Gebruiksaan ijzing kernboormachine.
Gebruikte symbolen, afkortingen en
begrippen.
De in deze gebruiksaan ijzing en eventueel op
het elektrische gereedschap gebruikte symbolen
dienen ertoe, u aandacht te vestigen op moge-
lijke gevaren tijdens de erkzaamheden met dit
elektrische gereedschap.
Zorg ervoor dat u de betekenis van de symbolen
en aan ijzingen begrijpt en dienovereenkomstig
handelt, zodat u het elektrische gereedschap
efficiënter en veiliger kunt gebruiken.
De aarschu ingen, aan ijzingen en symbolen
zijn geen vervanging van de maatregelen volgens
de voorschriften ter voorkoming van ongeval-
len.

Voor u veiligheid.
Gebruik dit elektrische gereedschap niet
voordat u deze gebruiksaan ijzing en de
meegeleverde algemene veiligheidsvoorschrif-
ten (documentnummer 3 41 30 054 06 1) gron-
dig hebt gelezen en volledig hebt begrepen,
inclusief de afbeeldingen, specificaties, veilig-
heidsregels en de met GEVAAR, WAARSCHU-
WING en VOORZICHTIG aangeduide
aan ijzingen.
Neem ook de geldende nationale arbeidsveilig-
heidsregels in acht.
Het niet in acht nemen van de veiligheidsvoor-
schriften in de genoemde documentatie kan tot
een elektrische schok, brand en/of ernstig letsel
leiden.
Be aar deze gebruiksaan ijzing en de meegele-
verde algemene veiligheidsvoorschriften voor
later gebruik. Overhandig de gebruiksaan ijzing
en de veiligheidsvoorschriften als u het elektri-
sche gereedschap afgeeft of verkoopt.

Bijzondere veiligheidsvoorschriften.
Bevestig het elektrische gereedschap met de mee-
geleverde spanriem bij gevaar voor vallen, in het
bijzonder bij erkzaamheden op hoogte, aan ver-
ticale bou elementen of boven het hoofd. De
magnetische bevestigingskracht blijft niet in
stand als de stroom uitvalt of als de stekker uit
het stopcontact ordt getrokken.
Gebruik het koelmiddelreservoir niet tijdens erk-
zaamheden aan verticale bou elementen of
erkzaamheden boven het hoofd. Gebruik in deze
gevallen een koelmiddelspray. Door vloeistoffen
die in het elektrische gereedschap binnendrin-
gen ontstaat het gevaar van een elektrische
schok.
Voorkom aanraking met de boorkern, die automa-
tisch door de centreerstift ordt uitgestoten bij
het afsluiten van de boring. Het contact met de
hete of naar beneden vallende kern kan tot ver-
ondingen leiden.
Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap alleen als
het aangesloten is op een volgens de voorschriften
geaard stopcontact. Gebruik alleen onbescha-
digde aansluitkabels en geaarde verlengkabels
die regelmatig orden nagezien. Een niet door-
gaande aardleiding kan tot een elektrische schok
leiden.
Er mogen geen plaatjes of symbolen op het elek-
trische gereedschap orden geschroefd of geniet.
Een beschadigde isolatie biedt geen bescherming
tegen een elektrische schok. Gebruik stickers.
Gebruik veiligheidsuitrusting. Gebruik, afhankelijk
van de toepassing, een gezichtsbescherming of
veiligheidsbril. Gebruik een gehoorbescherming.
De veiligheidsbril moet geschikt zijn om bij ver-
schillende erkzaamheden eggeslingerde
deeltjes af te eren. Een langdurig hoge geluids-
belasting kan tot gehoorverlies leiden.
Gebruik geen toebehoren dat niet speciaal door de
fabrikant van het elektrische gereedschap is ont-
ikkeld of vrijgegeven. Een veilig gebruik is niet
alleen gegeven door het feit dat een toebehoren
op u elektrische gereedschap past.
Reinig de ventilatieopeningen van het elektrische
gereedschap regelmatig met een niet-metalen
gereedschap. De motorventilator zuigt stof in
het machinehuis. Dit kan bij overmatige
ophoping van metaalstof elektrische gevaren
veroorzaken.
Werk altijd met een gemonteerde bescherming
tegen aanraking en spanen. Hete en scherpe spa-
nen kunnen ver ondingen veroorzaken.
De motor mag met aangebracht inzetgereedschap
niet zelfstandig omlaag be egen. Stel indien
nodig de zeskantmoer (790) bij.
Trek voor het instellen de stekker uit het stop-
contact en ver ijder het deksel (950). Let op de
gevoelige elektronica onder het deksel.

