Precautions to be observed:
1. Read the instructions - Read all safety and usage guidelines before using the
device.
2. Retain the instructions - Retain the safety and usage guidelines in case of any
need for future reference.
3. Observe warnings - You must adhere to all warnings featuring on the device
and in the manual.

4. Follow the instructions - You must observe all usage guidance and
information.
5. Cleaning - Unplug the device from the wall outlet before cleaning. Refrain from
using any liquid or aerosol cleaning agents.
6. Accessories - Refrain from using accessories that are not recommended by the
manufacturer as they could present a possible risk.
7. Water and humidity - Avoid exposing the device to water and humidity. Protect
this device from water and all other liquids; no object containing water, such as a
vase, should be placed on this device.
8. Positioning - Place the device on a stable surface before any use. If poorly
positioned, the device could fall and suffer damage. Its fall could also seriously
injure a child or adult.
9. Transport - This device should be moved carefully to avoid any risk of damage
or injury.
10. Ventilation - The slots and openings are designed to ventilate the device.
They also ensure its good working order by preventing overheating. Blocking or
covering these openings is strictly prohibited. This device should not be placed in a
closed item of furniture such as a bookcase or storage box to ensure its proper
ventilation.
To avoid risk of fire, do not obstruct the ventilation openings on the device with
newspapers, cloths, curtains, etc. Do not place lit candles on the device. Do not
place receptacles containing liquid (vases etc.) on the device. This would present
a risk of fire or electrocution.
11. Power supply - This device should only ever be connected to a power supply
which conforms to the information detailed on the data plate.
12. Protection of electric cables - The power cables must be protected against
any risk of becoming tangled, stamped on or pinched.
13. Lightning - To protect the device in the event of a storm or when leaving it in
unoccupied premises for a prolonged period, unplug it from the wall and
disconnect it
from the cable network. This will prevent your device from any damage caused by
lightning or voltage surges.
14. Overloading - Do not overload the wall plug or extension cables as this will
lead to a risk of fire and electrocution.
15. Insertion of objects or liquids - Refrain from inserting any objects into the
device openings as they could come into contact with live electrical components or
cause a short circuit and there would be a risk of electrocution or fire.
16. Repairs - Refrain from attempting to repair the device yourself as by opening
or removing parts from the case you expose yourself to a risk of electrocution and
other dangers. Refer to qualified, professional assistance in the event of needing
to carry out repairs.
17. Deterioration requiring repairs - Unplug the device from the wall and hire a
qualified professional to carry out the repair in the following cases:

a. If the power cord or plug becomes damaged.
b. If any liquid or objects fall into the device.
c. If the device has been exposed to the rain or has come into contact with
water.
d. If the device is not functioning properly even after you have followed the
troubleshooting guidance in the manual.
e. If the device has fallen or suffered any damage and no longer functions as
before.
18. Replacement parts - If a part needs to be replaced, ensure that the technician
uses the replacement part specified by the manufacturer or a part with the same
characteristics as the original part. The replacement of any parts with unauthorized
parts can result in fire, electrocution or other dangers.
19. Safety check - After any maintenance operations or repairs are carried out on
the device, ask the technician to carry out safety checks in order to ensure that the
device is in sound working order.
20. Heat - This device must be placed away from sources of heat such as radiators,
hot air outlets, ovens and other devices (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
PRECAUTIONS TO BE OBSERVED
TO PREVENT FIRE OR SHOCK HAZARD, DO NOT USE THIS PLUG WITH
AN EXTENSION CORD,RECEPTACLE OR OTHER UNLESS THE BLADES
CAN BE FULLY INSERTED TO PREVENT BLADE EXPOSURE.
1. To completely turn off the device, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
You must always unplug the device if it is to remain unused for a prolonged
period of time.
2. Incorrect use of the command and settings buttons or using the device in a
way different to that specified in the present manual can expose you to
dangerous radiation.
3. If this device is not in good working order, cease all use and contact the
appropriate after-sales service department.

