5 Inbetriebnahme
5.1 Mit Netzadapter benutzen
Netzadapter [1-9] in Ein
gang [1-2] und Steckdose
stecken.
WICHTIG:
Der Netzadapter dient dazu das Radio
mit der Steckdose zu verbinden. Der
Netzadapter des Radios muss während
des Gebrauchs frei zugänglich bleiben,
damit das Radio ausgeschaltet werden
kann. Der Netzadapter sollte nach Ge
brauch aus der Steckdose entfernt wer
den.
5.2 Mit externem Festool Akkupack
benutzen [2A] + [2B]
Das Gerät kann mit jedem Festool Ak
kupack der Baureihe BP, BPC und BPS
betrieben werden.
VORSICHT setzen Sie den Akkupack im
mer vollständig ein. Wenn nicht, kann
der Akkupack aus der Akkuschnittstelle
herausfallen und Sie oder umstehende
Personen verletzen.
VORSICHT Setzen Sie den Akkupack
nicht mit Gewalt ein. Wenn der Akku
pack nicht einfach eingeschoben wer
den kann und einrastet, ist er nicht kor
rekt aufgesetzt.
VORSICHT Für eine optimale Leistung
empfehlen wir einen 18V Li-Ion Akku
pack zu verwenden.
5.3 Ein-/Ausschalten
► Zum Einschalten: Ein/Aus-Tas
te [1-5] drücken.
Das Radio ist betriebsbereit.
► Zum Ausschalten: Ein/Aus-Tas
te [1-5] drücken und halten (~1s).
5.4 Lautstärke einstellen
Lautstärkeregelung [a] und [k]
drücken, um die gewünschte Lautstär
ke einzustellen.
Für eine optimale Musikqualität
in Verbindung mit einem exter
nen Abspielgerät, Lautstärke am
externen Abspielgerät auf maxi
mal 70% einstellen.
5.5 Akkupack-Status prüfen
Um den aktuellen Akkupack-Status an
zuzeigen, Ein/Aus-Taste [1-5] drücken,
um das Radio einzuschalten. Die Akku
pack-Statusanzeige [e] zeigt den aktu
ellen Akkupack-Status (nur mit Li-Ion
Akkupack).

5.6 Radio verwenden - FM (UKW)
► Antenne [1-3] ausrichten.
►Source/Quelle [j] drücken
bis FM-Modus ausgewählt ist.
Automatische Sendersuche FM (UKW)
► Sendersuchlauf [i], [h] drücken und
halten (~1s), um die automatische
Sendersuche zu starten.
Die Sendersuche wird automatisch be
endet, wenn ein Sender mit ausreichen
der Signalstärke gefunden wurde.

Das Display zeigt die Frequenz an.
Wenn die Signalstärke stark genug ist
und RDS-Informationen verfügbar sind,
zeigt das Display den Sendername, den
Radio-Text und die Uhrzeit an.
Andere Sender finden
► Sendersuchlauf [i], [h] wie oben be
schrieben drücken.
Am Ende des Frequenzbandes springt
der Suchlauf zum gegenüberliegenden
Anfang des Frequenzbandes.
Bei schlechtem Empfang, Anten
ne neu ausrichten.
Manuelle Sendersuche - FM (UKW)
► Sendersuchlauf [i], [h] mehrmals
bis zum Erreichen der gewünschten
Frequenz drücken.
Die Frequenzschritte betragen 0,1 MHz.
5.7 Senderspeicher verwenden
Beliebte Radiosender können im Sen
derspeicher gespeichert werden. Es
stehen vier Senderspeicher zur Verfü
gung.
► Senderspeicher [b], [c], [f] oder [g]
drücken und halten (~1s), bis auf
dem Display <SET MEMO> angezeigt
wird.
Unter dem gewählten Senderspeicher
wird der Sender gespeichert. Das Dis
play zeigt die Senderspeicher-Nummer
P1 bis P4.
Für weitere Senderspeicher diesen
Schritt wiederholen. Auf die gleiche
Weise können die Senderspeicher mit
einem neuen Sender überschrieben
werden.
Senderspeicher aufrufen
► Den gewünschten Senderspei
cher [b], [c], [f] oder [g] drücken,
um zum gespeicherten Sender zu
gelangen.
5.8 Uhrzeit - Radio Data System
Das Radio synchronisiert die Uhrzeit
und zeigt diese im Display [d] an, wenn
ein Sender ausgewählt ist, der RDS-In
formationen mit CT-Signalen zur Verfü
gung stellt. Bei ausreichender Signal
stärke, wird die Uhrzeit innerhalb von
ein bis zwei Minuten aktualisiert. Die
Radio-Uhrzeit ist die nächsten 24 Stun
den aktuell, wenn das Radio mit RDS-
CT synchronisiert wird.
Wenn kein RDS-Signal empfan
gen wird, wird die Uhrzeit nicht
angezeigt.
5.9 Musik hören via Bluetooth®
Streaming
Das SysRock und das Bluetooth® Gerät
müssen miteinander gekoppelt werden,
um Musik über das Bluetooth® Gerät
wiederzugeben. Durch diese “Kopp
lung” können sich zwei Geräte gegen
seitig erkennen.
Erste Verbindung des Bluetooth® Ge
rätes
► Source/Quelle [j] drücken, um den
Bluetooth® Modus auszuwählen.
Das Bluetooth® Symbol blinkt
auf dem Display und zeigt an, dass das
SysRock erkannt werden kann.
► Bluetooth® auf dem Bluetooth® Ge
rät aktivieren, wie es in der Be
triebsanleitung des Bluetooth® Ge
rätes erklärt ist.
► Bluetooth® Geräteliste anzeigen und
das Gerät <SysRock> auswählen.
Bei einigen Mobiltelefonen, die mit
älteren Versionen als BT2.1

