassupplyisalsoturnedoff,andasanextra
safetypleaseturnoffthemainpowersupplyatthehouse.

RemovingtheFascia
TheEF5000StainlessSteelfasciaisattachedtothefirebyfour
'hooks'onthecornersofthefascia.Ifyouneedtoremovethefascia,
firstgivethefasciaabriefliftupwardsasshown.
Nowslidethefasciatowardsyouuntilitfallsintotheadditionalslot,
.NowyoucanresttheFasciaontheground.unplugtheelectricalcord
Reversethesestepstore-fittheFascia,ensuringthetwoconnections
arecorrectlypluggedinbytestingthefire.

CleaningyourEF5000
Tocleantheglassandstonesinthefrontstonetraysimplyreversethe
stepsinsection14.0oftheInstallationManual.
Theglasscanbecleanedusingstandardwindowcleaner.Thequartz
stonescanbewashedusingsoapywater
Ifthestainlesssteelfasciarequirescleaningthefollowingproducts
arerecommended;3MStainlesssteelcleanerormethylatedspirits.
Tocleantheweathercoverorthepowdercoatedorstonefascia
optionswarmsoapywatershouldbeused.
Cleaningoftheceramicstonesandburnerscanbecarriedoutusinga
brushandadrycloth.

Warranty
WARRANTYTERMS&CONDITIONS:
If,andonlyif,theProductisinstalledasperESCEA'sinstallationmanualandthe
stepbystepwarrantyprocedurehasbeenfollowedasperinstructionsissuedby
ESCEA,(documentedintheagentmanual),andthattheproductisoperated
andmaintainedinaccordancewithESCEAoperatingandmaintenance
instructions,thenforthefirstperiodof12monthsfromthedateofpurchase
ESCEAwillpaythecostofrepairingorreplacinganypartoftheProductthatis
deemedbyESCEAtobefaulty.
Forthesecondperiodof12monthsfromthedateofpurchaseESCEAwillsupply
replacementpartsonly,withoutcharge.
PartsandLabourforthefirst12months:
a)ESCEAatitsdiscretionmaymodify,adjust,repairorreplacethefaultyproducts.
Thewarrantyperiodonpartsandlabourshallbefor12monthsfromthe
.
b)LabourcostswillonlybereimbursedwhenESCEAspecifiedprocedurehas
beenfollowed,andESCEAhasauthorisedserviceworkbeforeitwascarriedout.
Partsforthesecond12monthsONLY:
a)ESCEAatitsdiscretionwillprovidereplacementpartstotheretailerorservice
agent.FaultypartsMUSTbereturnedtoESCEA.The“partsonly”warrantyperiod
shallbefor12monthsandwillcommence12monthsafterthe
GeneralTerms:
1.Allrepairsmadewithinthewarrantyperiodshallbecoveredby
warrantyforaperiodof3monthsfromthedateofcompletionofthe
repair,orfortheremainderoftheoverallproductwarranty,whichever
isthelonger.
2.Ifthebuyer,oranyotherparty,modifiesanypartoftheProductwithin
thewarrantyperiodwithoutthewrittenconsentofESCEAthenthewarranty
shallbevoid.ESCEAmay,attheirsolediscretion,decidethatthewarranty
isvoidinrelationtoanypartoftheproduct,whichhasbeenmodified.
3.ESCEAmustbenotifiedofallwarrantyclaimsassoonaspossible,butin
anyeventnotlaterthan2weeksofbecomingawareofthecircumstance
givingrisetotheclaims.
4.ESCEA'sliabilityinthiswarrantyislimitedtotherepairandreplacement
offaultypartsorworkmanshipbyESCEA.Nootherresultantdirector
indirectcostsorexpensescanbeclaimed.
