■ 2.0 Installation
IMPORTANT:
Under no circumstances should you insert or remove the
SPEEDSTER
®
PURE from your console while it is switched on.
This could damage your steering wheel and/or console, and
invalidate your warranty.
■ 2.1 Assembly
Attachment to the table:
Attach the table fastener to the bottom side of the steering wheel
by passing the metal retaining clip (1) through the table fastener
(2) and putting both into the opening (3). Tighten the screw (4)
until the steering wheel is securely attached to the table (5).
Attachment to the legs:
Put both leg fasteners (6, 7) into the intended openings on the
bottom side of the steering wheel. Please pay attention to the
correct mounting position.
After the pins were inserted into the opening, the leg fastener must
be pressed to the outside until the fastener clicks noticeably into
place. It will function more easily if you press first on the upper bolts
and then on the lower bolts.

4) Insert a driving game disc
NOTE:
The steering wheel should be in central position when
switching on the console and must not be moved because
it is calibrated during the start-up.

■3.1 The SPEEDSTER
®
PURE
Operating Components
3.1.1 The Steering Wheel
The steering wheel controls all steering movement.
The buttons are located in the center of the wheel:
L1 and L2 on the left, R1 and R2 on the right, and
MODE, START, SELECT and TUNING in the middle.
Right in the centre is the silver steering cross with the direction
keys for navigation in the game menu or for selecting the different
settings in TUNING mode.
The left gear lever has been assigned to the "L3 button" and the
right gear lever to the "R3 button". If you want to drive using the
manual shift, you must configure and store this assignment in the
game (recommended).

If a setting is not possible in the game, you can change the
assignment of the shift levers.
For more information, see "Tuning".
Above the keys in the centre of the steering wheel are three
status LEDs.
3.1.2 The Wheel Unit
The steering wheel is tied on the console. The attachments for the
table fastener or leg fasteners are on the bottom side.
3.1.3 The Pedals
The left pedal is the brake and the right pedal acts as the
accelerator. If the analog mode is supported by the game, the
pedals are pressure sensitive
.
■3.2 Operating Modes
The SPEEDSTER®PURE is provided with 2 different operating mo-
des that are displayed by the LEDs on the steering wheel. The mo-
des can be changed with the MODE switch. The analogue mode
will be automatically selected with up-to-date games.
3.2.1 Digital Vibration-mode
The digital mode was developed to ensure full compatibility with
older
( PS one
®
and PlayStation
®
) games.
With racing games that support a vibration function, this function
will be in evidence in the appropriate situations, such as during a
collision with another vehicle or a wall.
3.2.2 Analog Vibration-mode
The
SPEEDSTER®PURE analog mode enables the precise
amount of movement required. This mode emulates the analog
function of the Analog Controller (DUALSHOCK
®
) and the Analog
Controller (DUALSHOCK
®
2). Here, too, the vibration effect can be
felt with the corresponding software (see above).

■3.3 Tuning
By pressing the "TUNING" button, you switch to Tuning mode,
and can make several settings to adjust the
SPEEDSTER®
PURE to the game or to your own driving style.
The settings are displayed by the three status LEDs.
The settings are deleted if the console is switched off or the
steering wheel is disconnected.
3.3.1 Dead Zone
The dead zone is the area around the central position of the
steering wheel within which a movement does not trigger a
reactionfrom the car in the game. This area can be extended, or
completely eliminated if you want every steering wheel movement
to immediately result in a reaction by the car.
1. Press "TUNING"
2. Choose the desired setting with the direction
keys "LEFT" and "RIGHT"
3. Press "TUNING" to leave tuning mode
3.3.2 Sensitivity
This function adjusts the in-game reaction of the car to the
steering. With setting 3, a slight steering already causes a
sharp bend. With setting 0, you have to turn into completely
for the same bend.
1. Press "TUNING"
2. Choose the desired setting with the direction
keys "UP" and "DOWN"
3. Press "TUNING" to leave tuning mode
3.3.3 Programming
Both shift levers can be assigned with different functions.
- Press "TUNING"
- Press the shift lever you want to change
- Press the desired function (e.g. key "R2")
Now you can reassign the other shift lever or leave programming
mode by pressing "TUNING".
The function of the pedals can also be changed. Some games can
be controlled more precisely by using the right mini joystick of
the analogue controller (DUALSHOCK®or DUALSHOCK®2) for
accelerating or braking.

