Product overview
The Fracarro FRPRO EVO HD is an high selective programmable compact headend for filter, amplify and
convert the VHF/UHF Digital Terrestrial channels as well as mix the FM signal. The FRPRO EVO HD is a
complete“Fully Agile Digital Channel Processor” that can be used on small, medium or high installation plants as
well as in hospitality enviroments.
•Can process and convert more than 50 indipendent RF channels with very high selectivity on adjacent
channel
•AGC automatic control circuit on all individual VHF/UHF input multiplexes
•Isofrequency or “Fully Agile” frequency conversion for every filters and from any input even from VHF to
UHF frequencies.
•Security code available for avoid incidental settings
•5 indipendents inputs: FM / 4 x VHF-UHF with selectable 12-24 V remote power on all VHF-UHF input
Quick Mounting Instructions
•Connect the device to the grounding electrode of the antenna system and fix the FRPRO EVO HD in
vertical position for guarantee the correct ventilation and heat dissipation;
•Connect the power cord to the power supply socket. Check the status LED for DC power presence;
•Connect the VHF/UHF and/or FM aerial’s coaxial cables to the FRPRO EVO HD;
•Connect the RF output coaxial cable to the RF coaxial distribution network;
•If necessary, connect a field meter to the -30dB test port to check the quality signal
•Configure the device using the three settings buttons available on the top of the FRPRO EVO HD (NOTE:
press the “confirm button” for two seconds to to access the main menù and use the left-down or right-up
arrows to scroll the sub-menù. Refer to the Quick Settings Guide chapter).
•Optionally: insert an SD card in the SD slot to upload/download the configurations from/to another FRPRO
EVO HD;
NOTE. If necessary, the power adapter can easily be replaced without unmount the product by open the top left
plastic cover. Please refer to the Safety and Installation Warning chapter before proceed.

Quick Settings Guide
Preliminary indication
IMPORTANT: Before starting the configuration, it is advised to set the AREA or COUNTRY in order to select
the correct VHF-UHF frequency plan.
•Power off the device,
•Push the “confirm button” and keep it pushing while you turn-on the FRPRO EVO HD.
•Release the button when “RESET FINISHED” message is shown on display.
•To activate the correct frequency plan select the COUNTRY where the FRPRO EVO HD is situated and
save with the “confirm button”. Europe is the default setting.

•Power up the FRPRO EVO HD by using the 220V power cord included in the package. The FRPRO
EVO HD will need approximately 5 secs to initialize itself. The FRPRO EVO HD configuration can be
performed by using the three settings buttons and the display available on the top front (see block diagram
above).
•Press the “confirm” button for two seconds to access the different menù or for confirm the selection. Scroll
all the menu by using left-down or right-up arrows for move through the different menù.
Input settings
•Select “INPUT FM” to setup the desired FM input signal gain.
•Select “INPUT 1…4” to enter the VHF/UHF input settings (NOTE: the first TV channel selected determine
if the INPUT becames a VHF or UHF input only).
•Turn ON the “PRE-AMPLI” section in order to enable the pre-amplifier stage if the RF input level are very
critical.
•Turn ON the “DC” if is necessary to insert the power supply to the external must amplifiers (max 100mA
for the 4 VHF/UHF inputs)
•Select “ADD CHANNEL” to add the RF channel on the list of the filetered/converted channels managed
from the relative input (NOTE: to delete the unwanted RF channel, move on the position of the channel by
using left/down ot right/up arrows buttons and press the “confirm” button for 3 seconds until “Channel
Deleted” message is shown on display).

•By selecting “OUTPUT”, is possible to define the total RF output level from 93dBuV to 113dBuV
maximum output depending from the total amount multiplexes managed from the FRPRO EVO HD.
•By selecting “SLOPE”, is possible to set a -9dB slope between the VHF and latest UHF frequencies
managed from the FRPRO EVO HD.
Advanced and Miscellaneous settings
•Select “ADVANCED” menù if is necessary to modify the remote DC VOLTAGE (12V or 24V available only
in VHF/UHF inputs), for UPGRADE the FIRMWARE or for the SD card management (Format,
download/upload the configuration).
•Select “EXIT” menù for lock/unlock the FRPRO EVO HD and for decide the “LOCK CODE”.

