Introduction
Foxun’s SX-MX08 is a HDMI2.0 HDCP2.2 4K 8-by-8 HDMI true matrix. It
allows any eight source (Blue-Ray player, HD DVD player, satellite receiver,
game system, etc.) to be shown on the any of the eight displays simultaneously,
no matter the source is HDCP or not.
SX-MX08 has the ability of equalization and amplification to ensure HDMI
signal's transmission through long cable without quality loss.
SX-MX08 offers solutions for digital entertainment center, HDTV retail and
show site, HDTV, STB, DVD and projector factory, noise, space and security
concerns, data center control, information distribution, conference room
presentation, school and corporate training environments.

Product Overview ( Model Number: SX-MX08 )
Features
HDMI 2.0 version (Support HDMI2.0 4K50/60Hz YUV420).
Support HDCP2.2/1.4 input, HDCP1.4 output.
Easy to use: install in seconds, no need for setting.
Allows up to eight HDMI source devices to be independently switched to
eight HDMI monitors, HDTVs, or projectors.
The two outputs could show the same or different source at the same time
no matter the source is HDCP or not.
Support high definition resolutions 4K@60Hz, 4K@30Hz, 1080P, 1080i,
720P and standard video format.
Three switching modes:panel buttons, local IR, IR extension.

① HDMI input port.
② HDMI output port.
③ S/PDIF digital audio output.
④ Ethernet control.
⑤ RS232 for control.
⑥ For IR external receiver cable.
⑦ DC power input.
Installation
1) Connect the HDMI input sources ( such as HD-DVD, PS3, STB etc)
into SX-MX08.
2) Connect the HDMI outputs ( such as HD-LCD, HD-DLP) into
SX-MX08.
3) Optional: Connect the IR Cable to the IR Port.
4) Optional: Connect RS232 cable from PC RS232 port (or USB-RS232
converter) to SX-SX08.
5) Optional: Connect Audio (Coaxial) cable to the Audio output port.
6) Optional: Connect an Ethernet cable from the TCP/IP port on the matrix to
a local Area Network.

7) Connect 5V power supply to DC power socket.
8) Power on the SX-MX08, TV and other devices.
9) Control SX-MX08 by using buttons on the front panel.
Attention:Insert / Extract cables gently.
Operation
1. Front panel control.
The SX-MX08 front panel to select inputs to the various outputs.
1). Press “Out 1” to “Out 8” to choose the output port which need to
change the source.
2). Press “In 1” to “In 8” to choose the source for the selected output
port.

2. Local IR remote control.
User can control the HDMI route of the matrix by using the IR remote.
Left arrow button to backward the input port, and right arrow to forward input
port.
3. IR extender control.
User can use the IR receiver cable to change the IR receiver position.
If controlling the SX-MX08 through the 1/8” (3.5 mm) input jack on the rear
panel, connect the IR cable directly to the matrix rear IR receiver extension
sockets.

4. EDID setting.
Pressing ‘Enter’ to enter EDID setting menu.
Pressing ‘3’ to change to the input port select menu.
Pressing one of the digit will enter the setting menu for the selected input
port.
‘1’ to show next EDID
‘2’ to show previous EDID
Note: First pressing ‘1’ or ‘2’ will show the current EDID setting.
‘3’ to confirm (activate).
‘4’ to exit menu
There are 12 set of embedded EDID data, 4 set of user EDID. Or copy
EDID from TV on one of the output port.

User EDID can be set via RS232.
The EDID data read from one of output port will be saved to USER
EDID1.

MAINTENANCE
Clean this unit with a soft, dry cloth. Never use alcohol, paint thinner of
benzine to clean this unit.
PRODUCT SERVICE
(1)Damage requiring service:
The unit should be serviced by qualified service personnel if:
(a) The DC power supply cord or AC adaptor has been damaged;
(b) Objects or liquids have gotten into the unit;
(c) The unit has been exposed to rain;
(d) The unit does not operate normally or exhibits a marked change in
performance;
The unit has been dropped or the cabinet damaged.
(2)Servicing Personnel: Do not attempt to service the unit beyond that
described in these operating instructions. Refer all other servicing to
authorized servicing personnel.
(3)Replacement parts: When parts need replacing ensure the servicer uses
parts specified by the manufacturer or parts that have the same
characteristics as the original parts. Unauthorized substitutes may result in
fire, electric shock, or other Hazards.
(4)Safety check: After repairs or service, ask the servicer to perform safety
checks to confirm that the unit is in proper working condition.
WARRANTY
If your product does not work properly because of a defect in materials or
workmanship, our Company (referred to as "the warrantor" ) will, for the
length of the period indicated as below, (Parts(2)Year, Labor(90) Days)
which starts with the date of original purchase ("Limited Warranty period"), at
its option either(a) repair your product with new or refurbished parts, or (b)
replace it with a new of a refurbished product. The decision to repair or
replace will be made by the warrantor.
During the "Labor" Limited Warranty period there will be no charge for labor.
During the "Parts" warranty period, there will be no charge for parts. You must

mail-in your product during the warranty period. This Limited Warranty is
extended only to the original purchaser and only covers product purchased
as new. A purchase receipt or other proof of original purchase date is
required for Limited Warranty service.
MAIL-IN SERVICE
When shipping the unit carefully pack and send it prepaid, adequately
insured and preferably in the original carton. Include a letter detailing the
complaint and provide a day time phone and/or email address where you can
be reached.
LIMITED WARRANTY LIMITS AND EXCLUSIONS
1.This Limited Warranty ONLY COVERS failures due to defects in materials
or workmanship, and DOES NOT COVER normal wear and tear or cosmetic
damage.
The Limited Warranty ALSO DOES NOT COVER damages which occurred in
shipment, or failures which are caused by products not supplied by warrantor,
or failures which result from accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling,
misapplication, alteration, faulty installation, set-up adjustments,
maladjustment of consumer controls, improper maintenance, power line
surge, lightning damage, modification, or service by anyone other than a
Factory Service center or other Authorized Servicer, or damage that is
attributable to acts of God.
2.THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES EXCEPT AS LISTED UNDER
"LIMITED WARRANTY COVERAGE". THE WARRANTOR IS NOT LIABLE
FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM
THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT, OR ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF
THIS WARRNTY. (As examples, this excludes damages for lost time, cost of
having someone remove or re-install an installed unit if applicable,
travel to and from the service, loss of or damage to media or images, data or
other recorded content. The items listed are not exclusive, but are for
illustration only.)
3.PARTS AND SERVICE, WHICH ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED
WARRANTY, ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