To reduce risk of fire or electrocution, do not expose this device to rain or humidity.
CAUTION
DANGER OF ELECTROCUTION - DO NOT OPEN!
To reduce the risk of electrocution, do not remove the elements from housing.
Internal parts must not be manipulated by the user. Refer to qualified, professional
assistance in the event of needing to carry out repairs.
The symbol representing a lightning bolt with an arrowhead inside an
equilateral triangle is a warning light for “dangerous voltage” that could lead to
electrocution.

The exclamation mark inside the equilateral triangle indicates important
operating or maintenance (repair) instructions in the documentation
accompanying the device.
BEFORE ALL USE, READ THE PRECAUTIONS BELOW:
1. Ensure a stable placement and avoid placing the device anywhere exposed to
direct sunlight or near to a source of heat.
2. Avoid placing the device anywhere it could be exposed to vibrations, dust cold
or humidity.
3. Do not place the device close or on top of other stereo equipments that radiate
too much heat.
4. Once the record player is positioned, ensure that the plug is located near to the
device and is easily accessible. Fit this chain in order to be able to immediately
unplug the power supply from the source outlet in the event of a problem.
5. Do no open the device as doing so would risk electrocution. If a foreign object
accidentally becomes inserted into the device, contact your vendor.
6. In order to disconnect the device power supply, pull on the plug, NOT the cable.
7. To completely turn off the device, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
8. Before using the turn table, check that its operating voltage is identical to that of
the local supply.

PROTECT YOUR FURNITURE
Before installing your device on fine wooden furniture or if you regularly use oil-based
furniture polishes, wood preservatives or cleaning sprays to maintain or clean your device,
put small self-adhesive felt pads on each bottom of the rubber feet to avoid marks on the
furniture.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Function of main buttons
Turn ON: Press volume knob. The device is on, in standby mode: “Standby”
displays.
Enter mode function: In standby mode, press volume knob to enter mode
function. According to the desired mode you wish: Phono, Tape, USB, etc., press
corresponding button.
Turn OFF: Press volume knob to enter standby mode. 5-6 seconds later, the
display turns off. Unplug the device if you have finished.
Listening to FM radio
DAB/FM reception: For best reception, completely unravel the built-in DAB/FM
wire antenna hanging at the rear cabinet, fully extend it and adjust its position
and direction until you find the best reception.
STEREO MODE: While radio is playing, long press PLAY button. When (STEREO)
displays, the radio is in stereo. Press again to switch to MONO sound; (STEREO)
disappears.
FM MANUAL SEARCH
In mode function:
1. Press DAB/ FM to enter radio mode. Press again if it is not FM radio.
2. Turn and hold simultaneously and slowly the tuning knob. Release it when you
tune into a radio station.Adjust volume to desired level.
Note: If quality reception is bad, fine tune frequency.
3. Repeat step 5 as many times as necessary to find your desired radio station.
4. When finished listening to radio, turn it off. See procedure in section above:
"Function of main buttons".

FM AUTO-SCANNING
In FM mode:
1. Long press to start auto-scan.
2. When scanning is finished, the number of stored FM radio stations display.
3. Press PROG to get access to the preset list.
4. Slowly rotate the tuning button to find your desired radio station.
5. Press to listen. Adjust volume level.
6. Repeat steps from 3 and 5 to listen to another stored radio station.
LISTENING TO DAB RADIO
DAB Mode
IMPORTANT REMARKS ON DAB:
•Before scanning, make sure the antenna is fully extended.
•On first use, if no DAB stations are preset, the radio will do a scan after switching
to DAB mode.
•The radio can store up to 20 DAB stations.
•Signal strength can be reduced in very built-up areas, in basements, and inside
buildings with walls made of materials such as thick stone or reinforced concrete.
Placing your device radio near a window can help, and reception may be
better upstairs than downstairs.
•Some areas may not be covered by DAB signal. To make sure that DAB coverage
exists in your area, check on the Internet about information on DAB reception in
your area.
•As additional DAB stations and services regularly become available, carry out a
scan every now and then to get an updated station list stored in memory of your
radio.
•If an existing DAB station is already stored under the chosen preset number, it will
be overwritten when storing the new DAB one.
DAB radio
In mode function:
1. Press "DAB/ FM" button to select DAB mode.
2. Long press "menu/info" to enter DAB MENU. "FULL SCAN" displays.

