this manual for reference.

set and 1 User’s Manual.

unit.

Powering the Radio
Extreme
The
EZ Crank Radio
Flashlight with Cell Charger
can be
powered by two AA
batteries, or the EZ Crank.
Select either BATT or
GENERATED BATT on the
BATT SELECTOR switch to
choose your power source.
Installing Batteries
1. Slide the battery cover on
the back of the unit in the
direction indicated by the
arrow.
2. Insert 2 AA batteries,
making sure to match the
polarity (+ and -) marked
in
the battery compartment.
3.
Replace the battery
compartment.
Using the EZ Crank
When powering the unit
for the fi rst time or after a
long time of non-use, it is
recommended that you turn
the EZ Crank for three to
fi ve minutes.
EZ Crank Radio Extreme
will provide thirty minutes
of light and radio power
from one minute of
turning. If the unit is
completely drained of
power we recommend
winding it for three to fi ve
minutes to achieve optimal
perfomance.

off fi rst before charging.
For best results, turn the
EZ Crank handle at a speed
of about 2 turns per second
(120 RPM).
Note: While winding, an
indicator light on the unit
will illuminate.
How to Use
Choose LIGHT or RADIO
on the switch at the top.
When not in use, the switch
should be set to RADIO and
the volume knob should be
turned to OFF.

Radio
1. Make sure the swich at
the top of the unit is turned
to RADIO.
2. Choose FM or AM using
the second switch on the
top of the unit.
3. Select a station by
turning the tuning knob on
the side of the unit.
4. Adjust volume by turning
the volume knob on the
side of the unit.
5. Insert your headphone
plug into the headphone
jack on the top, left side of
the unit, if desired.
For Better Reception
FM: Extend the antenna.
AM: Move the unit to fi nd
a position that offers good
reception.
Flashlight
Slide the switch at the top
of the unit to LIGHT. Note:
the radio cannot operate at
the same time as the light.
Charging a Cell Phone
The EZ Crank Radio
Flashlight with Cell Charger
can recharge most cell
phone brands, including:
To charge, choose the
adapter that matches the
adapter plug on your cell
phone. Insert the output
line into the DC-out jack
on the top of the unit, then
connect the appropriate
adapter plug to the output
line and plug it into your
mobile phone.
For best results, use the
cell charger when the unit
is fully charged.
Cell Phone Adapters
The EZ Crank Radio
Flashlight with Cell Charger
includes adapters that will
fi t most Motorola, Nokia
and Samsung phones.

Safety and Care
• Always turn off the
fl ashlight and radio when
charging.
• Avoid rough handling
such as bumping or
dropping.
• Avoid extreme
temperatures. For best
results, use between
the temperatures of
39º F and 100º F
(4º C and 38º C).
• Clean using a slightly
damp cloth. Do not use
cleaners with chemical
agents.
• Do not expose the
Radio
Flashlight with Cell
Charger
to direct
sunlight or other heat
source for any length of
time.
• Clean the lense with
glass-cleaning products.
• Do not use petroleum
distillates (such as
gasoline or kerosene)
or solvents (such as
acetone) to clean any
part of the Radio
Flashlight with Cell
Charger.

90-DAY LIMITED WARRANTY
E
XCALIBUR ELECTRONICS,
INC., warrants to the original
consumer that its products
are free from any electrical
or mechanical defects for a
period of 90 DAYS from the
date of purchase. If any such
defect is discovered within the
warranty period, EXCALIBUR
ELECTRONICS, INC., will repair
or replace the unit free of
charge upon receipt of the
unit, shipped postage prepaid
and insured to the factory
address shown below.
The warranty covers normal
consumer use and does not
cover damage that occurs in
shipment or failure that results
from alterations, accident,
misuse, abuse, neglect,
wear and tear, inadequate
maintenance, commercial
use, or unreasonable use of
the unit. Removal of the top
panel voids all warranties. This
warranty does not cover cost
of repairs made or attempted
outside of the factory.
Any applicable implied
warranties, including
warranties of merchantability
and fi tness, are hereby limited
to 90 DAYS from the date
of purchase. Consequential
or incidental damages
resulting from a breach of
any applicable express or
implied warranties are hereby
excluded. Some states do
not allow limitations on the
duration of LIMITED 90-
DAY WARRANTY
and do not
allow exclusion of incidental
damages, so the above
limitations and exclusions in
these instances may not apply.

and adequately insured.
Include a letter, detailing the
complaint and including your
daytime telephone number,
inside the shipping carton. If
your
warranty
has expired and
you want an estimated fee for
service, write to the above
address, specifying the model
and the problem.

unit without fi rst receiving an
estimate for servicing from

your unit. We cannot store
your unit!
