KULLANIM
‹lk kullan›mdan önce tüm paketleme
malzemelerini ç›kart›nız. Cihaz›n›z›n iç
bölümünde hiçbir fley kalmad›¤›n› kontrol
ediniz.
Not: Cihaz› ilk defa kullan›rken cihaz›
oluflturan parçalar›n ›s›nmas› ve k›zarmas›
için, ekmek yerlefltirmeden çal›flt›r›n›z.
• K›r›nt› tepsisinin yerleflmifl oldu¤unu ve
sürgü kolunun yukar›da oldu¤unu kontrol
ediniz.
• Cihaz›n›z› düz, sa¤lam bir yüzeye oturtunuz.
Düflme ve devrilme riski olmayan tezgah
ve benzeri yüzeylerden en az 7,5 cm uzak
yerlefltiriniz.
• fiebeke kablosunu aç›n ve fifli en yak›n
prize tak›nız.
• Ekmek dilimlerini yerlefltiriniz. Sürgü kolunun
yukar›da oldu¤undan emin olunuz.
• S›cakl›k seviyesini istedi¤iniz pozisyona

K›zartma ile ilgili notlar
K›zartma ifllemi hem piflirme hem kurutma
ifllemlerinin birleflimidir. Farkl› ekmek
çeflitleri, farkl› nem oranlar›na sahiptir. Bu
da k›zartma süresinin farkl› olmas›na sebep
olur.
• ‹nce ve kuru ekmekler için normalden daha
düflük s›cakl›klar› tercih ediniz.
• Taze ekmekler için normalden daha düflük
s›cakl›klar› tercih ediniz.
• Düz olmayan yüzeye sahip ekmekler için
daha yüksek s›cakl›klar› tercih ediniz.
• Kal›n dilimlenmifl ekmeklerin (k›zartmadan
önce ekmekte daha fazla buharlaflma
olaca¤› için) k›zartma süresinin daha uzun
olaca¤› dikkate al›nmal›d›r.
• Çok kal›n dilimlenmifl ekmekler 2 defa
k›zart›labilir.
• Üzümlü ya da meyveli ekmeklerinizi
k›zartmadan önce ekme¤in yüzeyinde,
düflecek gibi olan meyve parçac›klar›n›
temizleyiniz. Aksi taktirde bu parçac›klar
k›zarma an›nda makinenin tellerine
yap›flabilir.
• Kal›n ekmekleri k›zartmak için her dilimi 2
eflit parçaya ay›r›n›z.
•Tek dilim k›zartma: E¤er sadece 1 dilim
ekmek k›zartacaksan›z, normalden daha
düflük s›cakl›klar› tercih ediniz. Cihaz›n›z
normal olarak 2 dilim k›zartacak flekilde
dizayn edilmifltir. Tek dilim k›zartmalarda
ekme¤in yanmas›n› önlemek için daha
düflük s›cakl›klar› tercih ediniz.
•Donmufl Ekmekler: Donmufl ekmekler
ve hamur iflleri için defrost fonksiyonunu
kullanman›z gerekir.
1.Defrost Tuflu
Bu fonksiyon tuflu, s›cakl›¤› yavafl yavafl
artt›rarak, donmufl olan ekme¤in önce
eritilmesini, sonra k›zart›lmas›n› sa¤lar.
• Ekmek dilimlerini yuvaya yerlefltirin.
• ‹ste¤inize göre s›cakl›k ayar›n› yap›n.
a. Ayar 1-2: Buzdolab›nda orta kademe
so¤utulmufl ekmekler veya çok ince
dondurulmufl ürünler.
b. Ayar 3-4: Buzdolab›nda orta kademe
so¤utulmufl ve daha kal›n dilimlenmifl
ürünler
c. Ayar 5-6: Dondurulmufl kal›n ürünler
• Sürgü kolunu kilitlenene kadar afla¤› do¤ru
bast›r›nız.
• ‹fllem tamamland›¤›nda ekmekler otomatik
olarak yukar›ya ç›kacakt›r. ‹fllemi daha erken
iptal etmek için durdurma tufluna bas›nız.
2.Tekrar Is›tma Tuflu
Bu fonksiyon tuflu, önceden k›zart›lm›fl ya
da yeterince k›zarmam›fl ekme¤inizi hiçbir
ayar yapmadan ›s›tman›za olanak verir.
• Ekmek dilimlerini yuvaya yerlefltiriniz. Sürgü
kolunu kilitlenene kadar afla¤› do¤ru
bast›r›nız.
• Tekrar ›s›tma tufluna bas›nız.
• Tost makinesi k›sa bir süre çal›flacakt›r. (25-
40 saniye)
• ‹fllemi daha erken iptal etmek için durdurma
tufluna bas›nız.
TEM‹ZL‹K VE BAKIM
• Temizlik öncesi, her zaman k›zartma
makinesini prizden çekin ve so¤umas›n›
bekleyiniz.
• Asla afl›nd›r›c› temizlik maddeleri
kullanmay›nız. D›fl yüzeyi hafif nemli bir

