EUROSTER FH2 – INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL
EUROSTER FH2
2 heating zone module
MANUFACTURER: P.H.P.U. AS, Chumiętki 4, 63-840 Krobia, Poland
In order to take full advantage of controller capabilities please read this installation and operation
manual carefully.
This manual is intended for v.1 05.2022 version of the controller.
1. INTENDED USE
Euroster FH2 is intended for the control of 2 heating zones in surface and radiator heating
systems.
2. BASIC CONTROLLER FUNCTIONS
•Cooperates with two room thermostats
•Controls the operation of two heating zones equipped with CH pumps
•Controls boiler – voltage-free contact
•Provides zone overheating protection – includes bimetallic sensor (bimetallic circuit
breaker) inputs.
3. INSTALLATION
SAFETY RULES
CAUTION!
•Prior to the commencement of any installation works read this manual carefully!
Incorrect installation and improper use may lead to serious hazards to users or
other persons and result in property damage!
•Prior to mounting or dismantling the device make sure that it is de-energized!
•Dangerous voltages, hazardous to life, is present on the cables connected to the
device, therefore only qualified technician holding authorization for such works
may be entrusted with the installation of the thermostat!
•The electric connections performed and cables used shall be adequate to the
applied loads and must conform to all requirements!
•Do not install the device in rooms with increased humidity; protect it against
water and other liquids!
•Do not install a device showing signs of mechanical damage!
•The device is not intended for use by children!
•Should there be any problem with the proper operation of the device, please
contact your technician or the manufacturer!
Screw the electric cables to the connection blocks according to the description and drawing.
Make sure to keep the proper designation of the cables. Screw the neutral conductors to N
terminals, phase conductors to L terminals, and grounding conductors to PE terminals.
CAUTION! When connecting the power cables, pay particular attention to the correct
connection of PE conductors.

The following diagram is simplified and does not cover all the elements necessary for the correct
operation of the system.

4. CONNECTING THERMOSTATS
The EUROSTER FH2 module can cooperate with room thermostats with voltage-free, normally
open (NO) output e.g. any thermostat manufactured by Euroster. Both wired and wireless
thermostats may be connected.
Having obtained a signal from the room thermostat of a given zone, the FH2 module switches
on the CH pump of this zone and the boiler output.
5. BOILER CONNECTION OUTPUT
The voltage-free BOILER output is used to switch on the heating source, e.g. gas-fired boiler. It
has 3 contacts marked as NC, COM, and NO. It withstands mains voltage of 230 V and load of
2A.
Usually, the boiler is connected to COM NO contacts (heating on when shorted, heating off when
open).
6. CONNECTING THE CH PUMP
Connect the CH zone pumps to “Pump 1” and “Pump 2” connections as shown in the picture. Pay
particular attention to the correct connection of PE conductors.
7. THERMAL PROTECTION
In the case of a system with underfloor heating, additional thermal protection (bimetallic circuit
breaker) must be used. Its function is to protect the underfloor heating system against
overheating. Exceeding the protection temperature results in switching the CH pump and boiler
off.
When using the controller in a standard heating system, the use of thermal protection is not
necessary. A jumper is preinstalled at the connection point of thermal protection.
CAUTION! The thermal protection is not included in the basic kit. Please order it
separately.
Connecting thermal protection cable
•Connect thermal protection cables to “TH Safety Termik 1” and “TH Safety Termik 2”
terminals. It is not necessary to observe cable polarization.
•Install the bimetallic circuit breaker at its intended location or the uncovered underfloor
heating system pipe.
•Put the bimetallic circuit breaker against the pipe, the side without a 50°C label facing
the pipe, fix it tight to the pipe with a hose clip and cover it with thermal insulation.
Caution! Failure to meet the above requirements may result in the malfunction of the
thermal protection.
Caution! There are hazardous voltages (phase potential of the system) present in the
thermal protection cables! In case of any damage to the cable, the controller must be
de-energized and the cable replaced.

ELECTRONIC WASTE MANAGEMENT INFORMATION
This product is designed and manufactured from high-quality materials and components
suitable for reuse.
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol located on the product (Fig. 1) means that the product
is subject to selective collection in accordance with the provisions of the Directive
2012/19/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council.
Such marking informs that the electrical and electronic equipment as well as batteries and
accumulators may not be disposed of together with other household waste after their service life has ended.
The user is obliged to take the used devices and batteries or accumulators to a point of collection of waste
electrical and electronic equipment and batteries and accumulators. The entities collecting such equipment,
including the local collection points, shops, and municipal entities, set up an appropriate system enabling
the handover of such equipment and batteries and accumulators. The proper disposal of waste equipment,
batteries, and accumulators contributes to the prevention of consequences hazardous to the health of
persons and nature, resulting from the possible presence of hazardous components in the equipment and
batteries and inaccurate storage and processing of such equipment, batteries, and accumulators.
Households play an important role in contributing to reuse and recovery, including recycling, of waste
equipment. The attitudes influencing the protection of the common good of a clean environment are shaped
at this level. Households are also one of the larger users of small equipment and its rational management
at this stage impacts the recovery of recyclables. Inaccurate disposal of this product may be penalized in
accordance with national legislation.