ACCELERATOR PEDAL:
- Press "TUNING"
- Touch accelerator pedal lightly
- Press direction key "up"
- Press "TUNING"
The accelerator pedal now has the function "right mini joystick
forward".
BRAKE PEDAL:
- Press "TUNING"
- Touch brake pedal lightly
- Press direction key "down"
- Press "TUNING"
The brake pedal now has the function "right mini joystick backward".
Please note that the key definition in the game must be
changed accordingly!
■4.0 Cleaning And Care
Cleaning
Unplug the
SPEEDSTER® PURE from the console before cleaning
it. Clean the steering wheel and pedals with a soft cloth slightly
moistened with a mild detergent solution.
Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners such as benzene
or paint thinner. When using a synthetic duster, refer to the
precautions supplied with it.
Placement
The product should be situated away from heat sources such as
radiators, or other products that produce heat. Operate in an
environment where temperatures range from 5°C - 35°C.
Do not use the product on an unstable surface. The product may
fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult and serious damage
to the product.
Do not use the product near water.
Do not leave the steering wheel on the floor.
Object entry
Never push objects of any kind into the product through openings
as they may touch dangerous voltage points that could result in
a fire or electric shock.
Handling
Do not throw, let the steering wheel or pedals drop, or allow any
solid objects to fall onto the peripheral or its accessories. When
transporting the steering wheel, do not subject it to any strong
impact. Doing so may cause malfunction.
Do not twist or pull the cable too strongly.
NOTE:
Never disassemble or modify the SPEEDSTER
®
PURE.
ENDOR
®
AG expressly prohibits the analysis and use of
its circuit configurations, hardware, software, and firm-
ware.

■5.0 Troubleshooting
Support
If any problems should occur in the use of the SPEEDSTER®
PURE, please use the following trouble shooting guide. If any
problem cannot be solved with it, please contact the hotline of the
respective country. You will find further information and contact
information on the website www.Fanatec.com.
5.1 My Steering Wheel Does Not Work
Check that the game you have selected supports the steering
wheel’s current operating mode.
If the
SPEEDSTER® PURE is still not working, turn off the console
and disconnect the
SPEEDSTER® PURE.
Re-connect it and turn on your console again.
5.2 The Vehicle Drifts In A Certain Direction
The
SPEEDSTER® PURE needs to be re-calibrated. Turn the
console off and on again. Please touch neither the steering wheel
nor the pedals when switching on the console.
5.3 The Vehicle’s Reactions Are Too Sensitive/Too Slow
Open the Options menu of the game and adjust the steering
sensitivity. Try a fine adjustment as described in the TUNING
section. Note: When the console is turned off, the default settings
are reactivated.
5.4 I cannot activate the digital vibration mode
Modern games automatically activate the analogue vibration
mode as soon as mini joysticks are supported. In any case, this
mode is to be preferred to the digital vibration mode.

■7.0 Warranty
7.1 ENDOR AG provides a two-year warranty on material and
production defects for the hardware product – this
warranty does not effect the statutory consumer rights
applicable in the jurisdiction.
7.2 Exemptions from the warranty are defects caused by:
7.2.1 commercial use of the product and/or
7.2.2 normal wear and tear and/or
7.2.3 damage caused by the action of third parties
and/or which can be attributed to
7.2.4 inappropriate use or treatment
and/or
7.2.5 use of the product not in accordance with the operating
and maintenance instructions
and/or