Bluetooth® standard ausgestattet
sind, muss ein Passwort ("0000")
eingegeben werden.
Wenn die Bluetooth® Verbin
dung aktiv ist, wird das Bluetooth®
Symbol mit einem Haken daneben an
gezeigt. Jegliche Musik kann nun auf
dem Bluetooth® Gerät ausgewählt und
wiedergegeben werden.
HINWEIS:
– Wenn zwei Bluetooth® Geräte erst
malig gekoppelt werden sollen und
gleichzeitig die Verbindung zum
SysRock suchen, wird auf beiden
Geräten das SysRock zur Verbin
dung angezeigt. Nach der Verbin
dung mit einem Gerät wird das
SysRock nicht mehr in der Verbin
dungsliste des anderen Gerätes an
gezeigt.
– Wenn sich das Bluetooth® Gerät au
ßerhalb der Reichweite befindet,
wird die Verbindung zum SysRock
zeitweise unterbrochen. Das
SysRock wird die Verbindung auto
matisch aktivieren, sobald das
Bluetooth® Gerät wieder in Reich
weite ist. In dem Zeitraum der Un
terbrechung kann kein anderes
Bluetooth® Gerät mit dem SysRock
gekoppelt werden.
– Wenn <SysRock> in der Geräteliste
des Bluetooth® Gerätes erscheint,
aber eine Verbindung nicht möglich
ist: Gerät von der Liste löschen und
die Verbindung des Bluetooth® Ge
rätes mit dem SysRock erneut, wie
oben beschrieben, ausführen.
– Die wirksame Reichweite zwischen
dem SysRock und dem Bluetooth®
Gerät beträgt circa 10 Meter (30
Fuß). Jegliches Hindernis zwischen
SysRock und Bluetooth® Gerät kann
die Reichweite vermindern.
– Die Bluetooth® Konnektivitätsleis
tung kann je nach angeschlossenem
Bluetooth® Gerät variieren. Bitte be
achten Sie die Bluetooth® Funktio
nen des zu koppelnden Gerätes vor
dem Anschluss an das SysRock.
Möglicherweise werden nicht alle
Funktionen auf einigen gekoppelten
Bluetooth® Geräten unterstützt.
Audio-Dateien im Bluetooth® Modus
wiedergeben
Wenn das SysRock erfolgreich mit dem
gewählten Bluetooth® Gerät gekoppelt
ist, kann die Musik mit den Bedienfunk
tionen des gekoppelten Bluetooth® Ge
rätes wiedergegeben werden.
► Sobald die Wiedergabe startet, ge
wünschte Lautstärke an der Laut
stärkeregelung [a], [k] am SysRock
oder an dem Bluetooth® Gerät ein
stellen.
► Wiedergabe/Pause und Titelwechsel
an den Bedienelementen des ge
koppelten Bluetooth® Gerätes aus
wählen. Oder mit den Tasten am
SysRock: Wiedergabe/Pause [b],
nächster Titel [h], vorheriger Ti
tel [i].
Die aktuell wiedergegebene Titelinfor
mation (z.B. Titelname/ Interpret) wird
als durchlaufender Text unten auf dem
Display angezeigt.
HINWEIS:
– Nicht alle Anwendungen und Geräte
reagieren auf diese Steuerelemen
te.
– Einige Mobiltelefone trennen sich
vorübergehend vom SysRock, wenn
Anrufe ein- oder ausgehen. Einige