3. Repeatedly press or to scroll through Dab Menu list and select
desired menu among the list below:
FULL SCAN - MANUAL TUNE - DRC - PRUNE -SYSTEM
Full scan
In “Full scan” menu:
1. Long press to perform a full scan. A progressing slide bar showing the
scanning progress and the number of stations found displays. All local available
DAB stations will be stored automatically. Once finished, the radio tunes to the
displayed station and begins to play.
2. Slowly rotate the Tuning knob and stop at your desired radio station to select it.
The radio connects to this station. Afew seconds later, "Playing" displays. the radio
program plays.
Manual tune
In “Manual tune” menu:
1. Press or to scroll up or down the list of different channels from "5A" to
"13F" and their respective frequencies.
2. When your desired frequency display, Press to confirm.
3. When search is completed, the name of the station group displays. To listen to the
station selected, press again.
Note: In case the radio failed to receive the signal, repeat steps from 1 to 4.
DRC (Dynamic Range Control)
In “DRC”menu:
« DRC » is intended to control the sound or noise when listening in a noisy environment.

Prune
In “Prune” menu
This option menu allows you to remove DAB stations which cannot be received in your area
from the station list. They are identified with the question mark prefix: “?”. After pruning
operation, they will be no longer displayed.
1. After selecting "PRUNE", press to enter its menu.
2. Press or to select either "YES" or "NO".
3. Press to confirm.
System
In “System”menu
1. After selecting "SYSTEM", press to enter its menu.
2. Repeatedly press or and select among the option menu below:

Store a DAB radio station manually
1. In DAB mode, tune your radio to the radio station you wish store.
2. Long press "PROG" button. The message "Preset Store" displays.
3. Turn the tuning button to select a Preset Empty number from 1 to 20 you wish to
allot to to the station (for instance "‹1: ‹empty".
4. Press to confirm. The message "PRESET 1 stored" displays. The radio
goes back to the programmed station.
Note: To view stored stations: Short press "PROG" in “DAB mode”. Turn
"TUNING" knob. Press to listen.
Preset list = To view and listen to your favourite radio station stored:
1. In DAB mode, press "PROG". “Preset recall”displays.
2. Rotate the “TUNING" knob slowly and stop to your desired radio station to select.
3. Press to listen.
Note: If you choose a preset number with the mention "EMPTY" which means no
radio stored, the radio will play the first radio on the preset list.
DAB Display information
When listening to a DAB station, repeatedly press "Info/Menu button" to display its different
types of information if available as below:

DLS (Dynamic label segment) is a scrolling message that the broadcaster may
include in their broadcasts such as program details, etc. > Signal strength is illustrated
by a slide bar which length indicates strength of the signal. >Program Type (Rock, jazz,
etc. ) - If the information is not available, it will display “<Program Type>”or "None". >
Ensemble/Multiplex (Group name) is a collection of national or local radio stations
that are bundled and transmitted together in a single frequency. >
Frequency: for instance: 11A 216.928MHz > Signal error: The range number is
between 0-99. It would not be possible to satisfactorily listen to a radio station with a signal
error rate of 30 or above. Try adjusting the antenna or relocating your radio to improve
reception. >Audio Bit Rate displays digital audio bit rate being received in kbps Time >
Date > DLS > …