7.2.6 installation not in accordance with the instructions
and/or
7.2.7 non-adherence to the local safety standards
and/or
7.2.8 the consequences of third party intervention or
unauthorised opening of the device including any changes,
adjustments and/or adaptation measures (including if they
are carried out by a specialist).
7.3 The warranty comes into force on the day of purchase
on which the end user acquires the product and is
restricted exclusively to the rights as set out in Clause
7.3.2 unless otherwise covered by statutory warranty
rights.
7.3.1 The condition for performance of the warranty is that the
defective product is sent in within the warranty period with
the original receipt of purchase which must contain the
purchase date as well as the name of the company
making the initial sale.
7.3.2 At the discretion of ENDOR AG, the warranty covers
either free repair or exchange of parts of the product or
the exchange of the product as a whole.
7.3.3 For defects not covered by warranty or excluded from
performance of the warranty in accordance with
Section 7.2.1 – 7.2.8, the local customer service
organisation or local dealer should be asked about
repair possibilities.
7.4 To the extent permitted by law, any other liability arising
from intent or gross negligence is excluded for all direct
or indirect damages and consequential damages
irrespective of the basis of the claim,
7.4.1 with respect to, in particular, damage to all property,
data loss, as well as economic loss such as lost profit
and transport damage in connection with returns to
ENDOR AG.
7.4.2 To the extent that in some countries or parts of countries,
warranty limitations in accordance with Clause 7.4 are
not permitted by or effective in law, the restrictions will
apply to the extent that warranty exclusions can be agreed
in accordance with the respective national statutory and
legal situation.

WICHTIG:
Unter keinen Umständen sollten Sie das SPEEDSTER
®
PURE in die Konsole einstecken bzw. herausziehen,
während sie noch eingeschaltet ist.
Dies kann zur Beschädigung des Lenkrads und/oder der
Konsole führen. Beschädigungen dieser Art machen die
Garantie unwirksam.
■ 2.1 Montage
Befestigung am Tisch:
Befestigen Sie die Tischhalterung an der Unterseite des
Lenkrades indem sie den Haltebügel aus Metall (1) durch die
Tischhalterung (2) führen und beides zusammen in die Öffnung (3)
stecken. Ziehen Sie anschließend die Schraube (4) solange fest,
bis das Lenkrad stabil am Tisch befestigt ist (5).
Befestigung auf den Beinen:
Stecken Sie die beiden Schenkelhalterungen (6, 7) in die dafür
vorgesehenen Öffnungen auf der Unterseite des Lenkrads.
Bitte beachten Sie die richtige Einbaurichtung.
Nachdem die Bolzen in den Öffnungen eingeführt wurden muss die
Schenkelhalterung mit etwas Nachdruck nach außen gedrückt
werden, bis die Halterung spürbar einrastet. Es funktioniert
leichter wenn Sie zuerst auf die oberen Bolzen und dann auf die
unteren Bolzen drücken.

1) Schalten Sie Ihre Konsole aus

mit dem Controller Port 1 Ihrer Konsole
3) Schalten Sie die Konsole wieder ein
4) Legen Sie ein Rennspiel in die Konsole ein
HINWEIS:
Das Lenkrad sollte sich beim Einschalten der Konsole
in der Mittelstellung befinden und darf nicht bewegt
werden, da es in der Startphase kalibriert wird.

■3.1 Die Bedienelemente des
SPEEDSTER®PURE
3.1.1 Das Lenkrad
Das Lenkrad steuert alle Lenkbewegungen.
Die Tasten sind in der Mitte des Lenkrads plaziert:
Auf der linken Seite befinden sich
g , l ,L1 und L2, rechts
p , X, R1 und R2 und in der Mitte MODE, START, SELECT und
TUNING.
Ganz in der Mitte befindet sich das silberne Steuerkreuz mit
den Richtungstasten zur Navigation im Menü des Spiels
oder zum auswählen der verschiedenen Einstellungen im
TUNING Modus.
Der linke Schalthebel ist dem „L3 Button” zugewiesen und
der rechte Schalthebel dem „R3 Button”. Wenn Sie mit
Handschaltung fahren wollen, so müssen Sie diese Belegung
im Spiel einstellen und abspeichern (empfohlen).

