1. Product Introduction
SATA 2x HDD RAID to USB 3.0 5.0G interface.

2. Operation
The Hard Disk Installation: Sway lock to open , pull the doorknob and insert
half of the hard disk into the dock slot. Close the door and the hard disk will slide into
the slot. Installation is complete.
Unlock the door Pull the front door
Insert HDD Close the door
Note: → Unlocked
→ Locked

1. Set Normal / RAID0 / RAID1 / BIG Mode
Turn on the power, switch the button on the back to the desired Mode and press
the RESET button. After a few seconds the computer will automatically recognie
the USB device, Power LED indicate blue light when detect HDD.
2. Rebuild Mode (RAID 1 only)
If there is a damaged HDD or the HDD needs replacement, the device will
automatically carry out the rebuild operation.
When the HDD is damaged the Power LED turn off and the HDD LED is constant
blue.
After replacing the damaged HDD the rebuild begins and both HDD LED start
flashing simultaneously. After a successful rebuild both HDD LED turn off.
3. Standby Mode
After 5 minutes of no use, the device goes into Standby Mode.
All LED are turned off during the Standby Mode.
4. Note
When you change the RAID Modes all Data will be lost and you have to initialize
and format the HDD again.

Switch on power and insert two HD in terms of different working pattern

then HDD2 LED start flashing blue.

HDD LED shows no light
During Data transmission: The
HDD1 LED is flashing blue till the
HDD is full, then HDD 2 LED is start
flashing. The Data transmission
completes when LED shows no light
After power on and insertion of one or two HD the following LED states appear after a
HD failure.
(In this example HDD1 is normal and HDD2 is damaged, otherwise vice versa)
PATTERN

Power 1 is constant blue and HDD1
is flashing blue, Power 2 LED is off
and HDD2 LED is constant blue.
Selfchecking completes when the

RAID1
Under the Data transmission
condition: The HDD1 LED flashing
with blue light and the HDD2 LED is
constant blue. The Data

HDD2 LED stay blue
JBOD Under the Data transmission
condition: The HDD1 LED flashing
with blue light and the HDD2 LED is
constant blue. The Data
transmission completes when
HDD1 LED shows no light and the
HDD2 LED stay blue
BIG
No transmission possible

Attention:
If you simultaneously use two HDD, and the HDD damaged under RAID0,
JBOD, and BIG pattern, the data on the HDD will be lost. Under the RAID1 pattern,
you may consider to take out the damaged HDD and replace formatted HDD instead.
2.1 USB Interface
2.1.1 JBOD Modus
Insert the two disks in the HDD1 and HDD2 rack and connect the device with the
USB & Power cable.
Turn on the power, switch the Mode to JBOD and press the Reset button for a few
seconds, the computer will automatically recognize the USB device and two new
drives should appear. If no new drive shows up, you have to initialize and/or format
the disks in the Disk Management (Attention, after formatting all data will be erased)
Right-click on “My Computer” click “Manage”, the Computer Management should
appear where you choose Disk Management. You should find two new disks flagged
as “Unknown” and/or “Unallocated”.
Right-click the “Unknown” disk and select “Initialize Disk”, now you can format the
disk by right-clicking the “Unallocated” Disk and choose “New Partition” or “Add New
Volume”.

2.1.2 BIG Modus
Insert the two disks in the HDD1 and HDD2 rack and connect the device with the
USB & Power cable.
Turn on the power, switch the Mode to BIG and press the Reset button for a few
seconds, the computer will automatically recognize the USB device.
Right-click on “My Computer” click “Manage”, the Computer Management should
appear where you choose Disk Management. You should find the new disks flagged
as “Unknown” and “Unallocated”.
Right-click the “Unknown” disk and select “Initialize Disk”, now you can format the
disk by right-clicking the “Unallocated” Disk and choose “New Partition” or “Add New
Volume”.

2.1.3 RAID0
Insert the two disks in the HDD1 and HDD2 rack and connect the device with the
USB & Power cable.
Turn on the power, switch the Mode to RAID0 and press the Reset button for a few
seconds, the computer will automatically recognize the USB device.
Right-click on “My Computer” click “Manage”, the Computer Management should
appear where you choose Disk Management. You should find the new disks flagged
as “Unknown” and “Unallocated”.

2.1.4 RAID1

seconds, the computer will automatically recognize the USB device.

flagged as “Unknown” and “Unallocated”.

disk by right-clicking the “Unallocated” Disk and choose “New Partition” or “Add New
