Fluance Stylus Replacement/Upgrade Guide
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I determine the tracking weight for my new cartridge?
This information should be included with the product documentation
for your new cartridge. If necessary you should contact the cartridge
manufacturer for this information.
What is the break in period for a new stylus?
Different manufacturers recommend different break in periods for their
models. Contact your cartridge manufacturer for more information.
What do I do if my new cartridge is outside the supported cartridge
weight range?
Heavier or lighter counterweights can be used to increase or decrease
the supported cartridge weight. Visit www.uance.com/turntables for the
latest Fluance Turntable accessories.
What is VTA and can I adjust it?
VTA refers to Vertical Tracking Angle and refers to the angle of the
cantilever/stylus to the record surface. Depending on the height of the
cartridge, the angle of the cantilever will change. The standard VTA for
turntables is between 20° and 30°. Fluance turntables do not have an
adjustable tonearm height so it is important to select a cartridge with a
height close to the height of the original cartridge (17mm).