bezle silin. Temizlik s›v›lar›n› direk olarak
cihaza uygulamak yerine bezinize
uygulay›nız.
• Cihaz›n içinde kalan k›r›nt›lar›n temizli¤i için
k›r›nt› tepsisini ç›kart›nız, tepsiyi y›kay›p
kurulay›nız. Asla, cihaz› tepsi tak›l› olmadan
çal›flt›rmay›nız.
• Cihaz›n içinde kalan ekmek parçalar›n›n
temizli¤i için cihaz› ters çevirerek hafifçe
sallay›n›z. Asla cihaz›n içine keskin ve sivri
aletler sokmay›n›z.
• Asla flebeke kablosunu cihaz›n d›fl›na
sarmay›n›z, kablo saklama bölümüne
sar›n›z.

INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing Fakir Ave Toaster
which has been designed and
manufactured to give you many years of
trouble-free service.
You may already be familiar with using a
similar product, but do please take time to
read these instructions - they have been
written to ensure you get the very best from
your purchase.
CAUTION
1. Do not touch hot Top cover. Use handles
or knobs. Chrome surfaces become
extremely hot.
2. To prevent against electrical hazards, do
not immerse cord , plug or toaster in water
or other liquid, See instructions for cleaning.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children.
4. Always unplug appliance from outlet when
not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool before cleaning and handling.
5. Do not operate any appliance with a
damaged cord or plug, Do not replace that
if the power or plug is damaged. After
appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or
damaged in any manner. Return the
appliance to an authorized service facility
for examination, repair or electrical or
mechanical adjustment.
6. Do not use any unauthorized attachments.
This will void the warranty and may cause
fire, electric shock or injury.
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or
counter or touch hot surfaces.
9. Do not place toaster on or near a hot gas
or electric burner or a heated oven.
10. To disconnect, grasp plug and remove
from outlet. Never unplug by pulling the
cord.
11. Do not use toaster for other than intended
use.
12. Oversized foods. Metal foil packages or
utensils must not be inserted in the toaster
as they may involve a risk of fire or electric
shock.
13. Do not operate toaster near flammable
materials such as curtains, wall fabric, etc.
to prevent fire.
14. Do not attempt to dislodge food when the
toaster is plugged into electrical outlet.
15. Clean out accumulated crumbs frequently
to avoid risk of fire or toaster malfunction.
Do not use foods that will drip coatings or
fillings when heated. Such accumulations
inside the toaster create unsanitary
conditions and the possibility of fire or
toaster malfunction. Unplug when not in
use and before cleaning.
16. Never force into toasting slot. Foods should
fit freely between the guard wires.

18. Uneven toasting is usually due to bread
slices of uneven thickness.
19. To avoid possibility of fire, do not leave
toaster unattended during use.
20. This appliance is not designed to be used
by persons (including children) with limited
physical, sensory or mental capacities or
by persons lacking in experience and/or
knowledge, unless they are supervised by
someone who is responsible for their safety
or have received instructions on how to use
the appliance.

•Light /Dark selector -- Sets desired
toast color from light to dark.
•Defrost button-- Defrosts and toasts
frozen bread. Indicator lights when selected.
•Reheat button-- Reheat without browning.