Mobilfelefone schalten auf stumm,
wenn Kurzmitteilungen, E-Mails
oder ähnliches eingehen. Ein sol
ches Verhalten ist eine Funktion des
gekoppelten Bluetooth® Gerätes
und zeigt keine Störung des Sys
Rocks an.
Von bereits gekoppelten Geräten
wiedergeben
Dieses SysRock kann bis zu acht gekop
pelte Geräte speichern. Wenn der Spei
cher diese Anzahl übersteigt, wird das
früheste Gerät überschrieben. Wenn
das Bluetooth® Gerät bereits mit dem
SysRock gekoppelt war, speichert das
SysRock dieses Bluetooth® Gerät und
versucht sich mit dem Gerät, das zuletzt
angeschlossen war zu koppeln. Wenn
das zuletzt gekoppelte Bluetooth® Ge
rät nicht verfügbar ist, versucht sich
das SysRock mit dem vorletzten Gerät
zu koppeln, und so weiter.
Speicher der gekoppelten Bluetooth®
Geräte löschen
► Um den Bluetooth® Geräte-Speicher
im SysRock zu löschen: Speicher
taste 4 [g] drücken und halten (<1s)
bis <BT-RESET> auf dem Display
angezeigt wird. Das SysRock schal
tet automatisch aus, nachdem der
Speicher gelöscht wurde.
Gekoppeltes Bluetooth® Gerät trennen
► Source/Quelle [j] drücken und einen
anderen Modus als Bluetooth® Mo
dus auswählen.
► Alternativ, Koppeln [f] drücken
(~2s), um die Verbindung zu tren
nen.
Wenn das Bluetooth® Gerät im
Bluetooth® Modus getrennt wird, be
ginnt das Bluetooth® Symbol auf dem
Display erneut zu blinken und zeigt an,
dass das SysRock wieder für eine neue
Verbindung verfügbar ist.
Freisprecheinrichtung verwenden
Dieses SysRock kann als
Freisprecheinrichtung für
ein Mobiltelefon verwendet
werden. Wenn Musik über
das SysRock wiedergegeben wird und
am Mobiltelefon ein Anruf eingeht, wird
die Musik automatisch unterbrochen,
damit Sie den Anruf beantworten kön
nen.
► Wenn während der Wiedergabe von
Musik über das SysRock ein Anruf
eingeht, kurz die Anruftaste [c] drü
cken, um den Anruf zu beantworten.
► In Richtung des internen Mikrofo
nes [1-7] sprechen.
Achtung: eine sehr hohe Laut
stärke am SysRock kann die
Soundqualität beeinträchtigen.
► Anruftaste [c] drücken und loslas
sen, um den Anruf zu beenden.
5.10 AUX-Eingang (AUX-IN)
Ein 3,5 mm AUX-Ein
gang [1-4] ist am oberen
Teil des SysRock ange
bracht und ermöglicht die Wiedergabe
eines Audio-Signals von einem externen
Audio-Gerät, wie z.B. einem MP3- oder
CD-Player.
► Am AUX-Eingang [1-4] eine Stereo
oder Mono Audio-Quelle (wie MP3-
oder CD-Player) anschließen.
► Source/Quelle [j] drücken, um den
AUX-Modus zu wählen.

► Lautstärke am MP3- oder CD-
Player (max. 70%) einstellen, um ein
ausreichendes Signal sicherzustel
len, anschließend die Lautstärke am
SysRock für komfortables Hören
anpassen.
Verwenden Sie niemals den AUX-
Eingang im Regen oder unter
feuchten Bedingungen, um zu
verhindern, dass Feuchtigkeit in
das SysRock eindringt. Halten Sie
gerade bei solchen Bedingungen
die Gummiabdeckung auf der
Rückseite fest geschlossen.
5.11 Aufstellmöglichkeiten
Befestigungsbügel [1-1]
Der aufschiebbare Befestigungsbügel
ermöglicht das Aufhängen des Gerätes
an einem Gerüst oder ähnlichem.
Der Befestigungsbügel muss zum
Betrieb mit einem externen
Festool Akkupack abgenommen
werden [2A].
Stativ
An der Stativgewinde-Buchse [2-1]
kann ein Standard-Fotostativgewinde
UNC 1/4"-20 aufgeschraubt werden.

