Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Forza FPD-1611M0U power distribution unit (PDU). To enjoy all features and benefits
of this device, please read and follow all installation and operation instructions thoroughly before unpacking,
installing or operating this unit.
This rack power distribution unit (PDU) is a space-saving solution to connect and control up to 16 devices at the
same time. Designed to be easily installed vertically on an open rack, it comes with an LCD screen that provides
real-time information about the PDU performance. This unit provides a stable power distribution to all devices
connected to it. Its well-spaced 16 NEMA 5-15R outlets make it a convenient, versatile option for your power
connection needs.
CAUTION!
• This PDU is intended for indoor use only.
• Do not install it where excessive moisture or heat is present.
• Never install a PDU, wiring or electrical equipment during a thunderstorm.
• Plug this PDU into a three-wire, grounded power outlet only. The power outlet must be connected to an
appropriate branch circuit or mains protection (fuse or circuit breaker). Connection to any other type of power
outlet may result in shock hazard.
• Do not use extension cords or adapters with this PDU.
• Check that the power cord, plug and socket are in good condition.
• Disconnect the PDU from the power outlet before you install or connect equipment to reduce the risk of
electric shock when you cannot verify grounding. Reconnect the PDU to the power outlet only after you make
all connections.

LED display
This PDU features a LED screen that displays two lines of information:
• Line 1: Alternating current (voltage).
• Line 2: Amperage and power (watts) alternately, as indicated by the LED lights on the right of the screen.

This indicator light will remain green as long as power is constant and within the PDU’s voltage range. Otherwise, the light
will turn off.

Installation
Note 1: This PDU can only be installed vertically on a cabinet, telecom, floor cabinet or open rack.
Note 2: Make sure the rack you install this PDU on an EIA/ECA rack or enclosure of 7 feet or higher.
Note 3: This vertical PDU can be installed on the mounting rail in two different ways: standard installation using the
M6 screw set (front face) and alternative installation using the M5 screw set (side face).
Step 1
Locate two square holes in a mounting rail at the top
of the rack.
Step 3
Align the holes at one end of the PDU with the
corresponding holes and nuts in the rail.
Step 4
Insert the provided M6 screws and washers in the holes and
screw them up tight with a screwdriver.
Repeat the procedure to install the bottom end of the PDU.
Standard Installation (with the use of the M6 screw set)
Alternative Installation (with the use of the M5 screw set)
Step 2
Align the holes at one end of the PDU with the
corresponding round holes in the rail.
Step 1
Locate two round holes on the side face of the
mounting rail.
Step 3
Insert the provided M5 screws and nuts in the holes and
screw them up tight with a screwdriver.
Repeat the process to install the bottom end of the
PDU.
Step 2
From behind the rail, insert the provided M6 cage
nuts in the square holes, as shown below.

Gracias por comprar la unidad de distribución de energía (PDU) FPD-1611M0U de Forza. Para aprovechar todas
las funciones y beneficios de este dispositivo, lea y siga las instrucciones de instalación y operación antes de
desempacar, instalar u operar esta unidad.
Esta unidad de distribución de energía (PDU) es una solución que ahorra espacio y permite conectar y controlar
hasta 16 dispositivos al mismo tiempo. De fácil instalación vertical en gabinetes, telecoms, gabinetes de piso y
racks abiertos, esta unidad viene con una pantalla LCD que da información en tiempo real sobre el rendimiento de
la PDU. El FPD-1611M0U proporciona una distribución de energía estable a todos los dispositivos conectados a
la unidad. Sus 16 tomas de tipo NEMA 5-15R la convierten en una opción práctica y versátil para sus necesidades

¡PRECAUCIÓN!
• Esta PDU está diseñada solo para uso en interiores.
• No la instale en lugares de calor o humedad excesivos.
• Nunca instale una PDU, cableado o equipo eléctrico durante una tormenta eléctrica.
• Enchufe esta PDU solo en un tomacorriente de tres entradas con conexión a tierra. La toma de corriente
debe estar conectada a un apropiado circuito derivado o protección de red (fusible o disyuntor). La conexión
a cualquier otro tipo de tomacorriente puede resultar en riesgo de descarga eléctrica.
• No utilice cables de extensión ni adaptadores con esta PDU.

Instalación
Nota 1: Esta PDU solo se puede instalar verticalmente en un gabinete, telecomunicaciones, gabinete de piso o rack abierto.
Nota 2: Asegúrese de instalar esta PDU en un bastidor o gabinete EIA/ECA de 7 pies o más.
Note 3: Esta PDU puede ser instalada en los raíles de montaje de dos formas diferentes: instalación estándar usando el juego de
tornillos M6 (parte frontal) o instalación alternativa usando el juego de tornillos M5 (parte lateral).
Paso 2
Desde la cara interna y posterior del riel, inserte las
tuercas de jaula M6 (incluidas en el empaque) en
los orificios cuadrados (ver imagen abajo).
Paso 1
Ubique dos orificios cuadrados en un riel de montaje
en el extremo superior del bastidor.
Paso 3
Alinee los orificios en uno de los extremos del PDU con
los orificios y tuercas correspondientes en el riel.
Paso 4
Inserte las arandelas y tornillos M6 (incluidos en el empaque)
en los orificios, y atorníllelos usando un destornillador.
Repita el procedimiento para instalar el extremo inferior
del PDU.
Instalación estándar (con uso del juego de tornillos M6)
Instalación alternativa (usando el juego de tornillos M5)
Paso 2
Alinee los orificios en uno de los extremos del PDU con
los orificios y tuercas correspondientes en el riel.
Paso 1
Ubique dos orificios redondos en el extremo superior
de la cara lateral del raíl de montaje.
Paso 3
Inserte las tuercas y tornillos M5 (incluidos en el
empaque) en los orificios y atorníllelos usando un
destornillador. Repita el procedimiento para instalar el
extremo inferior del PDU.
