The Fame Pro Trigger Pack converts acoustic drums into an electronic or
hybrid set in just two steps. In connection with a suitable E-Drum Module
- e.g. the Fame Hybrid Pro - the sound behavior and the feel of the playing
remain absolutely true to nature and super realistic. At the same time,
there are countless high-end sounds of all kinds available in this context,
which allow phenomenal flexibility in sound design.
Let your creativity flow!

4
Thanks for purchasing the Fame Pro Trigger Pack. It is especially designed
to work well with the Fame Hybrid Pro Module, but Fame Triggers work
also perfectly with any other regular drum module. Before you mount the
trigger it is important to know, that there is no need to over tighten the
trigger on the Rim: Don’t use excessive force. Thanks to the anti-glide
design the trigger will reside securely on the rim or the hoop. If you over
tighten the mounting screw, it may damage the trigger casing and limit
your warranty.
Setting up Tom/Snare trigger:
Mount the trigger to a place on the rim away from you to avoid
unnecessary strikes on the actual trigger casing. Do not over tighten! Let
the actual trigger sensor slightly touch the head before you tighten it
lightly to the rim. The rubber holders will keep it in place. There is no need
to apply pressure on the sensor towards the head surface as the sensor
tracks well, just slightly touching the head.
5
6
Setting Up the Kick trigger:
We suggest you to mount the Kick-Trigger on the top side of your kick
drum. In the Kick trigger box there is a rubber washer. Use this washer
for thin styled Kick hoops. Put the washer between the hoop inside and
the holder legs of the kick trigger before lightly tightening the trigger to
the hoop. Do not over tighten!
The reason for using the rubber washer is to get the actual sensor further
in towards the center resulting in a better controlled triggering.
Because Kick hoops differ in size the Fame Pro Kick Trigger has a
mounting screw that can be moved up and down in its groove, making it
possible to find the optimal mounting position. Contrary to the Tom
mounting you might need to apply some pressure to the sensor onto the
head to fix the Kick trigger to the hoop.
7
Don’t worry: The sensor sports a special spring design that allows a
pressure without compromising the trigger response. When you have
found the correct position, lightly tighten the kick trigger to the Hoop
Do not over tighten!
The rubber sleeves on the casing will keep the trigger in place.
8
Connection to the Fame Hybrid Pro Module:
Kick Trigger: Connect a Mono cable (stereo will do if tip is hot) with a ¼“
jack connector to the drum module.
Tom/ Snare Trigger: Connect a stereo cable between your triggers and
the Fame Hybrid Pro, preferable Tom triggers to Tom1-4, Snare Trigger to
Snare and the Kick trigger to the Kick input. Double check you receive a
trigger indication on the module when you hit the drum head or the rim.
If not –check your cable and/if the cable is inserted properly.
Adjusting trigger settings on your Fame Hybrid Pro Module:
The Fame Hybrid Pro comes with default trigger settings for pads. You will
need to adjust this to be able to get the best triggering for your Fame Pro
Triggers.
Please note: Always double check the actual sound modules owners
manual for latest trigger settings instructions.
9
First check that your Fame Hybrid Pro Module is set to SAVE MODE ON.
Go to MIXER-UNIT- PREF Page and change the value SAVE to ON. When
this is done you shall set the actual trigger parameter.
Go to MIXER-UNIT-TRIG Page. Hit a drum or change the trigger channel at
CHANNEL-CHAN you like to edit. In the TRIG page you have the following
parameters to tweak:
TYPE/GAIN/THRESH/CURVE/XTALK
You also have LEVEL, which is helpful to read out and monitor the level of
the trig signal. Follow these steps for each channel on the module:
Change TYPE to AcTr1 (applies to Snare and smaller ranking
Toms) and use AcTr2 or AcTr3 for Kick and Floor-Toms. For Rim
Channel use TYPE Rim.
Adjust GAIN so your hardest hit reads 0 dB in the LEVEL
monitor. This is important to do to get the best dynamic range
out of your Fame Hybrid Pro.
10
Tweak THRES to reduce double triggering. Less value makes the
drum less sensitive and also less sensitive for double triggering.
Tweak CURVE if you want another dynamic response. In short:
Pos1 will make softer hits more sensitive, Neg1 will make softer
hits less sensitive.
To reduce Crosstalk issues between the triggers you can edit the
value from Off to High.
When finished, SAVE the new settings by SAVE?
The new setting will be taken over and at next start up the
module will start with these settings.
Make a KIT file called FAMEPROTrigger.dkt with the special
trigger settings already set in the right place. Store this file on
the memory of the Fame Hybrid Pro. By pressing the MORE and
MODE button on start you get a list where you can choose the
Bank-File that is suitable for the occasion. Afterwards you can
use the Fame Pro Trigger Pack perfectly with your Fame Hybrid
Pro Module.
