Freecast APP installation
Please scan the QR code as below or search “Freecast ” APP in APP store.
Please note that the Freecast installedIphone / IPad CPU model requires A7 and above,
and the operating system version requires iOS 8.0 and above.
Battery charge

Both the transmitter and receiver use Model No. 14500 cylindrical lithium battery.
The battery should be fully charged before it is first used.
If you use fully-charged 14500 new batteries (3.7V, 800mAh), the duration of
transmitter will be 90 minutes and the duration of receiver will be 80 minute.
After repeated charge and discharge, the batteries efficiency will reduce for
which will lead to short duration time of batteries.
Precautions:
1. The nominal voltage of lithium battery 14500 is 3.7V and the maximum capacity is
800mAh, but some of the 14500 batteries in market are exaggerated in actual battery
capacity, so please choose carefully.
2. The lithium battery 14500 needs to be used in pairs and do not mix new batteries in
use with used batteries, otherwise it will be shorten the use life of new batteries.
How to install batteryof the
transmitter and the receiver
Please pinch the paddle on the side of the productand take out the battery box,
and please refer to the silk-screen direction in the battery box before putting
2 lithium batteries in.
That the lithium battery installed in the opposite direction will cause the product
to fail to power on,but will not cause damage to the product.
Please note!
Antenna installation of the
transmitter and the receiver
The product is provided with 4 antennas, please screw the antenna to the antenna
connector on the top of the transmitter and receiver.
Please make sure the transmitter and receiver’s antennas are vertical upwards
when using the product to ensure high transmission performance of wireless signal.
Notification!
How to install camera to the transmitter
Please use the screw lock HDMI cable supplied with this product, connect the
transmitter to Gopro Hero 5 or other cameras with HDMI output interface.

2. To pull the cover from the camera

Here is the installation instructions for connect the transmitter
to Gopro5 as following:
1. Remove the side cover of the Gopro Hero 5,then install the side cover with screw
holes which provided with this product.
2. The side cover with screw hole will be fixed after putting the Gopro Hero 5
into its frame.
3. Insert the Micro-HDMI male connector with screw lock into the Miro-HDMI
female base of Gopro Hero 5. Then put the HDMI screw into the screw hole of
the side cover and tighten it.
4. Insert the Micro-HDMI male connector with screw lock into the Miro-HDMI
female base of transmitter. then put the HDMI screw into the screw hole of
side cover and tighten it.

The receiver receives and outputs
video to TV or monitor
Please prepare another matching HDMI cable when the camera is Mini-HDMI or
standard HDMI interface.
Notification!
WIFI connection of Transmitter and receiver
1. Please press the 【power key】of the transmitter and receiver for more than 1 second,
the power indicators of both the transmitter and the receiver will on, at the same
time the power on logo will appear on the product screen. The transmitter system
start-up time is about 20 seconds. The receiver system start-up time is about 30
seconds, please be patient.
2. After the system setup, the product will perform WiFi connection, at this time the
blue WiFi indicator of the transmitter and receiver will begin to slow flash.
3. After WIFI connected, the blue WiFi indicator of the transmitter and receiver
will keep on.
The camera power on and output video
to the transmitter
After opening the camera, the camera will transmit the audio and video to the
connected transmitter via the HDMI cable.
1. Please use the attached Mini-standard HDMI cable of which one end is Mini-HDMI
male and another end is standard HDMI male. Please connect the receiver to a TV
or monitor with standard HDMI video input interface.
2. After the WIFI connection of the transmitter and receiver succeed, the receiver will
receive and decode the video stream from the transmitter in real time, and output
it to the connected TV or monitor through the HDMI line.
1. The receiver cannot be connected to the laptop via HDMI cable, because the
laptop is HDMI video output interface, and it cannot support video input.
Notification!
2. When viewing video via a TV or a monitor, the receiver will re-connect with the
transmitter if you short press the【channel switch】key on receiver, and the TV
or monitor screen will be stuck and then blank.The image will be restore after
about 40 seconds, please be patient.
Watch videos via iphone/iPad
Please find the receiver SSID which is one 15 bit character string with FREECAST_ as
prefix through the "Wi-Fi" item in the “SETTING” page of your iPhone/iPad and
click SSID to connect it. The default WiFi password is 12345678. After iphone or
ipad is connected to the receiver ’s WiFi, you can launch Freecast App and watch
images from receiver in real time. The Freecast APP Live View at the top of the page
will display the name of the SSID receiver.
Transmitter rate specification
You can choose the quality level corresponding to different transmitter video rate
settings via Freecast App. The transmission distance between the transmitter and
the receiver, and the number of clients that can be connected to the receiver
simultaneously are related to the setting of video rate.
Below is reference value in ideal conditions of indivisibility without interference.