INSTALLATION WARNINGS
•The product must not be exposed to any dripping or splashing and thus it should be installed indoors and in a dry location.
•Humidity and condensation could damage the product. In case of condensation, wait until the product is dry before using it.
•Handle the product carefully. Impacts can damage the product.
Leave enough space around the product to ensure sufficient ventilation.
•Excessive temperatures and/or an overheating may affect the performance and the life of the product.
•Don’t install the product above or near any heat sources, in dusty places or where it might come into contact with corrosive substances.
•In the event that the unit is fixed to the wall, use the proper screw anchors suitable to the characteristics of the fixing support. The wall and the anchoring
system must be able to support at least 4 times the weight of the unit.
•Warning: to avoid injury, this appliance must be secured to the wall / floor depending on the installation instructions.
•For "PERMANENTLY INSTALLED APPLIANCES", an easily accessible cutting device must be added to the exterior of the appliance; for "APPLIANCES
WITH A POWER PLUG", the socket must be installed close to the appliance and easily accessible.
•The product must be connected to the grounding electrode of the antenna system in compliance with standard EN 60728-11. The screw provided for this
purpose is marked with the symbol .
•We recommend that you comply with the provisions of standard EN 60728-11 and do not connect this screw to the Protective Earth of the electricity supply.

FRPRO EVO HD
Guida Rapida
Introduzione
La centrale Fracarro FRPRO EVO HD è una centrale compatta programmabile ad alta selettività in grado di
filtrare, amplificare e convertire i multiplex digitali in banda VHF/UHF e miscelarli in uscita anche con il segnale
FM. La centrale FRPRO EVO HD è un processore “Flessibile” di canali Digitali Terrestri e può essere utilizzata
per gestire i segnali in impianti piccoli, medi o anche in grandi installazioni come quelle Hospitality.
•La centrale può gestire e convertire più di 50 canali RF indipendenti con una altissima selettività sul
filtraggio dei canali adiacenti.
•Sistema di Controllo Automatico di Guadagno per ogni multiplex gestito in banda VHF/UHF.
•Conversione “flessibile” o filtraggio selettivo iso-frequenziale per ogni canale RF proveniente da ogni
ingresso VHF o UHF.
•Codice di sicurezza per evitare manomissioni accidentali
•5 ingressi indipendenti: FM / 4 x VHF-UHF con alimentazione remota 12-24V selezionabile per tutti gli
ingressi VHF-UHF
Istruzioni rapide per l’installazione
•Collegare il dispositivo al sistema di messa a terra dell’impianto d’antenna e fissare la centrale FRPRO
EVO HD in posizione verticale per garantire la corretta ventilazione e dissipazione del calore.
•Collegare il cordone di alimentazione alla presa elettrica. Verificare la presenza dell’alimentazione
mediante il led STATUS.
•Collegare i cavi coassiali delle antenne VHF/UHF ed FM alla centrale FRPRO EVO HD.
•Collegare il cavo coassiale RF di uscita all’impianto di distribuzione coassiale.
•Se necessario, collegare un misuratore di campo alla porta test (-30dB) per verificare la qualità dei segnali.
•Programmare il dispositivo tramite i tre pulsanti disponibili sulla parte superiore della centrale FRPRO
EVO HD. (NOTA: premere per due secondi il pulsante “conferma” per accedere ai vari menù principali ed
utilizzare i pulsanti sinistra/basso oppure destra/alto per muoversi all’interno dei sotto-menù. Fare
riferimento al paragrafo Guida Rapida per la Programmazione).
•Opzionalmente utilizzare una SD card per importare/esportare la configurazione da/a un’altra centrale
FRPRO EVO HD.

