Placing the soft dome
The ability to hear in noisy environments is dependent upon a good t. You
can test which soft dome is best for you based on the size of your ear canal as
well as what feels most comfortable to you. Start with a ‘medium’ closed soft
dome* and slide it straight over the speaker opening of the MaRiC in-the-ear
module. You’re wearing the right size when the device sits rmly in the ear and
feels comfortable for you. Once you nd the right size of soft dome, you can test
whether the open or closed soft dome in this size ts more comfortably.

Troubleshooting
The MaRiC in-the-ear module does not feel comfortable in the ear
Possible cause Possible solution
The MaRiC in-the-ear module
is not properly placed or deep
enough in the ear canal.
Pull the MaRiC in-the-ear module out of the ear gradually by the
cable and reinsert it according to the insertion instructions.
It is possible that the soft dome
you are using is too big.
Try a smaller sized soft dome and judge after ten minutes if this
one is more comfortable.
The device produces a continuous whistling sound
The MaRiC in-the-ear module is

It is possible that the size of MaRiC
cable is too small.
It’s important that the MaRiC in-the-ear module is placed straight
in the ear canal and is not “pulled” up by using a too small size of
cable. A bigger sized MaRiC cable might be the solution.
It is possible that the whistling

open soft dome.
If you are using an open soft dome, try a closed soft dome. This
may cause the whistling noise to disappear.

Other information
The build up of earwax diers per person. When
you notice that the sound opening is clogged,
you can clean the soft dome or replace it. Check
the module(s) and soft dome(s) daily to see if they
are blocked or damaged. This will ensure both an
optimal performance of the device. If you notice the
soft dome is damaged, it is important you replace it
immediately! For optimum device performance and
minimal risk of infection, we advise you to replace
the soft dome at least once a month. Soft domes are
available in our webshop on www.exsilent.com/us
or at one of the audiologists of our partner network.
The receiver as well as the microphone is placed in
the MaRiC in-the-ear module. The MaRiC in-the-ear
module is inserted deep into the ear canal. As with
any hearing solution that is positioned deep within
the ear canal, the MaRiC in-the-ear module may
get some earwax on it. We recommend removing
the wax directly before it transfers to the speaker
opening of the MaRiC in-the-ear module.
Cleaning the MaRiC in-the-ear module:
First remove the soft dome to clean the MaRiC
in-the-ear module. Use a clean, dry, soft toothbrush
or a brush for hearing solutions and brush the outer
end of the MaRiC in-the-ear module gently until the
earwax has disappeared.
Cleaning the Ytango Lite behind-the-ear module:

the soft dome of your device regularly (at least
every 30 days), even if they are not visibly damaged
or soiled.