5 Commissioning
5.1 Operating with switching
adapter

The switching adapter is used as the
means of connecting the radio to the
power supply. The switching adapter
used for the radio must remain accessi
ble during normal use in order to dis

5.2 Operating with external Festool
battery pack [2A] + [2B]
The device can operate with any Festool
battery pack from the BP, BPC or BPS
series. When connected to the external
Festool battery pack, the device only
consumes power from this battery
pack.
CAUTION always attach the battery
pack completely. If not, it may acciden
tally fall out of the battery bay, causing
injury to you or someone around you.
CAUTION Do not force attach the bat
tery pack. If the battery pack does not
slide in smoothly and does not engage,
it is not being inserted correctly.
CAUTION For optimal performance, we
recommend connecting to an 18V Li-Ion
battery pack.
5.3 Switching on/off
► To switch the device on: Press
on/off button [1-5].
The radio is ready for operation.
► To switch the device off: Press and
hold on/off button [1-5] (~1s).
5.4 Volume control
Press the volume control [a]
and [k] to adjust the desired volume.
For a better sound quality using
an external device, adjust the vol
ume on the external device to
maximum 70%.
5.5 Checking battery status
To check the current battery level,
press the power button [1-5] to switch
on the radio. The battery status indica
tor [e] will show the current battery lev
el (only with Li-Ion battery pack).

5.6 Using the radio – FM (VHF)
► Align antenna [1-3].
►Press Source [j] until FM
mode has been selected.
Automatic station search: FM (VHF)
► Press and hold station
search [i], [h] (~1s) to start the au
tomatic station search.
The station search is automatically
ended when a station with a sufficient
signal strength has been found.
The display shows the frequency. If the
signal is strong enough and RDS infor
mation is available, the display shows
the station name, the radio text and the
time.
Finding other stations
► Press station search [i], [h] as de
scribed above.
When it reaches the end of the frequen
cy band, the search jumps back to the
start of the frequency band.
Realign the antenna in the event
of poor reception.

Manual station search – FM (VHF)
► Press station search [i], [h] several
times until you reach the desired
frequency.
The frequency goes up/down in incre
ments of 0.1 MHz.
5.7 Using a preset
Popular radio stations can be saved in a
preset. There are four presets availa
ble.
► Press and hold presets [b], [c], [f]
or [g] (~1s) until <SET MEMO> is
shown on the display.
The station is saved under the selected
preset. The display shows preset num
bers P1 to P4.
Repeat this step for further presets.
Presets can be overwritten with a new
station in the same way.
Calling up presets
► Press the desired pre
sets [b], [c], [f] or [g] in order to get
to the saved station.
5.8 Time – Radio Data System
The radio synchronises the time and
shows it in display [d] when a station is
selected that provides RDS information
with CT signals. If a signal is strong
enough, the time is updated within one
to two minutes. The radio time is up to
date for the next 24 hours when the ra
dio is synchronised with RDS-CT.
If no RDS signal is received, the
time is not shown.
5.9 Listening to music via
Bluetooth® streaming
SysRock and the Bluetooth® device
must be coupled with each other in or
der to play back music via the
Bluetooth® device. Two devices can rec
ognise each other through this "cou
pling".
First connection of the Bluetooth® de
vice
► Press Source [j] to select
Bluetooth® mode.
The Bluetooth® symbol flashes
on the display and shows that SysRock
can be detected.
► Activate Bluetooth® on the
Bluetooth® device, as explained in
the operating manual of the
Bluetooth® device.
► Display the Bluetooth® device list
and select the <SysRock> device. On
mobile phones which have an older
version of the Bluetooth® standard
than BT2.1, a password must be en
tered ("0000").
If the Bluetooth® connection is
active, the Bluetooth® symbol is dis
played next to it with a tick. Any music
can now be selected and played back on
the Bluetooth® device.
NOTE:
– If two Bluetooth® devices are inten
ded to be coupled for the first time
and are simultaneously looking to
connect to SysRock, SysRock is dis
played for connection on both devi
ces. After connecting with a device,
SysRock is no longer displayed in
the connection list of the other de
vice.
– If the Bluetooth® device is taken out
of range, the connection to SysRock
will be interrupted temporarily.
SysRock will automatically activate

