You must fully charge eSight before you can use it for the first
time. See “Charging eSight” on page 13.

Achieving the Perfect Fit

Your forehead band and headstrap
form a snug “halo” around your head.
Your headset and frames feel

Connecting the Frames
1. Fit the recess
on the frames
over the
magnet on
the headset
so it “clicks”
into place.
2. Fit the
opposite
side. Both
sides of the
frames are
flush with the
headset.
Adjust the
nosepad on
the frames to
suit your nose
for more
comfort.

Connecting the Headstrap
1. Put on the headset (with the
frames attached) like a pair
of glasses.
3. Adjust the buckle on the
headstrap until you have a
snug fit.
4. If the frames are too close
or too far away from your
face, adjust the forehead
band. See “Adjusting the
Forehead Band” on page 7.
2. Wrap the headstrap
around your head, and fit
the connector over the
magnetic contact point on
the forehead band.

1. Take off the eyewear.
2. Hold the forehead band as shown in Figure 3.
3. Slide the ratchet strip forward or backward to enlarge or shorten the
band.
4. Put on the eyewear again, and connect the headstrap.
When properly fitted, you’ll have a slight gap of approximately 1 mm
between the top of your frames and your forehead (Figure 4).

Disconnecting the Headstrap
• Gently pull the headstrap connector forward and away from the
eyewear.

Securing the Controller
In mobile situations, secure the controller using the belt clip, wrist strap, or
neck lanyard. Alternately, carry the controller in your pocket or purse.
1. Fit the belt clip tooth into the slot on the side of the controller.
2. Push down on the controller to
snap it into the cradle.
3. Secure the belt clip, and rotate it
so the controls are easily
accessible.

Tilting the Headset
You can tilt eSight through a wide range of positions. Below are common
positions and their uses.
Lower Bioptic Position
• Headset is fully down
• Look directly at the displays while
maintaining your peripheral vision
• Useful for activities like reading,
crafts, and watching t.v.
• Do not attempt mobile activities with
your headset fully down
Upper Bioptic Position
• Headset partially up
• View using the displays and frame
lenses
• Use your peripheral vision and
glance up into the displays for detail
• Useful for mobile activities, social
occasions, and working with screens
Fully Tilted Up Position
• Headset is out of the way
• View using only your frame lenses
• Cannot view the displays

Powering eSight
Push and hold the Power button.
Alternatively, push the Home Button and Menu Back/
Control Lock Button together to turn on/off eSight.
The light flashes red and green as eSight starts up.
Push and hold the Power button. Push it again to select
STANDBY from the menu.
Resume using eSight quickly from this low power mode.
eSight automatically enters Standby when it is stationary
for one minute.
In Standby, the Power/Battery Status Light is off unless
eSight is charging.
Push and hold the Power button.
Slide your finger on the trackpad to highlight
SHUTDOWN, and then push the trackpad.

Charging eSight
As a best practice, charge eSight using the wall charger whenever you are
using eSight while sitting.

1. Open the door on your controller.
2. Connect the USB cable to eSight and the USB AC Wall Adapter
(Figure 5).
3. Plug the AC adapter into a power outlet.
If eSight is on, it chimes when it starts charging. eSight is fully charged
when the light is solid green.