Sollte eine Einstellung im Spiel nicht möglich sein, so können Sie
die Belegung der Schalthebel ändern.
Näheres finden Sie unter „Tuning”.
Oberhalb der Tasten in der Mitte des Lenkrads befinden sich
drei Status-LEDs.
3.1.2 Die Lenkradeinheit
Auf der Konsole ist das Lenkrad verankert. Auf der Unterseite
befinden sich die Befestigungen für die Tischhalterung oder die
Schenkelhalterungen.
3.1.3 Die Pedale
Das linke Pedal ist die Bremse und das rechte Pedal dient zur
Beschleunigung. Wenn der Analog Modus vom Spiel unterstützt
wird, so funktionieren die Pedale drucksensitiv.
■3.2 Betriebsmodi
Das SPEEDSTER®PURE verfügt über 2 unterschiedliche
Betriebsmodi, die mittels der auf dem Lenkrad angebrachten
LEDs angezeigt werden. Die Modi können mit dem Schalter
„MODE” gewechselt werden. Bei aktuellen Spielen wird der
analoge Modus automatisch aktiviert.
3.2.1 Digitaler Vibrations Modus
Der Digitalmodus wurde entwickelt, um volle Kompatibilität
zu alten (PS one
®
und PlayStation®) Rennspielen zu gewährleisten.
Bei Rennspielen, die eine Vibrationsfunktion unterstützen, wird sich
diese in entsprechenden Situationen bemerkbar machen, so z.B.
bei einer Kollision mit einem anderen Fahrzeug oder auch mit
einer Wand.
3.2.2 Analoger Vibrations Modus
Der Analogmodus des SPEEDSTER
®
PURE ermöglicht eine höchst
präzise Dosierung der Bewegungen. In diesem Modus werden der
Analog Controller (DUALSHOCK
®
) und der Analog Controller
(DUALSHOCK
®
2) emuliert. Auch hier macht sich der Vibrations-
effekt bei entsprechender Software bemerkbar (s.o.).

■3.3 Tuning
Durch Drücken der Taste „TUNING” kommt man in den Tuning
Modus und man kann einige Einstellungen vornehmen um das
SPEEDSTER®PURE optimal an das Spiel oder den eigenen
Fahrstil anzupassen.
Die Einstellungen werden durch die drei Status-LEDs angezeigt.
Die Einstellungen erlöschen sobald die Konsole ausgeschaltet wird
oder das Lenkrad ausgesteckt wird.
3.3.1 Dead-Zone
Die Dead-Zone ist der Bereich um die Mittelstellung des Lenk-
rades indem eine Bewegung des Lenkrades noch keine Reaktion
des Autos im Spiel auslöst. Dieser Bereich kann erweitert werden
oder vollständig eliminiert werden um bei jeder Lenkradbewegung
sofort eine Fahrzeugreaktion zu erhalten.
1. Drücken Sie „TUNING”
2. Wählen Sie die gewünschte Einstellung mit den
Richtungstasten „LINKS” und „RECHTS”
3. Drücken Sie „TUNING” um den Tuning Modus
zu verlassen
3.3.2 Sensibilität
Diese Funktion regelt wie stark das Auto im Spiel auf Lenk-
bewegungen reagiert. Bei Einstellung 3 löst bereits eine kleine
Lenkbewegung eine starke Kurve des Autos aus. Bei 0 muss man
für die selbe Kurve voll einlenken.
1. Drücken Sie „TUNING”
2. Wählen Sie die gewünschte Einstellung mit den
Richtungstasten „AUF” und „AB”
3. Drücken Sie „TUNING” um den Tuning Modus
zu verlassen
3.3.3 Programmierung
Die beiden Schalthebel können mit anderen Funktionen belegt
werden.
- Drücken Sie „TUNING”
- Drücken Sie den Schalthebel den Sie verändern möchten
- Drücken Sie anschließend die gewünschte Funktion
(z.B. Taste „R2”)

Manche Spiele lassen sich präziser steuern wenn mit dem
rechten Mini-Joystick des Analog Controllers (DUALSHOCK®
oder DUALSHOCK®2) beschleunigt und gebremst wird.