In één oogopslag.
De hierna gebruikte nummering van de
bedieningselementen heeft betrekking
op de afbeeldingen aan het begin van deze
gebruiksaan ijzing.

ondergrond bevestigen.
7 Bescherming tegen aanraking en spanen
Voorkomt onbedoeld aanraken van rond-
draaiende delen.
Haak voor vergrendeling (7a).
8 Uitsparing voor spanriem
Kernboormachine met een spanriem beves-
tigen.
9 Koelmiddelaansluiting
Door middel van koelmiddelslang met koel-
middelreservoir verbinden.

Het is mogelijk dat er bij het elektrische gereed-
schap slechts een deel van het in deze gebruiks-
aan ijzing beschreven en afgebeelde
toebehoren ordt meegeleverd.
Bestemming van het elektrische
gereedschap.
Dit elektrische gereedschap is bestemd als kern-
boormachine voor het boren van materialen
met een magnetiseerbaar oppervlak met kern-
boren en ge one boren, voor het ruimen en
verzinken alsmede voor het snijden van schroef-
draad in een tegen eersinvloeden beschermde
omgeving, met de door FEIN goedgekeurde
inzetgereedschappen en toebehoren, bij profes-
sioneel gebruik.
Het elektrische gereedschap kan horizontaal,
verticaal en omgekeerd orden gebruikt.
Aan ijzingen voor de
ingebruikneming.
Let erop dat het opstellingsoppervlak voor de
magneetvoet vlak, schoon en roestvrij is. Ver-
ijder lak- en plamuurlagen.
Bij erkzaamheden aan niet-magnetiseerbare
materialen moeten geschikte, als toebehoren
verkrijgbare FEIN-bevestigingsvoorzieningen
zoals een aanzuigplaat, een vacuümplaat of een
pijpboorvoorziening orden gebruikt.
Bij erkzaamheden aan staalmateriaal met een
materiaaldikte van minder dan 12 mm moet ter
aarborging van de magnetische vasthoudkracht
het erkstuk met een extra staalplaat orden
versterkt.
Bescherming tegen aanraking en spanen
monteren (Afbeelding 7).
De bescherming tegen aanraking en spanen
moet tijdens alle erkzaamheden gemon-
teerd zijn.
➤Breng de bescherming tegen aanraking
en spanen (7) aan.
➤Als u de verzamelde spanen ilt ver ij-
deren, klapt u de bescherming tegen aanra-
king en spanen (7) aan.
➤Vergrendel voor het begin van de erk-
zaamheden de bescherming tegen aanra-
ken en spanen (7) met de haak (7a).
Koelmiddelreservoir monteren.
➤Plaats het gevulde koelmiddelreser-
voir (12h) in de daarvoor voorziene hou-
der op het huis van de boorstandaard.
Als koelmiddel moet pompbaar koelsmeermid-
del orden gebruikt.
➤Sluit de koelmiddelslang (12j) aan.
Gebruiksvoorschriften.
Instellingen.
Slagbereik instellen (Afbeelding 1).
Voor het eenvoudig en snel isselen van
gereedschap kan het slagbereik traploos orden
ingesteld.
➤Draai de hendel (1) los en stel het
ge enste slagbereik in.
➤Draai voor het begin van de erkzaam-
heden de hendel (1) eer vast.
Inzetgereedschap isselen.
Kernboor (Afbeelding 10).
➤Du de centreerstift (12d) door de
kernboor.
➤Draai de Quick IN-spanhuls (10) van de
gereedschapopname naar links en zet de
kernboor met de centreerstift in.