NOTA. Se necessario, l’adattatore di alimentazione può essere facilmente rimosso dal prodotto aprendo il
coperchio plastico superiore nella parte sinistra. Fare riferimento ai paragrafi delle Avvertenze per la Sicurezza e
Installazione prima di procedere.

Guida rapida per la programmazione
Premessa
IMPORTANTE: Prima di iniziare la programmazione è consigliato impostare il l’AREA o il PAESE per
utilizzare la corretta canalizzazione delle frequenze VHF-UHF.
•Spegnere il dispositivo;
•Premere il pulsante “conferma” e tenerlo premuto fintanto che si alimenta la centrale FRPRO EVO HD.
•Rilasciare il pulsante “conferma” fino a quando viene visualizzato “RESET FINISHED” sul display.
•Selezionare il paese (COUNTRY) dove la centrale FRPRO EVO HD è installata e salvare con il pulsnte
“conferma”.Europa è l’impostazione predefinita.

•Alimentare la centrale FRPRO EVO HD utilizzando il cordone di alimentazione 220V incluso
nell’imballo. La centrale FRPRO EVO HD si inizializza in 5 secondi. Tutta la programmazione della
centrale FRPRO EVO HD può essere effettuata utilizzando il display e i tre pulsanti disponibili sulla parte
superiore (vedere Schema sopra-riportato).
•Per accedere ai differenti menù premere il pulsante “conferma” per due secondi. Lo stesso pulsante si
utilizza anche per confermare le varie selezioni. Per muoversi all’interno dei vari menù si utilizzano i
pulsanti sinistra/basso oppure destra/alto.
Programmazione di ingresso
•Selezionare “INPUT FM” per impostare il guadagno FM desiderato.
•Selezionare “INPUT 1…4” per accedere alle impostazioni degli ingressi VHF/UHF. (NOTA: il primo
canale TV selezionato determina la tipologia di ingresso - VHF o UHF).
•Se il livello RF di ingresso è troppo basso, impostare in ON la sezione “PRE-AMPLI” in modo da abilitare
lo stadio di pre-amplificazione.
•Se dovesse essere necessario utilizzare dei preamplificatori da palo, impostare in ON la telealimentazione
nella sezione “DC” (la massima corrente disponibile è 100mA per tutti e 4 gli ingressi VHF/UHF)
•Selezionare “ADD CHANNEL” per aggiungere nella lista i multiplex filtrati/convertiti che devono essere
gestiti dai rispettivi ingressi (NOTA: per cancellare un multiplex indesiderato, spostarsi nella posizione da

Impostazioni di uscita
•Selezionando “OUTPUT” è possibile definire il massimo livello RF di uscita compreso tra 93dBuV e
113dBuV in funzione del numero totale di multiplex gestiti dalla centrale FRPRO EVO HD.
•Selezionando “SLOPE” è possibile impostare a -9dB la pendenza tra la più bassa frequenza VHF e quella
più alta UHF gestita dalla centrale.
Impostazioni avanzate
Selezionare il menù “ADVANCED” se è necessario modificare la tensione DC remota (“DC VOLTAGE” 12V o
24V disponibile soltanto per gli ingressi VHF/UHF), per fare l’upgrade del fimrware o per gestire la memoria
esterna nello slot SD card utilizzare il menù “UPGRADE” (formattazione, upload/donwload configurazione).
Selezionare il menù “EXIT” per bloccare/sbloccare la centrale FRPRO EVO HD e per decidere il “LOCK
CODE”.