Manual time and date setting
Turn off the radio before proceeding with Clock or Alarm settings otherwise
you could not operate them.
1. Press volume knob to enter standby mode. "Standby Mode" displays.
2. Long press "AUX/ BT/ TIME" button to enter time setting mode. The hour digit
flashes.
3. Press or to decrease or increase the hour digit.
4. Press "AUX/ BT/ TIME" to confirm. The minute digit.
5. Repeat step 3 and 4 for setting minutes, year, month and date. After confirming the
day, time and date is set.
AUTOMATIC UPDATE OF TIME : The DAB mode has an automatic
time update function. The device can automatically synchronize its
clock with a DAB radio station that transmits time signals after
performing an update. The time will be automatically updated
according to the time of the local radio station.
Alarm
In standby mode,
1. Long press "ALARM" button.
2. Press or to either select "ALARM1" or "ALARM 2" icons.
3. Press "ALARM" to confirm. The hour digit flashes.
4. Press or to decrease or increase.
5. Press "ALARM" to confirm. The minute flashes.
6. Press or to adjust.
7. Press "ALARM" to confirm alarm time. "FM mode" (default setting) displays,
flashing.
8. Press or to select alarm sound among the different modes
proposed: DAB/ CD/ USB/SD/ FM.
9. Press "ALARM" to confirm. "VOL" and a digit display , flashing..
10. Press or to adjust the volume. Press "ALARM" to confirm.
"Once" (default setting) displays.
11. Press or to select either "Once" or "Daily".
12. Press "ALARM" to confirm. Press or to select "ON" or "OFF" to

activate or deactivate the alarm. Press "ALARM" to confirm.
When the alarm goes off, press Volume knob to stop it. "STANDBY Mode" displays
and LCD display goes out.
USB Port and SD Card Slot
Playback controls
PLAY/PAUSE : Press once to start audio playback. Press it again to pause.
STOP : Press to stop audio playback, total number of MP3/WMA files display.
SKIP UP : Press once to play next file. Press and hold this button to fast forward
through files/tracks.
SKIP DOWN : Press once to play previous file. Press and hold this button to fast
reverse through files/tracks.
USB∕SD Mode : Press button to toggle between CD, USB and
SD Card mode.
REPEAT (CD/USB/SD Playback): Repeatedly press "ALARM" button to select the
repeat mode: loop icon ( repeat of one track), icon loop + "Folder" (repeat of
folder) and icon loop + "ALL" (Repeat of All files and folders) and "RDM" (Random
playback of a file).
Music Playback in MP3/WMA format via USB device or memory card
Compatible audio files: MP3 and WMA only.
Maximum capacity of SD card: 32GB (not included)
1. Press Volume knob to enter mode function.
2. Repeatedly press “CD/ USB/ SD”to select USB or SD Mode.
3. Insert USB device or SD card, according to your selection,
(see illustration in the opposite for correct insertion).

“READING” flashes just below USB or SD. Then, the playback automatically starts.
Note: if both storage media are inserted, press CD/ USB/ SD repeatedly to toggle between
USB and SD modes.
4. When finished listening, remove USB device and/ or SD card by hand.
Important notes
⚫There are numerous USB and SD device producers and their products vary in and
formats. We therefore cannot guarantee that this unit will support all USB and SD devices
from every brand.
Programming tracks for playback
Up to 64 tracks can be programmed for MP3 / WMA file playback in any order.
Before programming, make sure the system is in STOP mode: .
1. Repeatedly press CD/ USB/SD button to select USB or SD.
2. Press button.
3. Press "PROG" button. "MEM" displays. The folder number: "F000" displays, with
“000”flashes. Press or to select the folder.
4. Press “PROG”button to confirm and switch to the track selection. "T000" displays, with
flashes.
5. Press or to select the track.
6. Press PROG to store it and switch to the next folder to be programmed.
7. Repeat steps 3,4 and 5 to enter additional tracks into the memory.
8. When all desired tracks have been programmed, press PLAY/PAUSE button
to play the tracks in the assigned order.
Note: To cancel programming, press STOP button twice.
Copying of MP3 / WMA files
The system allows you to copy files from USB to SD/MMC or vice versa. It could be a
single file/track or a folder of files/tracks or all files/tracks.
Copying a single file/track
1.Insert a USB storage device and SD/MMC card. Repeatedly press "CD/ USB/
SD" to selects "USB" or "SD".