the connection as soon as the
Bluetooth® device is back in range.
No other Bluetooth® device can be
coupled with SysRock over the peri
od of the interruption.
– If <SysRock> appears in the device
list of the Bluetooth® device but
connection is not possible: Delete
the device from the list and connect
the Bluetooth® device with SysRock
again, as described above.
– The effective range between
SysRock and the Bluetooth® device
is approximately 10 metres (30 feet).
Any obstacle between SysRock and
the Bluetooth® device can reduce
the range.
– The Bluetooth® connectivity per
formance can vary depending on the
connected Bluetooth® device.
Please note the Bluetooth® func
tions of the device to be coupled be
fore connecting it to SysRock. Not
all functions may be supported on
some coupled Bluetooth® devices.
Playing back audio files in Bluetooth®
mode
When SysRock is successfully coupled
with the selected Bluetooth® device, the
music can be played back with the oper
ating functions of the coupled
Bluetooth® device.
► As soon as playback starts, set the
desired volume via the volume regu
lation [a], [k] on SysRock or on the
Bluetooth® device.
► Select Playback/Pause and Change
Track on the operating elements of
the coupled Bluetooth® device. Or
with the buttons on SysRock: Play
back/Pause [b], Next Track [h],
Previous Track [i].
Information about the track currently
being played back (e.g. track name/
artist) is shown as continuous text at
the bottom of the display.
NOTE:
– Not all applications and devices re
spond to these control elements.
– Some mobile phones temporarily
disconnect from SysRock in the
event of incoming or outgoing calls.
Some mobile phones switch to mute
if memos, e-mails or the like are re
ceived. Such behaviour is a function
of the coupled Bluetooth® device
and does not mean a fault in
SysRock.
Playing back from already coupled
devices
This SysRock can save up to eight
paired devices. When the memory ex
ceeds this number, the earliest device
is overwritten. If the Bluetooth® device
was already coupled with SysRock,
SysRock saves this Bluetooth® device
and tries to couple with the device that
was last connected. If the most recently
paired Bluetooth® device is not availa
ble, SysRock will try to connect to the
next most recent device and so on.
Deleting the memory of the coupled
Bluetooth® devices
► To delete the Bluetooth® device
memory in SysRock: Press and hold
memory key 4 [g] (<1s) until <BT-
RESET> is shown on the display.
SysRock switches off automatically
after the memory has been deleted.

Disconnecting a coupled Bluetooth®
device
► Press Source [j] and select a mode
other than Bluetooth® mode.
► Alternatively, press Couple [f] (~2s)
to break the connection.
If the Bluetooth® device is disconnected
in Bluetooth® mode, the Bluetooth®
symbol on the display begins to flash
again and shows that SysRock is availa
ble once again for a new connection.
Using a hands-free function
This SysRock can be used
as a hands-free function for
a mobile phone. If music is
played back via SysRock
and there's an incoming call to the mo
bile phone, the music is automatically
interrupted so that you can answer the
call.
► If there's an incoming call during
the playback of music via SysRock,
briefly press the call button [c] to
answer the call.
► Speak in the direction of the internal
microphone [1-7].
Note: A very high volume in
SysRock can affect the sound
quality.
► Press call button [c] and let go in
order to end the call.
5.10 AUX input (AUX-IN)
A 3.5 mm AUX input [1-4]
is attached to the upper
part of SysRock and ena
bles the playback of an audio signal
from an external audio device, such as
an MP3 or CD player.
► Connect a stereo or mono audio
source (such as an MP3 or CD play
er) at the AUX input [1-4].
► Press Source [j] in order to select
AUX mode.
► Set the volume on the MP3 or CD
player (max. 70%) in order to ensure
a sufficient signal, then adapt the
volume on SysRock for comfortable
listening.
Never use the AUX input in the
rain or under humid conditions, in
order to prevent moisture pene
trating into SysRock. Keep the
rubber cover on the reverse
tightly closed in just such condi
tions.
5.11 Setup options
Mounting bracket [1-1]
The pushable mounting bracket allows
the device to be hung up on scaffolding
or the like.
The mounting bracket must be
removed for operation with an ex
ternal Festool battery pack [2A].
Tripod
A standard UNC 1/4"–20 photo tripod
socket can be screwed onto the tripod
socket bushing [2-1].