■4.0 Pflege
Reinigung
Stecken Sie das
SPEEDSTER® PURE von der Konsole ab bevor
Sie es reinigen. Säubern Sie das Lenkrad und die Pedale mit einem
weichen Tuch, welches nur leicht mit einem milden Reinigungsmittel
befeuchtet ist.
Verwenden Sie keine Flüssig- oder Aerosol Reiniger wie z.B.
Benzin oder Verdünnung. Sollten Sie einen synthetischen Staubwedel
benutzen, beachten Sie bitte die Vorsichtsmassnahmen mit denen
er ausgeliefert wurde.
Platzierung
Das Produkt sollte nicht in der Nähe von Hitzequellen wie z.B.
Heizungen, oder anderen Gegenständen die Hitze erzeugen,
platziert werden. Benutzen Sie es nur in Umgebungen, deren
Temperatur zwischen 5°C und 35°C liegt.
Verwenden Sie das Produkt nicht auf einer instabilen Oberfläche.
Das Produkt könnte herunterfallen und Verletzungen verursachen
sowie selbst beschädigt werden.
Verwenden Sie das Produkt nicht in der Nähe von Wasser.
Lassen Sie das Lenkrad nicht auf dem Boden liegen.
Einführen von Objekten
Schieben Sie niemals Gegenstände jedweder Art in das Innere des
Gerätes. Sie könnten stromführende Punkte berühren, was zu
Feuer oder Elektroschocks führen könnte.
Behandlung
Werfen Sie das Produkt nicht, lassen Sie weder das Lenkrad noch
die Pedale fallen und lassen Sie keine schweren Objekte auf das
Lenkrad oder die Pedale fallen. Wenn Sie das Produkt trans-
portieren, achten sie darauf das es keinen Belastungen ausgesetzt
wird. Dies könnte zu Fehlfunktionen führen.
Bitte ziehen Sie nicht am Kabel und verdrehen Sie es nicht.

■5.0 Fehlerbeseitigung/Support
Sollten irgendwelche Schwierigkeiten beim Betrieb des SPEEDSTER®
PURE auftreten, benutzen Sie bitte den folgenden Ratgeber zur
Fehlerbeseitigung. Sollte irgendein Problem dadurch nicht zu
beseitigen sein, dann wenden Sie sich bitte an die Hotline des
jeweiligen Landes. Auf der website www.Fanatec.com finden
Sie weitere Angaben und Kontaktinformationen.
5.1 Mein Lenkrad funktioniert nicht
Überprüfen Sie, ob das von Ihnen gewählte Spiel den aktuellen
Betriebsmodus des Lenkrades unterstützt.
Sollte das SPEEDSTER®PURE immer noch nicht funktionieren,
schalten Sie die Konsole aus und unterbrechen Sie die Verbindung
zwischen dem SPEEDSTER®PURE und der Konsole. Stellen Sie die
Verbindung wieder her und schalten Sie die Konsole wieder ein.
5.2 Das Fahrzeug zieht in eine bestimmte Richtung
Das SPEEDSTER®PURE muss neu kalibriert werden. Schalten Sie
die Konsole aus und wieder an. Bitte berühren Sie weder Lenkrad
noch Pedale beim Einschalten der Konsole.
5.3 Das Fahrzeug reagiert zu empfindlich/zu spät
Rufen Sie das Optionsmenü des Spieles auf und justieren Sie dort
die Empfindlichkeit der Lenkung. Probieren Sie eine Feinabstimmung
wie im Abschnitt TUNING beschrieben. Anm.: Nach dem Aus-
schalten der Konsole ist wieder die Standardeinstellung aktiviert.
5.4 Ich kann den digitalen Vibrationsmodus nicht aktivieren
Moderne Spiele aktivieren automatisch den analogen Vibrations-
modus sobald die Mini-Joysticks unterstützt werden. Dieser
Modus ist in jedem Fall besser als der digitale Vibrationsmodus.