prodotto da parte dell’installatore, dell’utilizzatore o di terzi.
L'installazione del prodotto deve essere eseguita secondo le indicazioni di installazione fornite, al fine di preservare l'operatore da eventuali incidenti e il prodotto da
eventuali danneggiamenti. Non aprire il contenitore del prodotto, parti a tensione pericolosa possono risultare accessibili all'apertura dell'involucro.
AVVERTENZE PER L’INSTALLAZIONE
•Il prodotto non deve essere esposto a gocciolamento o a spruzzi d’acqua e va pertanto installato in un ambiente asciutto, all’interno di edifici.
•Umidità e gocce di condensa potrebbero danneggiare il prodotto. In caso di condensa, prima di utilizzare il prodotto, attendere che sia completamente asciutto.
•Maneggiare con cura. Urti impropri potrebbero danneggiare il prodotto. Lasciare spazio attorno al prodotto per garantire una ventilazione sufficiente.
•L’eccessiva temperatura di lavoro e/o un eccessivo riscaldamento possono compromettere il funzionamento e la durata del prodotto.
•Non installare il prodotto sopra o vicino a fonti di calore o in luoghi polverosi o dove potrebbe venire a contatto con sostanze corrosive.
•In caso di montaggio a muro utilizzare tasselli ad espansione adeguati alle caratteristiche del supporto di fissaggio. La parete ed il sistema di fissaggio devono
essere in grado di sostenere almeno 4 volte il peso dell’apparecchiatura.
•Attenzione: per evitare di ferirsi, questo apparecchio deve essere assicurato alla parete/pavimento secondo le istruzioni di installazione.
•Per “APPARECCHIATURE INSTALLATE PERMANENTEMENTE”, un dispositivo di sezionamento facilmente accessibile deve essere incorporato all’esterno
dell’apparecchiatura; per “APPARECCHIATURE CON SPINA DI CORRENTE”, la presa deve essere installata vicino all’apparecchiatura ed essere facilmente
accessibile.
•Il prodotto deve essere collegato all’elettrodo di terra dell’impianto d’antenna conformemente alla norma EN 60728-11. La vite predisposta per tale scopo è
contrassegnata con il simbolo .
• Si raccomanda di attenersi alle disposizioni della norma EN 60728-11 e di non collegare tale vite alla terra di protezione della rete elettrica di alimentazione.

Introduction
La station Fracarro FRPRO EVO HD è une centrale compacte programmable à haute sélectivité en mesure de
filtrer, amplifier et convertir le canaux numériques dans la bande VHF/UHF et de les coupler en sortie avec le
signal. La station FRPRO EVO HD est un processeur flexible de canaux numériques terrestres et peut être
utlisée pour réaliser des installations de distribution de moyennes et grandes dimansions.
•La station peut gérer et convertir plus de 50 canaux RF indépendants avec une très haute sélectivité de
filtrage des canaux adjacents.
•Système de Contrôle Automatique du Gain pourr chaque canal de la bande.
•Conversion flexible ou filtrage selectif iso-fréquence pour cahque canal RF provenant de chacune des
entrées VHF ou UHF.
•Code PIN de sécurité pour protéger l’accès à la programmation.
•5 entrées indépendantes: FM / 4 x VHF-UHF avec télé-alimentation 12-24V sélectionnable pour toutes les
entrées VHF-UHF.
Instructions pour l’installation
•Branchez la station à la mise à la terre de l’installation d’antenne et fixez-la en position verticale pour
garantir une bonne ventilation et dissipation de la chaleur.
•Branchez le cordon d’alimentation à la prise électrique et vérifiez que la led STATUS soit allumée.
•Branchez lzs câbles coaxiax des antennes VHF/UHF et FM aux connecteurs d’entrée de la station.
•Branchez le câble coaxial de sortie au réseuau de distribution.
•Ranchez le mesureur de champ à la sortie test (-30dB) pour vérifier le niveau et la qualité des signaux.
•Paramétresz la station avec le touches en façade. (NOTA: appuyez pendant deux secondes la touche
“confermaton - V” pour entrer dans le menu et utilisez lzs touches gauche/bas ou droite/haut pour vous
déplacer dans le menu. Consultez le paragraphe Guide Rapide pour la Programmation).
•Vous pouvez utiliser une carte mémoire SD pour télécharger ou exporter la configuraton.
NOTA. Si nécessaire l’alimentation peut être facilement détachée en ouvrant le capot plastique. Consultez le
paragraphe Consignes de Sécurité.