2.When memory device is recognized and starts playback, press or
to select the desired file/track.
3.Press REC button during playback. "REC-ONE” displays, only "ONE" flashes.
4.Press REC button again to confirm. "Waiting" displays and the sound becomes dim
or interrupts. 3-5 seconds later, sound can be heard and it starts recording. "USB" or
"SD" , on which the file/track is copied, flashes while recording.
5.Once the file has been copied, playback stops automatically. “END-REC” displays and
the device returns to "USB" or "SD" mode.
NOTE: If you press REC button during playback in USB or SD mode, the file will copy
from USB to SD or vice versa.
Copying a folder
1. Insert a USB storage device and SD/MMC card. Repeatedly press "CD/ USB/ SD"
to selects "USB" or "SD".
2. When the memory device is recognized and starts playback, press stop
button.
3. Press or to select the desired folder beginning with "F" and “000”
folder digit.
4. Press " REC": “REC-ONE” displays (only "ONE" flashes). Press or
to select “FOLD” (folder).
5. Press REC button again to confirm. "Waiting" displays, flashing. 3-5 seconds
later, it starts copying. "USB" or "SD" flashes while the unit is copying the folder.
6. When copying is finished, “END REC”displays .
Copying all files/tracks
1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 from section: "Copying a folder".
2. Press REC button: “REC-ONE” displays (only "ONE" flashes). Press
or to select “ALL”.
3. Press " REC" again to confirm. "Waiting" displays, flashing. 3-5 seconds
later, it starts copying. "USB" or "SD" flashes while the unit is copying all files/
tracks.

4. When copying is finished, "USB" or "SD" stop flashing .
Deleting files from the USB device / SD card
The system can erase files stored on USB drive or SD card. It could be a single
file/track, a folder of files/tracks, or all files/tracks on the storage medium.
Deleting a single file/track
1. Insert USB device or SD/MMC card. Repeatedly press "CD/ USB/ SD" to select
"USB" or "SD".
2. Press or or to select the file/ track to delete if necessary.
3. Long press delete button: “DEL”during playback. " DEL-ONE" displays (only “ONE”
flashes).
4. Press "DEL" again to confirm. “Deleting” displays while the file/track is being deleted, till
complete deletion.
Deleting a folder
1. Insert a USB device and SD/MMC card. Repeatedly press "CD/ USB/ SD" to
selects "USB" or "SD".
2. When the memory device is recognized and starts playback, press stop
button.
3. Press or to select the desired folder beginning with "F"+”000”(folder
digit).
4. Long press "DEL". “DEL-ONE” displays (only "ONE" flashes). Press or
to select “FOLD” (folder).
5. Press "DEL" again to confirm. “Deleting” displays while the file/track is being
deleted, till complete deletion.
Deleting all files/tracks
1.Repeat steps 1 and 2 from section: "Deleting a folder".
2.Long press "DEL". “DEL-ONE” displays (only "ONE" flashes).Press or or
select “ALL”.
3.Press "DEL" again to confirm. "Deleting" displays.
4.During deleting process of all files/ tracks on storage medium, "USB" or "SD" displays
flashes deletion is complete.

