ProLUNG Meter QUICK GUIDE rev0

1. To turn on the ProLUNG Meter, push the power button for 5 seconds.

2. The ProLUNG Meter will turn on and will automatically perform an auto-test
for approximately 30 seconds.
3. After having performed auto-test connect Air Inlet Tube of ProLUNG Meter
to Medical Air Network

4.!Insert Air Connector of the ProLUNG to ProLUNG Meter by with connecting
tube (1/4” tube) and confirm by pressing “Ok”

5. Insert CO2Connector of the ProLUNG to ProLUNG Meter (1/8” tube )
Remove the Yellow Cap from the gas-outlet point of the device.

6. At this point ProLUNG Meter ask you if you prefer to continue with the
previous treatment or to begin new one.
In the case of a “New Treatment” ProLUNG Meter will ask you to insert
“Patient Characteristics” ( Patient Code, Gender, Age)
“ Actual Ventilation Settings” ( Height,Tidal Volume, PPlateau, Ppeek, PEEP,
Type of Ventilation)
7. ProLUNG Meter automatically will display the “Ideal Body Weight” and the
“Protective Tidal Volume” as reference (considering the value of 6 ml/Kg
IBW). Then, if you would like to save the parameters press “Yes” on
confirmation window.

8. At this point the device is ready for use and will start registering the CO2
removal. The equipment at will show you the main screen.
9. Settings during Treatment
a) GAS Flow
Selecting the and buttons you can choose the desired air flow. You
can range between 4 to 15 L/ min or you can reset the flow.
By clicking on the button, you can confirm the value and the button
you can exit the window and selecting you can reset the flow.
b) CO2Removal
Selecting the and you choose the desired value of VCO2 to
extract. By clicking on the you confirm the value and the button you
exit the dialog and selecting the button you will disable this feature.

c) Temperature
Setting the and you choose the desired value of the air temperature
supplied to the ProLUNG cartridge. By clicking on the you confirm the
value and the button you will exit from the window and selecting the
button you will turn off the heater.
10. To Switch off the ProLUNG Meter press the On/Off Button; confirm that
you would like to stop the treatment. If you would like to track the tratment
data plug an USB pen drive and confirm. Finally, disconnect tha Air Supply.
