Important safety instructions! Please read before connection!
DANGER! (Electric shock due to high voltages in the device)
The housing must not be removed! There are no parts to be maintained in the device.
Inside the unit there are components which are under high electrical voltage.
Before each use, check the device for damage or the absence of components, protective
devices or housing parts. If this is the case, do not use the device!
Leave maintenance and repair work to a qualified service workshop or contact your
dealer.
DANGER! (Electric shock due to short circuit)
Modifications to the power cord or plug are prohibited. If the power cord is damaged, it
must be replaced immediately with an original spare part from the manufacturer. Failure
to do so may result in fire or death due to electric shock!
DANGER! (For babies and children)
Dispose of or store any packaging material properly! Packaging material must be kept out
of the reach of babies and children due to the danger of suffocation.
Make sure that children never use the device unattended! In addition, make sure that
children do not remove (small) parts from the device, as they could suffocate by
swallowing parts!
Hint! (Fire hazard due to overheating)
The maximum permissible ambient temperature of this device is 40°C.
Ensure that the unit is placed in a place with adequate ventilation, out of the reach of
direct heat sources, naked flames and combustible materials and liquids.
The ventilation slots of the device must not be taped or covered.
Hint! (Operating conditions)
Due to its structural characteristics, the device is designed for indoor operation (IP20).
Never expose the device to rain, moisture or liquids as this may cause damage.
Vibrations, dust or solar radiation can also lead to damage, avoid them!
Hint! (Condensation)
To avoid condensation in the unit, the unit should adapt to the ambient temperature
before commissioning.

Hint! (Power supply)
It is essential that you check that the device voltage matches your local mains voltage. It
is highly recommended that you fuse your mains socket with a residual current circuit
breaker (FI).
If you do not use your device for a longer period of time, disconnect it from the power
supply in order to minimize danger. The same applies to storm conditions such as
thunderstorms, floods, etc.
Hint! (Unwanted odours)
A new product can sometimes lead to unwanted odours. This reaction is normal and
disappears after a few minutes.
Hint! (Damage to loudspeaker diaphragms due to feedback)
Avoid feedback by keeping the microphone away from activated speakers that are
simultaneously listening to the signal. If necessary, turn off the speakers completely.

Symbols on device and packaging:
The lightning flash symbol warns the user about non-insulated current and the
risk of electrocution.
The exclamation mark symbol warns the user about important maintenance and
operating instructions in the manual.
The lightning warns you of dangerous voltage accessible from the outside. A
connection to any terminal marked with this symbol may only be made with a
ready-made cable that complies with the manufacturer's recommendations or
with cables installed by qualified personnel

Intended use:
The product FAME Pro Series RPM 8 was designed for the demanding small sound
reinforcement due to the precise and detailed reproduction. The device may only be operated for
this purpose and in accordance with the operating instructions. Other purposes as well as operation
under other operating conditions are expressly not intended and can lead to damage to property or
personal injury! No liability is assumed for damage resulting from improper use.
It must be ensured that the device is operated exclusively by trained and competent users who are
in full possession of their mental, physical and sensory abilities. The use of other persons is
expressly only permitted at the request of a person responsible for their safety, who instructs or
supervises the use.

Scope of delivery:

Power supply / power cable:
The cable must not be laid near hot objects such as heaters or radiators.
Avoid excessive buckling and other damage.
Do not place heavy objects on the cable.
Make sure that nobody can step on it or trip over it and do not roll any objects over it.
Pay attention to the mains voltage prescribed for this device (see back of speaker).
Only the enclosed mains cable may be used.
The condition of the electrical plug must be checked regulary. If necessary, remove any
dirt or dust that has accumulated on it.
Avoid placing on sloping surfaces to prevent accidental slippage/dropping.
Only suitable sockets with safety earthing may be used. Improper or missing grounding
is associated with the risk of electric shock.
Please do not open:
The loudspeaker does not contain any user serviceable parts.
Do not attempt to disassemble the unit, remove or modify and internal components.
If the loudspeakers do not work, discontinue use and have it checked by a qualified
MUSIC STORE professional employee.
Warning of liquids:
The loudspeakers must not be exposed to rain.
Avoid use near water or in humid water conditions.
Do not place any containers with liquids on them (vases, drinks, etc.). If it’s tilted over,
liquid may enter the opening of the unit.
Hints for switching on/off:
Always switch on the loudspeakers last in the chain of your workplace and switch them off first.
Switching on/off devices in the signal chain (computer, mixing console, etc.) generates impulses
that affect the membrane when the loudspeakers are activated (often perceived as crackling).
These impulses can cause serious damage to the diaphragm.

Connection instructions:
It is recommended to use XLR or balanced jack cables when connecting both speakers to the
mixer/audio interface, etc. Cinch connections are also possible, but they do not provide sufficient
protection against possible interferences or interferences and are noticeable in a negative way
(noise, humming).
Feedback:
Avoid feedback by keeping microphones away from the activated speakers that are
simultaneously listening to the signal. If necessary, switch off the speakers completely.
Installation:
Always check the device for damage before use. Use the original packaging or suitable transport
or storage packaging to protect the product optimally from influences such as dust or moisture,
etc. when not in use
Commissioning:
All connections of the device should be made before switching on. Only use high-quality,
undamaged and as short cables as possible for the connections.

Due to their precise and detailed playback, the two active RPM 5 monitors are used in
home studios, project studios, video editing suites, desktop hifi areas, as DJ monitor
boxes and for demanding small sound reinforcement applications.

Troubleshooting:
The following overview serves as an aid for quick troubleshooting. If you should be uncertain,
contact the manufacturer, the dealer or the corresponding specialist personnel. Never open the
device yourself!

Symptom
Troubleshooting
No tone
Check the cable for damage (cuts, extreme kinks,
etc.) and replace if necessary.
Check the wiring. Connectors must be fully
inserted and snap into place!
Slowly increase the volume of both speakers using
the volume control on the rear panel.
Check the input/output section in the audio
settings of your operating system or in the DAW
(digital audio workstation) you are using. The
correct outputs of your audio interface should be
selected here. Please read the corresponding
manual of the software/operating system.
Dull sound/height-heavy sound
Check the HF (High Filter) settings on the back of
the speakers. This attenuates or amplifies higher
frequencies and serves to adapt to the room.

Cleaning:
A regular cleaning of the device from impurities and dust increases the durability of the product.
Always disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning it! Never clean the appliance
wet! Optical lenses should be cleaned with a dry microfiber cloth to optimize light output.
Ventilation grilles and openings should always be cleaned of dust and dirt. Suitable compressed
air sprays are recommended for this application.
Environmental Protection:

to a minimum. The use of environmentally friendly and recyclable materials is of fundamental
importance to us. Please recycle the packaging components after use.
Disposal of packaging:
Ensure that paper packaging, plastic materials, etc. are separately recycled. Observe the
corresponding disposal instructions on the packaging.
Disposal of batteries:
Batteries should not be thrown away! Please dispose of batteries in accordance with
official regulations.
Disposal of your old device:
Do not dispose of the device with household waste! This device is subject to the WEEE
Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) in its currently valid version.
The device is to be disposed of by an approved disposal company or your local waste disposal
service. The regulations applicable in your country must be observed!
