Congratulations on your purchase of the ForPro Non-Contact Electronic Infrared Thermometer.
Please read the instructions and safety tips before use. Your thermometer comes with a one-year
limited warranty. If for any reason you need service, please call 800-520-6000.
This product is powered by 3V, please use two AAA alkaline batteries. This product is only used for
temperature measurement, not for disease diagnosis. Please follow the doctor’s advice.

Body temperature of person is shown by measuring thermal radiation on the forehead.

circuit and measuring circuit. The infrared temperature sensing method is used to measure the

• The ambient temperature of this product must be between 60.8°F and 95°F (16°C and 35°C).

• Do not place this product where there is an electric shock.
• Do not place the product in extreme temperatures: above 122°F or below 32°F (above 50°C or
below 0°C).
• Do not place the product in an environment with humidity higher than 85%.
• The infrared detector in the front of this product is fragile.
• Do not touch the infrared detector with your finger.
• Do not expose infrared detectors to sunlight or immerse them in water. Do not drop the product.
• If any problem is found, please please call 800-520-6000 and do not repair the product by yourself.

Note: measurement errors may occur if parts supplied by non-manufacturers are substituted for
the original parts.
• This product is a metering product. It is recommended to check the accuracy of the product at
intervals of one year.
• Do not use in an electromagnetic interference environment.
• Dispose of the waste and residue of the product according to local laws and regulations.
Battery Installation/Replacement
1. The product needs two AAA alkaline batteries, which can be used for about 20,000 times.
When the battery symbol “” appears on the screen and flashes, it indicates that the battery is
insufficient and needs to be replaced.
2. Open the battery cover to replace the battery, and pay attention to whether the positive and
negative electrodes of the battery are placed in the correct position.
3. A rechargeable battery does not meet the product requirements, please do not use it.
4. When not used for a long time, it is recommended to take out the battery to avoid battery leakage
and damage the product.
Instructions for Use
Correct use is the key to measure accuracy, otherwise it may cause measurement error. As the Infrared
temperature measurement has serious demand on the surrounding environment, please follow the
following instructions.
In the shutdown state, press the “switch/measure” button to start the machine, and the LCD screen
will fully display for 1 second, and “-- °C or --° F “will be displayed to indicate that the machine is in
standby state (if there is no button operation within about 30 seconds of standby time, the product
will automatically shut down or shut down after pressing the ”switch/measure“ button for more than
3 seconds).
In standby mode, press “On/Off/measure” key measurement to start, when the LCD screen display
temperature or after the end of the prompt sound to complete the measurement, the time is about
1 second.
Tips:
1. The product cannot be moved away from the position of measuring temperature before the
measurement is completed.
2. When taking the temperature, the product should be pointed to the center of the front forehead –
above the brow center and kept vertical. The measuring area should not be covered by hair.
The distance between the product and the forehead is recommended to be about 1 - 2 inches
(3 - 5cm). If you can not measure forehead, it is recommended to use the body surface without
exposure (such as chest or abdomen)
3. When the measured person comes from a place where there is a big difference with the measured
ambient temperature, the measured person should stay in the measured environment for at least
5 minutes, and the measured temperature should be consistent with the ambient temperature,
otherwise the measured result will be affected.
4. The measurement result will be on the low side if fever patients’ forehead sweats, or they had cold
compresses and other cooling measures. This should be avoided.
5. Thermometer should be in the environment for 20 minutes.
6. Do not take temperature near direct air conditioning or air flow.
7. Do not use the product in direct sunlight.
8. It is recommended to measure for about 3 times during measurement, and the interval time for
each measurement is 3-5 seconds, whichever group of data is displayed the most shall prevail.

Setting Adjustment:
This product can modify the default setting parameters. The factory setting has been made for
different sales markets before leaving the factory. It is recommended that you do not modify the
factory default value. If you really need to modify, please follow the following steps.
1. Mode switching
When the screen is lit, press the “set” button to switch the two modes of object surface
temperature and human body temperature.
2. Temperature compensation setting
Press “+” and “-” to adjust the temperature compensation settings.
3. High fever alarm temperature setting
Long press the setting key to enter the function setting menu. First, pop out the F1 menu, then
press the setting key again, pop out the F2 menu, and then press the “+” and “--” keys to set
the alarm temperature. The machine defaults to 38 degrees.
4. Temperature compensation setting
Long press the setting key to enter the function setting menu. First, pop out the F1 menu,
press the setting key again, pop out the F2 menu, press the setting key again, pop out the F3
menu, and then press the “+” and “--” keys to switch the temperature unit. You can switch the
temperature unit (°C/°F).
5. Memory function
Press the “+” and “-” keys to view the history.
Special Storage
• Products must be kept in a clean and dry place.
• Do not place the product where there is an electric shock.
• Do not store the product in extreme environments where the temperature exceeds 122°F or below
32°F (above 50°C or below 0°C) and the humidity exceeds 85%.
Maintenance
The product does not need regular maintenance when it is in normal use. Please follow the
instructions when the following situations are met.
1. External dirt: Clean the dirt with a soft cloth with water, or with a cotton swab with medical alcohol
wipe, with medical alcohol wipe can also have a bactericidal disinfection effect. Be careful not to
allow too much water or alcohol to enter the product and cause damage.
2. Internal smudge: Internal infrared detector is an important device. Do not touch or press with your
fingers or other objects, or it will affect the accuracy of measurement. If infrared detector is dirty,
use cotton swab with 95% alcohol wipe. Note: do not use 75% disinfecting alcohol to wipe infrared
detector (traces of water will remain). Do not wipe infrared detectors with other chemicals.
• Do not wash the thermometer in water or volatile solvents containing benzene or abrasive.
Do not put thermometer and direct sunlight, high temperature, or humidity.
• Before use, please check whether the appearance is damaged. With alcohol swabs or soft cloth,
gently wipe the lens of the temperature measuring head.
• Use a soft cloth to gently wipe the dirt on the fuselage after use.
• This product does not need to be sterilized. Please clean and disinfect the body with 75% alcohol
before and after use.
• This product has been strictly calibrated and tested before delivery.

Troubleshooting
