After you have connected the FortiExtender network interfaces, the device automatically
attempts to obtain an IP address from a DHCP server. If you do not use DHCP, you can
congure a static IP address.
To congure a static IP address:
1. Use an Ethernet cable to connect one of the LAN ports in the back of the
FortiExtender to the Ethernet port of your computer.
2. Congure the computer to be on the same subnet as the FortiExtender by changing
its IP address to 192.168.1.1 and the netmask to 255.255.255.0.
3. Open your web browser and point to the default FortiExtender web GUI address:
http://192.168.1.2
4. In both the username and password elds, type admin and press Enter.
5. Go to Network Conguration.
6. For address mode, select Static.
7. Specify the IP address, netmask, and gateway; and then click APPLY.

“Sourcecode”foraworkmeansthepreferredformoftheworkformakingmodicationstoit.Foralibrary,completesourcecodemeansallthesourcecodeforallmodulesit

restricted,andoutputfromsuchaprogramiscoveredonlyifitscontentsconstituteaworkbasedontheLibrary(independentoftheuseoftheLibraryinatoolforwritingit).
Whether that is true depends on what the Library does and what the program that uses the Library does.
1.YoumaycopyanddistributeverbatimcopiesoftheLibrary’scompletesourcecodeasyoureceiveit,inanymedium,providedthatyouconspicuouslyandappropriately

2.YoumaymodifyyourcopyorcopiesoftheLibraryoranyportionofit,thusformingaworkbasedontheLibrary,andcopyanddistributesuchmodicationsorworkunder
the terms of Section 1 above, provided that you also meet all of these conditions:
a) The modied work must itself be a software library.
b) You must cause the les modied to carry prominent notices stating that you changed the les and the date of any change.
c) You must cause the whole of the work to be licensed at no charge to all third parties under the terms of this License.

Oncethischangeismadeinagivencopy,itisirreversibleforthatcopy,sotheordinaryGNUGeneralPublicLicenseappliestoallsubsequentcopiesandderivativeworks
made from that copy. This option is useful when you wish to copy part of the code of the Library into a program that is not a library.
4.YoumaycopyanddistributetheLibrary(oraportionorderivativeofit,underSection2)inobjectcodeorexecutableformunderthetermsofSections1and2above
providedthatyouaccompanyitwiththecompletecorrespondingmachine-readablesourcecode,whichmustbedistributedunderthetermsofSections1and2aboveona

Ifdistributionofobjectcodeismadebyoeringaccesstocopyfromadesignatedplace,thenoeringequivalentaccesstocopythesourcecodefromthesameplacesatises
the requirement to distribute the source code, even though third parties are not compelled to copy the source along with the object code.
5.AprogramthatcontainsnoderivativeofanyportionoftheLibrary,butisdesignedtoworkwiththeLibrarybybeingcompiledorlinkedwithit,iscalleda“workthatuses
the Library”. Such a work, in isolation, is not a derivative work of the Library, and therefore falls outside the scope of this License.
However,linkinga“workthatusestheLibrary”withtheLibrarycreatesanexecutablethatisaderivativeoftheLibrary(becauseitcontainsportionsoftheLibrary),rather
than a“work that uses the library”. The executable is therefore covered by this License. Section 6 states terms for distribution of such executables.
Whena“workthatusestheLibrary”usesmaterialfromaheaderlethatispartoftheLibrary,theobjectcodefortheworkmaybeaderivativeworkoftheLibraryeven
though the source code is not.
Whether thisis trueis especiallysignicant ifthe workcan be linkedwithout the Library, orif the work isitself alibrary. The thresholdforthisto betrue isnot precisely
dened by law.
Ifsuchanobjectleusesonlynumericalparameters,datastructurelayoutsandaccessors,andsmallmacrosandsmallinlinefunctions(tenlinesorlessinlength),thenthe

objectcodeand/orsourcecode,sothattheusercanmodifytheLibraryandthenrelinktoproduceamodiedexecutablecontainingthemodiedLibrary.(Itisunderstood
that the user who changes the contents of denitions les in the Library will not necessarily be able to recompile the application to use the modied denitions.)
b)UseasuitablesharedlibrarymechanismforlinkingwiththeLibrary.Asuitablemechanismisonethat(1)usesatruntimeacopyofthelibraryalreadypresentonthe