➤Laat de Quick IN-spanhuls (10) los en
draai de kernboor in de gereedschapop-
name tot de vergrendeling vastklikt.
Volle en kernboor met M 18x6/P 1,5
(Afbeelding 11).
➤Schroef de adapter (11) op de tand-
kransboorhouder.
➤Draai de Quick IN-spanhuls (10) van de
gereedschapopname naar links en zet de
adapter (11) net als de kernboor in.
De adapter kan ook voor geschikte kernboren
orden gebruikt.
Algemene bedieningsvoorschriften.
In bedrijf stellen.
Controleer eerst de netaansluitkabel en de
netstekker op beschadigingen.
Maakt het elektrische gereedschap bij
gevaar voor vallen vast met de span-
riem (12g).
➤Schakel de magneetschakelaar (5) in,
zodat de magneet hecht en deze de kern-
boormachine vasthoudt.
Motor starten en stoppen:
Starten:
➤Motorschakelaar (2) inschakelen.
Stoppen:
➤Motorschakelaar (2) uitschakelen.
Buiten bedrijf stellen:
➤Schakel met de magneetschakelaar (5)
de magneet uit.
Opmerkingen:
– De magneetvoet (6) ordt door een stroom-
sensor be aakt. Als de magneetvoet defect is,
loopt de motor niet.
– Bij overbelasting ordt de motor automatisch
uitgeschakeld. Deze kan met de motorschake-
laar (2) opnieu orden gestart.
– Als de stroomtoevoer ordt onderbroken
ter ijl de motor loopt, voorkomt een veilig-
heidsschakeling het automatisch opnieu
starten van de motor. De motor moet met de
motorschakelaar (2) opnieu orden gestart.
Aan ijzingen voor het kernboren.
➤Sla met een centerpunt een putje op de
gemarkeerde boorplaats.
➤Plaats de boor met de centreerstift (12d)
op het putje.
➤Boor de plaats voorzichtig aan tot het
snijvlak een ronde vorm heeft.
Stop de boormotor tijdens het boren niet.
Trek de kernboor alleen ter ijl de motor
loopt uit het boorgat.
➤Stop de boormotor en draai de kern-
boor tegen de ijzers van de klok in voor-
zichtig naar buiten, in het geval dat de
kernboor in het materiaal blijft steken.
Ver ijder na elke boorbe erking de spa-
nen en de uitgeboorde kern.
Raak de spanen niet met u blote hand
aan. Gebruik altijd een spanenhaak.
Beschadig bij het vervangen van de boor de
snijkanten niet.
➤Ver ijder bij het kernboren van gelaagd
materiaal na elke doorboorde laag de kern
en de spanen.
Onderhoud en klantenservice.
Regelmatige reiniging.
Voer de volgende stappen eenmaal per eek uit,
of vaker als u het gereedschap veel gebruikt:
➤Reinig de ventilatieopeningen.
Gebruik niet-metalen gereedschap voor het
reinigen van de ventilatieopeningen.
➤Blaas regelmatig het in endige van het
elektrische gereedschap van buiten door
de ventilatieopeningen met droge per-
slucht uit.
De volgende delen kunt u indien nodig zelf vervan-
gen:
– Inzetgereedschappen
– Koelmiddelreservoir (12h)
– Koelmiddelslang (12j)
Voor reparatie erkzaamheden adviseren ij de
FEIN-klantenservice, de bij FEIN aangesloten
erkplaatsen en de FEIN-vertegen oordigin-
gen.

Voor reparatie erkzaamheden door een vak-
man voor elektriciteit stellen ij op aanvraag
documentatie ter beschikbaar.
Reparatie erkzaamheden mogen alleen
orden uitgevoerd door een vakman voor
elektriciteit volgend de geldende voor-
schriften.
Geef deze gebruiksaan ijzing altijd mee
aan degene die de reparatie erkzaamhe-
den uitvoert.
Als de aansluitkabel van het elektrische
gereedschap beschadigd is, moet deze
orden vervangen door een speciaal daarvoor
bedoelde aansluitkabel, die verkrijgbaar is bij de
FEIN-klantenservice.
Toebehoren.
Gebruik alleen door FEIN goedgekeurd toebe-
horen.
Wettelijke garantie en
fabrieksgarantie.
De ettelijke garantie op het product geldt
overeenkomstig de ettelijke regelingen in het
land aar het product ordt verkocht.
Bovendien biedt FEIN garantie overeenkomstig
de FEIN-fabrieksgarantieverklaring. Raadpleeg
voor meer informatie hierover u vakhandel,
de FEIN-vertegen oordiging in u land of de
FEIN-klantenservice.

do not serve as a substitute for the measures to
be taken according to the regulations for the

Do not use this po er tool before you
have thoroughly read and completely
understood this Instruction Manual and the
enclosed “General Safety Instructions” (docu-
ment number 3 41 30 054 06 1), including the
figures, specifications, safety regulations and the
signs indicating DANGER, WARNING and
CAUTION.
Please also observe the relevant national indus-
trial safety regulations (e.g. in Germany:
BGV A3).
Non-observance of the safety instructions in the
said documentation can lead to an electric shock,
burns and/or severe injuries.
This Instruction Manual and the enclosed “Gen-
eral Safety Instructions” should be kept for later
use and enclosed ith the po er tool, should it
be passed on or sold.
Special safety instructions.
Secure the po er tool ith the clamping strap
supplied if there is danger of it falling, especially
for ork carried out at a height, on vertical con-
struction elements or above the head. If there is a