Phono Operation
1. Open the dust cover.
2. Press volume knob to enter Mode function.
3. Press PHONO button.
4. Set the speed selector to the appropriate position: 33, 45 or 78.
5. Set the auto stop control to ON if you want the turntable to stop turning when it has
reached the end of the record. If the switch is set to OFF, the turntable will continue
turning at the end of the record.
6. Place the record on the turntable (use the 45 rpm adaptor, if required).
7. Move the lift lever towards the back to raise the tone arm from the arm park, then
slowly move the arm to the record,
8. Move the lift lever towards the front, the tone arm will gently drop onto the record
and playback will start.
9. To stop playback, move the lift lever towards the back to raise the tone arm.
10. At the end of the record, move the lift lever towards the back to raise the tone arm and
move it back to the tone arm park, and then move the lift lever towards the front to lower
the arm onto its rest.
NOTE: Should your record stop before the last track finishes, set the auto stop control to
OFF. Your record will now play to the end, but you will have to stop the turntable
rotation manually. (Return the tone arm to its rest manually and if the turntable is
still rotating, switch off the unit by the volume control knob. Then set the auto stop
control back to ON.)
Phono encoding
In mode function:
1. Press "PHONO" button. "PHONO Mode" displays.
2. Insert a memory device : USB drive, SD or MMC card.
3. Put your record onto the turntable, ready for playback.
4. Press REC button. A few seconds later, “REC-”displays with “USB”or “CARD”
flashing.
5. If it is not the correct memory device, press or to select USB or
CARD (for SD or MMC). Ignore this step if only one storage medium is inserted.

6. Press REC button again to confirm. “Waiting”displays for about 4-5 seconds
later. "USB" or "SD" flashes next to "PHONO MODE". Encoding operation will
start a few seconds later.
7. Lower the tone arm to start playback of the record. During encoding, "USB"
or "SD" displays.
8. To finish encoding, press stop button. “END REC”displays and the
system return to PHONO mode.
CD Operation
In mode function:
1. Repeatedly press "USB/ CD/ SD" to select CD.
2. Press "OPEN/ CLOSE" to open disk tray door.
3. Place CD, face up, inside. Press “OPEN/CLOSE”again to close disk tray door.
“READING”displays. A few seconds later, the playback starts.
4. Press or or button to select another track.
5. Turn volume knob to adjust.
CD encoding to USB/ SD
In mode function:
1. Repeatedly press CD/USB/SD to select "CD".
2. Insert a memory device: USB drive, SD or MMC card.
3. Insert your CD. The playback starts.
4. Press REC. "REC ONE" displays, with only "ONE" flashing.
5. Immediately press or to either select “ONE”(recording one
track) or “ALL”(recording all tracks).
6. Immediately press REC again. The music sound becomes dim or
interrupts. "USB" or "CARD" displays, flashing next to "REC-".
7. If it is not the correct memory device, immediately press or to
select either "USB" or "CARD" (for SD or MMC). Ignore this step if only one
storage medium is inserted.
8. Press REC again.. "Waiting" displays. Encoding operation starts a few
seconds later with "USB" or "SD" which displays during encoding.
9. To finish encoding, press stop button. The display will show “END-REC” and
return to CD/USB/SD mode.

DAB or FM radio encoding to USB/ SD
In mode function:
1. Press DAB/ FM to enter radio mode. Press again if it is not DAB or FM radio.
2. Insert a memory device: USB drive, SD or MMC card.
3. Press REC. Then, "USB" or "CARD" displays, flashing.
4. Press or to select "USB" or "CARD" mode for encoding.. Ignore this step
if only one memory device is inserted.
5. Press REC again to confirm. "Waiting" displays for about 3 - 4 seconds.
6. Encoding process will start after a few seconds. During encoding, "USB" or "SD"
displays.
7. To finish encoding, press stop button. “END-REC” displays and the unit returns to
FM mode.
BLUETOOTH (BT) OPERATION
In mode function:
1. Repeatedly press " AUX/ BT/ Time" to select "BT". "BT Mode" displays with "BT
CONNECTED" just below.
2. Turn on your device. Activate bluetooth in the setting menu of your device. Find
“BT”. The unit will be paired and connected with your bluetooth device.
3. Play your bluetooth device as you normally do. Music will be played from the unit.
NOTE:
•Make sure the distance between your bluetooth device and the unit is within 15
meters.
•Avoid having other bluetooth devices nearby interfering the signal and
connection.
AUX IN FUNTION
In Mode function:
1. Repeatedly press "AUX/BT/TIME" to select "AUX Mode".
2. Connect your external audio device (such as a CD player or other player) with
your device (AUX IN port), using a 3.5mm plug cord (not included).
3. Press play button on your player. The music files contained in it can be heard in
the device.