■7.0 Garantie
7.1 Die ENDOR AG gewährt - gegebenenfalls in Erweiterung
kürzerer nationaler gesetzlicher Gewährleistungsregelungen
- auf das Hardwareprodukt eine 2-jährige Garantie auf
Material und Herstellungsfehler.
7.2 Von der Garantie ausgenommen sind Mängel, die auf
7.2.1 gewerblicher Nutzung des Produkts, und/oder
7.2.2 normalen Verschleiß und/oder
7.2.3 Beschädigung durch Fremdeinwirkung
beruhen und / oder auf
7.2.4 eine unsachgemäße Benutzung oder Behandlung,
und/oder
7.2.5 eine nicht den Bedienungs- und Wartungshinweisen
entsprechenden Gebrauch des Produktes und/oder
7.2.6 auf eine nicht bestimmungsgemäße Installation
und/oder
7.2.7 Nichteinhaltung der örtlichen Sicherheitsstandards
und/oder

7.2.8 die Folgen eines Fremdeingriffs oder auf eine nicht
autorisierte Öffnung des Gerätes einschließlich jeglicher
Veränderungs-, Anpassung- und / oder Adaptionsmaß-
nahmen (auch bei fachmännischer Ausführung) zurück-
zuführen sind.
7.3 Die Garantie gilt ab dem Kaufdatum, an dem der Endkunde
das Produkt erworben hat und beschränkt sich, soweit
damit nicht weitergehende gesetzliche Gewährleistungs-
ansprüche auf Grund einer unterschiedlichen nationalen
Gesetzeslage eingeschränkt werden, ausschließlich auf die
Rechte nach Abschnitt 7.3.2.
7.3.1 Voraussetzung der Garantieleistung ist die frachtfreie
Einsendung des fehlerhaften Produktes innerhalb der
Garantiefrist zusammen mit dem Originalkaufbeleg, der
das Kaufdatum sowie den Firmenstempel oder den
Firmenaufdruck des erstverkaufenden Händlers enthalten
muss.
7.3.2 Die Garantie erstreckt sich nach Wahl der ENDOR AG
entweder auf eine kostenlose Reparatur oder den
Austausch von Teilen des Gerätes oder den Austausch
des Gerätes insgesamt.
7.3.3 Für nicht von der Garantie umfasste bzw. nach
Abschnitt 7.2.1 – 7.2.8 von der Garantieleistung aus-
geschlossenen Mängel sind die Reparaturmöglichkeiten
über den lokalen Kundendienst bzw. den örtlichen
Händler zu erfragen.
7.4 Soweit gesetzlich zulässig wird jede weitergehende
Haftung mit Ausnahme wegen Vorsatz oder grober
Fahrlässigkeit, gleich aus welcher Anspruchsgrundlage für
sämtliche unmittelbaren oder mittelbare Schäden und
Folgeschäden ausgeschlossen.
7.4.1 Dies betrifft insbesondere Schäden an anderen Sachen,
Personenschäden, Datenverlusten sowie Vermögens-
schäden wie entgangenem Gewinn sowie Transport-
schäden im Zusammenhang von Rücksendungen an die
ENDOR AG.
7.4.2 Soweit in einigen Ländern oder Landesteilen Haftungs-
beschränkungen gem. Abschnitt 7.4 und 7.4.1 gesetz-
lich nicht zulässig oder wirksam sind, sollen die
Einschränkungen jedenfalls soweit gelten, als überhaupt
Haftungsausschlüsse nach der jeweiligen nationalen
Gesetzes- oder Rechtslage vereinbart werden können.
7.5 Bitte füllen Sie die beigelegte, frankierte Kunden-
registrierungskarte aus, und schicken Sie diese an uns
zurück.