Avoid touching the drilled core that is automati-
cally ejected by the centering pin hen the ork-
ing procedure is finished. Contact ith the core
hen it is hot, or if it falls, can cause personal
injuries.
Operate the po er tool only from earthing contact
sockets that comply ith the specifications. Do
not use any connection cables that are damaged;
use extension cables ith an earthing contact that
are checked at regular intervals. A earth conduc-
tor ithout continuity can cause an electric
shock.
Do not rivet or scre any name-plates or signs
onto the po er tool. If the insulation is damaged,
protection against an electric shock ill be inef-
fective. Adhesive labels are recommended.
Wear personal protective equipment. Depending
on the application, use a face shield, safety gog-
gles or safety glasses. Wear ear protection. The
safety glasses must be capable of protecting
against flying particles generated by the various
different operations. Prolonged exposure to
high intensity noise may cause loss of hearing.
Do not use accessories hich are not specifically
designed and recommended by the po er tool
manufacturer. Safe operation is not ensured
merely because an accessory fits your po er
tool.
Clean the ventilation openings on the po er tool at
regular intervals using non-metal tools. The
blo er of the motor dra s dust into the hous-
ing. An excessive accumulation of metallic dust
can cause an electrical hazard.
The guard protecting against chippings and acci-
dental contact must al ays be mounted during
operation. Hot, sharp chippings can cause per-
sonal injuries.
The motor must not be able to descend on its o n
accord hile the tool is inserted. If necessary,
tighten the hexagon nuts (790).
Before adjusting, pull the plug from the socket
and remove the cover (950). Please pay special
attention to the sensitive electronics underneath
the cover!

Intended use of the po er tool.
This po er tool is intended for commercial use
as a core drill for drilling materials ith a mag-
netizable surface using core drill bits or t ist
drill bits, and for reaming, countersinking and
tapping in a eather-protected environment
using the application tools and accessories rec-
ommended by FEIN.
The po er tool can be used horizontally, verti-
cally or overhead.
Instructions for putting into
operation.
Please make sure that the contacting surface for
the magnetic foot is level, clean and rust-free.
Remove any varnish or primer.
When orking on materials that are not mag-
netizable, suitable fixation devices, obtainable as
accessories from FEIN, e. g. suction plate, vac-
uum plate or pipe-drilling device must be used.
When ork on steel materials ith a material
thickness of less than 12 mm, the orkpiece must
be reinforced ith an additional steel plate in order
to guarantee the magnetic holding po er.
Mounting the guard protecting against
chippings and accidental contact (Figure 7).
The guard protecting against chippings and
accidental contact must al ays be mounted
during operation.
➤Mount the guard protecting against chip-
pings and accidental contact (7).
➤To remove any accumulated chippings,
open the guard protecting against chip-
pings and accidental contact (7).
➤Before commencing operation, fasten
the guard protecting against chippings and
accidental contact (7) ith the hook (7a).
Mounting the coolant container.
➤Place the filled coolant container (12h)
into the holder provided on the motor
housing.
Only use cooling lubricant that is capable of
being pumped.
➤Connect the coolant tube (12j).
Operating instructions.
Adjustments.
Set the stroke range (Figure 1).
For changing the tool easily and fast, the setting
of the stroke range is infinitely variable.
➤Loosen the lever (1) and set to the
required stroke range.
➤Before commencing operation, tighten
the lever (1) firmly again.
Changing the tool.
Core bit (Figure 10).
➤Push the centering pin (12d) through the
core bit.
➤Turn the Quick IN clamping collar (10)
of the tool holder anti-clock ise and insert
the core bit ith the centering pin.
➤Let go of the Quick IN clamping col-
lar (10) and turn the core bit in the tool
holder until the catch notches.
T ist drill and core drill bits ith M 18x6/P 1.5
(Figure 11).
➤Scre the adapter (11) onto the geared
drill chuck.
➤Turn the Quick IN clamping collar (10)
of the tool holder anti-clock ise and insert
the adapter (11) in the same ay as the
core bit.
The adapter can also be used for suitable core
bits.
General operating instructions.
Putting into operation.
First check that the mains supply lead and
mains plug are not damaged.
Secure the po er tool ith the clamping
strap (12g) if there is danger of it falling.