Push flow and broadcast via Iphone or ipad
The kit allows you push the audio & video stream from the transmitter via the 4G
network of iphone or ipad (WiFi+Cellular) to Youtube, Facebook and other online
live platforms in real time, and you can set up that via Freecast App. Please enter
into the “Stream” page of the App for streaming setting.
Notification!
1. If your ipad do not support SIM card, and the live Streaming & Broadcasting feature
supported by 4G network will not be available.
2. Your iphone or ipad screen will stay on mandatorily in the process of live broadcasting.
3. If you close Freecast App in the process of live broadcasting, the live
broadcasting will stop.
Receiver switch channel to avoid signal
interference source
1. The transmitter and receiver Wi-Fi connection will not be connected when there is
a signal interference source around the product, please short press the Channel
switch key on the receiver to avoid signal interference sources if the blue Wi-Fi
indicator of the transmitter is still in a slow flash status for a long time. This product
supports CH1,CH2,CH3 and CH4 frequency channels for cyclic switching.
The receiver will display the current selected frequency point number.
2. The receiver will be re-connected with the transmitter by Wi-Fi after short pressing
the Channel Switch Key. At this point, the connection between receiver and the
iPhone/iPad will also be automatically disconnected and the iPhone/iPad may
automatically connect to other Wi-Fi hotspots. If the top of the Live View page of
the Freecast APP is not the SSID name of the receiver, please enter into iPhone/iPad's
"Setting-WiFi”page for reconnecting.
The transmitter cannot switch the channel, the channel switching operation can only
be performed by the receiver.
Notification!
Warning for low power of lithium battery
When the lithium battery capacity is not enough, the red power indicator will blink
for warning (the screen will show the battery level as only one grid). Please take
the Lithium battery out and charge it.
The kit cannot support lithium battery charging directly via Mini-USB interface on
the transmitter and receiver.
Notification!
USB interface for emergency power supply
When the battery runs out of its power and the product requests emergency power
supply, you can adopt the affiliated two core USB power cable to connect the outside
portable battery or the affiliated 5V 2A power adapter in the package.
2. Please use the affiliated USB power cable and affiliated 5V 2A power adapter in
the package for power supply, and any issue caused by other power supplies is
not within the scope of warranty.
Notification!
1. The affiliated USB power cable in the package can be only used for power supply,
and it cannot used for data transmitting.
About the pairing of the
transmitter and receiver
The transmitter and receiver have been paired with each other when they are out of
the factory. But the transmitter and receiver will be required to be paired in the
following three cases:
Case 1:
When the Wi-Fi password has been changed via Freecast App, it needs to be
re-paired with the transmitter.

Case 2:
When the receiver needs to be restored the default Wi-Fi password,
it needs to be re-paired with the transmitter (as to the detailed operation instruction,
please see above).
Case 3:
The transmitter and the receiver need to be re-paired if anyone is replaced in case
of loss or damage.
The following is the operation of the transmitter
and receiver pairing:
1. Please long press the Pairing Key of the receiver and the transmitter for more
than 3 seconds separately, and then the blue WiFi lights of the transmitter and the
receiver will flash rapidly which indicates that the transmitter and the receiver are
into the pairing status; and this process lasts about 10 seconds. when the blue WiFi
indicators both the transmitter and receiver keep on, it is indicating that the
transmitter and the receiver have completed the pairing process and implemented
the Wi-Fi connection.
2. If the blue WiFi indicators both the transmitter and the receiver are still flashing
rapidly for a long time, it is indicating that the pairing process is not successful.
Please reboot thetransmitter and the receiver separately, and then repeat the
above pairing process.
Do not long press the Pairing Key of the transmitter under normal use of the product,
since it will cause the Wi-Fi reconnecting between the transmitter and the receiver.

Restore default Wi-Fi password of receiver
The Wi-Fi password of receiver can be customized by the Free-cast App. If you forget
the password, long press the Reset Key on the right side of the receiver for more than 3
seconds to restart the receiver, then pair the transmitter and the receiver. when the
blue WiFi indicators both the transmitter and receiver keep on, it is indicating that the
transmitter and the receiver have completed the pairing process and implemented
the Wi-Fi connection, and then the Wi-Fi password of the receiver has been restored
to the default value as 12345678.