•Stop button-- Interrupts toasting process
when pressed.
•Pull out crumb tray-- Removes easily
to clean crumbs from bottom of toaster.
•Cord storage--Takes up excess cord
and keeps countertop neat.
USE & CARE
Before first use, make sure all packaging
materials have been removed from the
toaster. Check in both toaster slots no
packaging material is left inside.
Note: Do not place any bread in toaster
during the first toasting to allow the new
elements to preheat and burn off any
dust which may have accumulated
during assembly.
• Make sure crumb tray is in place and bread
carriage is in the up position.
• Set up toaster on flat, firm countertop
surface away form the edge and at least 3
inches away from wall or rear of counter.
• Unwind power cord and plug power cord
into nearby outlet.
• Insert slices of bread. Be sure bread
carriage lever is in up position.
• Turn the light/dark selector to desired
position. The higher the number (1-6), the
darker the toast color.
• Press the bread carriage lever down until
it locks into position.
• When the toasting cycle is completed, the
toast is automatically ejected up. To interrupt
toasting before the toasting cycle has been

complete, simply press the cancel button.
• After toasting, unplug the toaster from outlet.
Toasting notes
Toasting is a combination of cooking and
drying the bread, Moisture levels differ from
one bread to another, which can result in
varying toasting times.
• For slightly dry bread, use a lower light/dark
setting than normal.
• For fresh bread or whole wheat, use a
higher setting than normal.
• Breads with very uneven surfaces (such
as English muffins) will require a higher
light/dark setting.
• Thickly cut pieces of bread (including
bagels) will take longer to toast, sometimes
significantly longer, since more moisture
must be evaporated from the bread before
toasting can occur.
• Very thick pieces may require two cycles.
• When toasting raisin or other fruit breads,
remove any loose raisins from the surface
of the bread before placing into the toaster.
This will help prevent pieces from falling
into the toaster or sticking on the guard
wire in the slot.
• Before toasting bagels, slice each bagel
into two equal halves.
•Single slice toasting: If you are toasting
as single slice of bread, set the light/dark
selector lighter than normal. The toaster is
designed to heat the whole toasting
chamber for two slices. By reducing the
toasting time for a single slice it will not be
over toasted.
•Frozen breads: Frozen waffles, pancakes,
French toast and frozen bagels should be
warmed using the defrost button.
•Pastries: Exercise caution when toasting
pastries. The filling can become quite hot
long before the surface of the pastry
becomes brown.
Defrost Button
The defrost button is designed to first defrost
and then toast the bread, which extends
the toasting cycle slightly.
• Turn the light/dark selector to desired
position:
a)Setting 1-2:refrigerated breads and
thinner frozen items such as frozen
pancakes.
b)Setting 3-4: pastries, frozen waffles, thin
French toast and refrigerated bagels.
c)Setting 5-6: Thicker frozen items such as
bagels, hand cut bread and thick French
toast.
• Press the bread carriage lever down until
if locks into position.
• When the cycle is complete the bread
carriage will raise the toast up. If you wish
to stop the defrosting before it is finished.
simply press the cancel button.
Reheat Button
The reheat function allows you to reheat
already toasted bread or to toast bread
which is not toasted enough during a short
time without modifying the browning degree,
about 25~40 seconds.
• Cold toast can be reheated, provided it is
fairly moist and has nothing spread on it.
• Put toast into the slots and press the bread
carriage lever down until it locks into
position.
• Press the reheat button and the red indicator
light will turn on.
• Toaster will operate for a short period only
(about 25 ~ 40 Seconds).
• If you wish to stop the toasting before it is
finished, simply press the stop button.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Always unplug the toaster from electrical
outlet and allow to cool before cleaning.
• Do not use abrasive cleansers. Simply wipe
the exterior with a clean damp cloth and
dry thoroughly. Apply any cleaning agent
to cloth, not directly onto the toaster.
• To remove crumbs slide out the crumb tray
and discard crumbs. Wipe clean and
replace, Never operate the toaster without
crumb tray in place.
• To remove any pieces of bread remaining
in the toaster, turn the toaster upside down
and shake gently. Never inset any hard or
sharp instrument into the slots as this could
damage the toaster and cause a safety
hazard.
• Never wrap the cord around the outside of
the toaster, use the cord storage cleats on
the underside of the toaster.
DISPATCH
Carry the appliance in the original package
or a similar, well-padded package to
prevent damage to the appliance.

This appliance fulfills the requirements of
the Appliance and Product Safety Law
(GPSG) and the EU Directives. The
appliance bears the CE mark on the rating
plate.