Starting and stopping the motor:
Starting:

Instructions:
– The magnetic foot (6) is monitored by a cur-
rent sensor. If the magnetic foot is defective
the motor ill not start.
– The motor automatically s itches off in the
case of overload. It can be restarted ith
motor s itch (2).
– If the current supply is interrupted hile the
motor is running, a protection circuit prevents the
motor from restarting automatically. The motor
has to be restarted ith motor s itch (2).
Working instructions for core drilling.
➤Punch-mark the drilling place marked.
➤Position the drill bit ith the centering
pin (12d) on the punch-mark.
➤Carefully start boring until a circular cut
is formed.
Do not stop the drill motor during the
drilling procedure.
Only remove the core bit from of the drill-
ing hole hile the motor is running.
➤If the core bit should remain stuck in the
material, stop the drill motor and carefully
turn the core bit out anti-clock ise.
Remove the chippings and the bored core
after each drilling process.
Do not touch the chippings ith your bare
hand. Al ays use a chip hook.
Do not damage the cutters hen changing
the bit.
➤When core drilling layered material,
remove the core and the chippings after
drilling each layer.
Repair and customer service.
Regular cleaning.
Carry out the follo ing steps once a eek, or
more often if used frequently:
➤Clean the cooling air vents.
Use non-metallic tools to clean the air vents.
➤Blo out the interior of the po er tool
at regular intervals from outside through
the air vents ith dry, compressed air.
If required, you can change the follo ing parts
yourself:
– Application tools
– Coolant container (12h)
– Coolant tube (12j)
For repairs, e recommend our FEIN customer
service centre, the FEIN authorised service cen-
tres and FEIN agencies.
When carrying out your o n repairs by quali-
fied electricians e supply the repair documen-
tation upon request.
Repairs may only be carried out by quali-
fied electricians in conformity ith the
valid regulations.
Please al ays hand this Instruction Manual
to the those carrying out the repair.
If the supply cord of this po er tool is
damaged it must be replaced by a specially
prepared cord available through the FEIN cus-
tomer service centre.

Spezielle Sicherheitshin eise.
Sichern Sie das Elektro erkzeug bei Absturzge-
fahr mit dem mitgelieferten Spanngurt, insbeson-
dere bei Arbeiten in der Höhe, an senkrechten
Bauelementen oder Überkopf. Bei Stromausfall
oder Ziehen des Netzsteckers bleibt die Mag-
nethaltekraft nicht erhalten.
Führen Sie Arbeiten an senkrechten Bauelementen
oder Überkopf ohne Ver endung des Kühlmittel-
behälters durch. Ver enden Sie hier ein Kühlmit-
telspray. Durch in das Elektro erkzeug
eindringende Flüssigkeiten entsteht die Gefahr
eines elektrischen Schlages.
Vermeiden Sie Berührung mit dem beim Abschluss
des Arbeitsvorgangs automatisch vom Zentrier-
stift ausgestoßenen Bohrkern. Der Kontakt mit
dem heißen oder herabfallenden Kern kann zu
Verletzungen führen.
Betreiben Sie das Elektro erkzeug nur an vor-
schriftsgemäßen Schutzkontaktsteckdosen. Ver-
enden Sie nur unbeschädigte
Anschlussleitungen und regelmäßig geprüfte Ver-
längerungsleitungen mit Schutzkontakt. Ein nicht
durchgängiger Schutzleiter kann zu einem elek-
trischen Schlag führen.
Es ist verboten Schilder und Zeichen auf das Elek-
tro erkzeug zu schrauben oder zu nieten. Eine
beschädigte Isolierung bietet keinen Schutz
gegen elektrischen Schlag. Ver enden Sie Kle-
beschilder.
Benutzen Sie Schutzausrüstung. Benutzen Sie je
nach An endung Gesichtschutz oder Schutzbrille.
Benutzen Sie einen Gehörschutz. Die Schutzbrille
muss sich eignen, die bei unterschiedlichen
Arbeiten eggeschleuderten Partikel abzu eh-
ren. Eine dauerhaft hohe Lärmbelastung kann zu
Gehörverlust führen.
Ver enden Sie kein Zubehör, das nicht speziell
vom Elektro erkzeughersteller ent ickelt oder
freigegeben urde. Sicherer Betrieb ist nicht
alleine dadurch gegeben, dass ein Zubehör auf
Ihr Elektro erkzeug passt.
Reinigen Sie regelmäßig die Lüftungsöffnungen
des Elektro erkzeugs mit nichtmetallischen
Werkzeugen. Das Motorgebläse zieht Staub in
das Gehäuse. Dies kann bei übermäßiger
Ansammlung von Metallstaub elektrische
Gefährdungen verursachen.
Arbeiten Sie immer mit montiertem Berühr- und
Späneschutz. Heiße, scharfe Späne können Ver-
letzungen verursachen.
Der Motor darf sich mit eingesetztem Werkzeug
nicht selbsttätig nach unten be egen. Stellen Sie
ggf. die Sechskantmutter (790) nach.
Ziehen Sie vor dem Einstellen den Netzstecker
aus der Netzsteckdose und entfernen Sie den
Deckel (950). Achten Sie auf die empfindliche
Elektronik unter dem Deckel!
