Safety Tips
IMPORTANT! Please take a mom-
ent to review the following safety
tips with your skater.
• Your skater should wear shoes or
sneakers that provide good support.
• Your skater should not wear open-
toe shoes.
• Your skater should wear a hel-
met, knee pads, wrist guards
and elbow pads to guard against
bumps and bruises.
• Keep loose laces and pant legs
away from the wheels.
• Supervise beginner skaters.
Hold the beginner’s hand and
guide the new skater along a
smooth, level surface.
• Make sure your skater knows how
to brake and stop in these skates.
• Choose areas for skating which
are free of obstacles.
• Never skate in areas with water,
wet spots, snow, ice, sand, oil,
gravel etc.
• Make sure your skater never skates
on streets, roadways and driveways
which enter vehicle traffic routes.
• Towing skaters with bicycles or cars
is unsafe.
• Make sure your skater does not
skate down hill. Braking is gradual
with these skates. Your skater
should keep this in mind to allow
enough stopping distance.
• Before skating, check to be sure all
wheels, the brake, straps and other
plastic parts are not loose, cracked
or broken. Tighten all parts, as nec-
essary. If any parts are cracked or
broken, discard the skates.
Size Adjustment
Adjust these skates to fit over
your child’s shoes.

the side of each skate.
• While pulling the size adjustment
pin out, pull the front of the skate
to the appropriate size for your child.
• Release the size adjustment pin to
“snap” it into position.
Hint: You may need to push the front
of the skate in or out slightly to fit the
size adjustment pin into position.
Note: Make sure both skates are

IMPORTANT! Your child must first
learn how to stop using the heel
brake on these skates.
While leaning forward, bend at
the knees and tilt the braking skate
(with the heel brake) toe up. Apply
pressure to the heel brake. The heel
brake stops your skater gradually.
Please be sure your skater keeps
this in mind and always allows
enough stopping distance.

Worn WheelNew Wheel
Proper care and maintenance
is important! Over time, and with-
out rotation, the wheels will wear
unevenly on the inside edge.
When this happens, it’s time to
rotate the wheels.
Proper care and maintenance is
important! Over time, the heel
brake will wear down. If the heel
brake is worn, it’s time to replace it!
Please call Fisher-Price®Consumer
Affairs at 1-800-432-KIDS for
replacement information.
• Using a 4mm Allen wrench, loosen
and remove the bolt and nut in
each wheel. Remove each wheel,
keeping in mind its original location.
• Turn the wheel around so that the
worn edge is now on the outside.
Now, replace each wheel in the
skate, one position back from where
it originally was placed. For example,
the first wheel should be replaced
in the second position; the second
wheel should be replaced in the third
position; and the last wheel should
be replaced in the first position.
• Replace the nut and bolt in each
wheel and tighten with a 4mm Allen
wrench. Do not over-tighten.