FRPRO EVO HD
Guide de programmation
IMPORTANT: Avant de commencer la programmation du produit il est conseillé de paramétrer le PAYS pour
utiliser le plan de fréquences correct dans les bandes VHF-UHF.
•Débranchez la station.
•Appuyez sur la touche “confirmation – V” pendant que vous rallumez la station.
•Lorsque que le message “RESET FINISHED” s’affiche (remise à zéro terminée) relachez la touche
“confirmation – V”.
•Sélectionnez maintenat sous COUNTRY le pays EUROPE pour la France et validez avec la touche
“confirmation – V”.
•Le démarrage de la station FRPRO EVO HD prend 5 secondes environs. Tout le paramétrage peut être
réalise par les 3 touches en façade et l’afficheur.
•Pour entrer dans le menu appuyez sur la touche “confirmation – V ” pendant deux secondes. La même
touche est utilisée pour confirmer les sélections. Pour naviguer dans le menu utilisez les touches
gauche/bas ou droite/haut.
Paramétrage des entrées
•Sélectionnez “INPUT FM” pour régler le gain de l’entrée FM.
•Sélectionnez “INPUT 1…4” pour entrer dans le menu des entrées VHF/UHF. (NOTA: le premier canal
sélectionné définit le type d’entrée VHF ou UHF).
•Si le niveau d’entrée est trop faible, paramétrez sur ON la section “PRE-AMPLI” de manière à activer
l’étage de pré-amplification.
•Si vous utilisez des pré-amplis de mât activez la télé-alimentation (ON) dans la section “DC” (le courant
maximum disponible est de 100mA pour toutes les 4 entrées VHF/UHF)
•Sélectionnez “ADD CHANNEL” pour ajouter un canal à la liste des canaux filtrés ou convertis (NOTA:
pour supprimer un canal, déplacez-vous sur la position à supprimer avec les touches gauche/bas ou
droite/haut et appuyez sur la touche “confermatin - V” pendant 3 secondes jusqu’à ce que le message
“Channel Deleted” s’affiche).
Paramétrage de la sortie
•Sélectionnez “OUTPUT” pour régler le niveau de sortie RF entre 93dBuV et 113dBuV en fonction du
nombre de canaux gérés par la centrale FRPRO EVO HD.

•Sélectionnez “SLOPE” pour régler la pente de 0dB ou 9dB entre la fréquence la plus basse de la bande
VHF et la fréquence la plus haute de la bande UHF gérée par la station.
Paramétrage Avancé
Séléctionnez “ADVANCED” pour
-modifier le tension de télé-alimentation (“DC VOLTAGE” 12V ou 24V disponible seulement pour les
entrées VHF/UHF).
-pour la mise à jour du fimrware
-pour gérer la carte mémoire SD . Sélectionnez “UPGRADE” pour le formatage, téléchargement ou
sauvegarde de la configuration.
sélectionnez “EXIT” pour verrouiller/déverrouiller la station FRPRO EVO HD et pour choisir le code PIN
“LOCK CODE”.

INSTRUCTIONS POUR L’INSTALLATION
•Le produit doit être installé dans des locaux secs à l’intérieur des bâtiments et ne doit pas être exposé aux éclaboussures d’eau.
•L’humidité et les gouttes de condensation peuvent endommager le produit. En cas de présence de condensation, avant d’utiliser le produit attendez qu’il soit
complètement sec.
•Laissez un espace suffisant autour du produit pour garantir une ventilation adéquate; la température excessive ou un réchauffement excessif du produit peuvent
compromettre le fonctionnement et la durée de vie du produit.
•Ne pas installer le produit près de sources de chaleur ou dans des endroits poussiéreux ou il pourrait entrer en contact avec des substances corrosives.
•La mise à la terre du produit doit être réalisée conformément à la norme EN 60728-11. On rappelle de bien suivre les dispositions de la norme EN 60728-11 et de
ne pas brancher le produit à la terre de protection du réseau électrique d’alimentation.
INFORMATIONS EN CAS DE PANNE
Seulement du personnel formé et autorisé peut intervenir pour la maintenance du produit. En cas de panne n’essayez pas de le réparer car la garantie sera invalidée.
