Basic instructions
This assem ly and user guide is an important part of the
delivery and is aimed at those personnel who will e fitting,
operating or servicing the machine. The instructions include
information a out the product and its safe use.
 Please read through this guide carefully and take particular note of
all instructions relating to safety.
 Keep the guide in a safe place.
 esco accepts no lia ility for incorrect assem ly and installation.
 Rated input is reached only at nominal voltage.
A lower deviation will reduce the nominal load.
 FA 121 for usage as skylight motor in connection with several
skylight fittings, e.g. GEZE OL90 or similar as well as louver
windows in residential and industrial areas.

 Assem ly, installation and initial commissioning must e carried
out y trained, qualified personnel.
 You are required to comply with all rules and regulations applying
to the installation location.

correct use, safety and hazards and adhere to the instructions in
this assem ly and operating instructions manual.
 Attach all safety equipment, e.g. safety rakes, safety clamps
correctly and make sure these are working correctly.
 The processing instructions of the profile manufacturers have to e
kept.
 Use only original spare parts, original accessories or original
fastenings from esco.

Eine andere oder darü er hinaus gehende Verwendung gilt als
nicht estimmungsgemäß.
Für Schäden, die durch andere Verwendung entstehen, haftet
Fa. esco nicht. Die Gewährleistung erlischt dadurch.

The FA121 electric drive is designed exclusively for opening
and closing windows.
Any other use or additional use is classed as incorrect.
esco is not lia le for damage caused y any other use. The
warranty will e voided in this event.
Beschreibung des Antriebs
Der Elektroantrie FA121 ist zum Einsatz in trockenen Räumen
estimmt mit einer maximal zulässigen Umge ungstemperatur
von +50°C.
• Der Ein au kann sowohl in horizontaler als auch in vertikaler
Lage erfolgen.
• Der Antrie ist umsteuer ar.

Description of the motor
The FA121 electric drive is designed for use in dry areas in a
maximum admissi le am ient temperature of +50°C.
• The motor can e installed either horizontally or vertically.
• The motor is reversi le.
• Integrated electrical end-stop.
• Window tightness via pulling force of the motor.
• Controlled via external switches for single and group control.
According to the profile geometry, there are several assem ly
options as follows:

Gefahr von Zerstörung des Antriebs
Die integrierte Elektronik stoppt den Antrieb beim
Öffnen und Schließen des Fensters an den zuvor
eingestellten Endlagen.
Z ischen den Endlagen ist ein Überlastungsschutz

 Verwenden Sie diesen Ü erlastungsschutz
keinesfalls als reguläre A schaltung.
Dies führt zur Zerstörung des Schutzelements.

Das Typenschild ist auf dem Antrieb angebracht. Es ist
in eingebautem Zustand nicht mehr zu erkennen.

Danger of irreparable damage to motor
The integrated electronic unit stops the motor hen
opening and closing the indo at the prespecified limit
points.
An overload protection is active bet een the limit stops.
 Do not use the overload protection to switch off the
motor regularly.
Otherwise the protection element will e destroyed.
 Adjust the limit stops with care
Use the adjusting screws on the drive.

Data plate
The data plate is attached to the motor. It cannot be
seen once the system is assembled.

Gefahr
Personen- und Sachschäden durch unsachgemäßen
insatz
Stellen Sie mit Hilfe des Typenschildes am Antrieb und
den in Abschnitt 3 aufgeführten Technischen Daten
sicher, dass Sie den für ihre Einbausituation richtigen
Antrieb vorliegen haben.
 Untersuchen Sie die Lieferung sofort nach Erhalt auf etwaige
Transportschäden. Bei Beschädigungen dürfen Sie den Antrie
nicht montieren.
4 Preparing for assembly

installation
Use the data plate on the motor and the technical data in
chapter 3 to ensure that you have the correct motor for
your installation purposes.
 Check the delivery immediately on receipt for damage caused in
transit. You must not install the motor if it is damaged.
5 Montage mechanisch

Nur geschulte, sachkundige Personen dürfen die
Montage vornehmen.

Beim automatischen Öffnen oder Schließen des
Fensters entstehen Zug- und Druckkräfte bis zu 1500N
je Antrieb. Diese Kräfte können beim Hineingreifen
z ischen Flügel und Rahmen Gliedmaßen
abquetschen. Insbesondere, da der Antrieb iederholt
versucht den Hub zu beenden.
 Greifen Sie nicht zwischen Flügel und Rahmen,
wenn der Antrie läuft.
 Sichern Sie ei einer Ein aulage des
Fensterflügels unter 2,50 m alle Quetsch- und
Scherstellen gegen un ea sichtigtes
Hineingreifen. Verfahren Sie da ei gemäß
„Merk latt des VFF KB.01: Kraft etätigte Fenster“.

Sicherungsscheren als Fangsicherung.

Traction and pressure forces of up to 1500N for each

m, secure all crushing and shearing points against
