Please note that USB 2.0 requires the use of a USB 2.0 Adapter
card. If you are using your internal USB interface, it is most likely
USB 1.0 or 1.1 and you will only be able to transfer at 7MB/s

AVOID SUBJECTING YOUR COBRA TO:
● High humidity and or high temperature/direct sunlight
● Liquids
● Dusty environment
● Excessive vibration/sudden shock
DO NOT!
● Try and service unit yourself! (Doing this will void COBRA warranty.)
● Do not open or remove covers!
IMPORTANT!
If your drive is delivered under hot or cold conditions, please allow the
drive to reach room temperature before operating to prevent damage.

MISC:
● Ifyou havea blue and white G3 make sure you updateyour firmwareand have
version1.1or greater.

1 Insert the Hard Disk Speedtools software CD
2 Open the installer
3 Make sure the USB drivers are selected and click install
4 Restart your computer.
To install the usb drivers, place the EZ-startup Kit CD in your
computer’s CD-ROM drive and restart your computer. When
Windows asks for a driver, direct it to your EZ-startup Kit CD.
The drivers for your device are located there.

How do I mount My USB Cobra hard Drive?
If your cobra USB Hard drive does not mount immediately after installing the software,
you can open the Hard Disk Speedtools program and click mount after selecting the
desired drive.
How do I create Multiple Partitions?
In order to create multiple partitions, you must reformat your hard drive and select the
number of partitions you wish to create and how large you want each partition. (see soft-
ware manual for more details)
What is the best way to disconnect my drive?
If you are using a PC, click twice on the hotplug icon in the system tray then click “stop
device” before removing the hard drive. If you are using a Macintosh, you need only
throw the Hard Drive icon in the trash before removing the hard drive.
My data is being corrupted when I transfer it to my Cobra USB hard Drive.
Your drive may need to be reformatted. Try to do a low level form at on your drive. PC
users, run scandisk to check for errors.
USB 2.0 Drives will work with OSX without the use of any third party drivers.
To install your USB 2.0 Drive simply connect your drive to your computer’s
USB port and open the Apple Disk Utility (located under applications->utilities)
and erase the disk.
