STEP BY STEP
Remove head unit
• Use 5/32" hex bit for tamper-resistant
screws to unscrew 1/4"-20 x 3/4"
tamper-resistant flat head cap screws
and remove head unit.
NOTE: Retain all pieces for use in later
steps.
Remove lamp & top plate
• Remove lamp.
• Use 1/4" wrench to unscrew and remove
#8-32 x 1/2" thread-cutting hex washer
head screws (c) and #8 external tooth
washers (b).
• Remove top plate.
NOTE: Retain all pieces for use in later
steps.
Remove body & mounting unit
• Use 3/4" socket and socket wrench to
unscrew and remove 1/2"-13 nut and
1/2" washer from each vertical support.
NOTE: Retain all pieces for use in later
steps.

Pour concrete footer
• Mix and pour concrete footer according
to concrete manufacturer’s instructions.
• A sufficient footer size depends on frost
and other conditions to be determined by
the installer. A minimum of a
13" diameter x 20" deep footer is
recommended.
Insert J-bolt anchors
• Insert 1/2"-13 x 18" galvanized steel
J-bolt anchors (g) into concrete.
• Use template (included) to position J-bolt
anchors in proper locations. Tops of
J-bolt anchors must be a minimum of
1-1/4" above concrete surface.
• Allow concrete to set completely, in
accordance with concrete
manufacturer’s instructions, before
moving to step 6.
Attach base plate to J-bolt anchors
• Slide base plate and vertical supports
over J-bolt anchors and lower to concrete
level.
• Slide 1/2" washer (f), then thread 1/2"-
13 nut (e) onto each J-bolt anchor and
tighten with 3/4" socket and socket
wrench until snug.

Position & attach body & mounting unit
• Slide body and mounting unit over base
plate and vertical supports.
• Slide 1/2" external tooth lock washer
(d), then thread 1/2"-13 nut (e) onto
each vertical support.
• Use 3/4" wrench to tighten until snug.
Attach top plate & replace lamp
• Position top plate over mounting unit so
holes are aligned.
• Slide #8 external tooth washer (b) onto
each #8-32 x 1/2" thread-cutting hex
washer head screw (c) and thread
through holes in top plate.
• Use 1/4" wrench to tighten screws until
snug.
• Replace lamp.
Position & attach head unit
• Position head unit on top of body &
mounting unit so holes are aligned.
• Thread 1/4"-20 x 3/4" tamper-resistant
flat head cap screw (a) into each hole
and use 5/32" hex bit for tamper-
resistant screws to tighten until snug.
