1. SETUP
Connect power cord and turn on the charger via the switch at the
rear of the unit. The charger will flash through a self test to verify
proper operation.
2. AUTO FAST CHARGE
Insert a battery into the top NP1 port, Brick adapter or front BP-90
port. Charging will begin automatically indicated by the flashing
yellow “Charge” LED.
IMPORTANT: BP-90 front port bypasses the top battery connec-
tor.
When charging is complete, the green “Ready” LED will come on.
The battery may remain on the charger until needed. The M1000
will supply a maintenance charge to keep the battery topped off until
ready for use.
Note 1: If the red “10V” LED flashes, this indicates a low voltage
situation and the “Rescue” program should be engaged. See
below.
Note 2: If the red “Fault” LED comes on, the battery is faulty or has
anomalous characteristics.
3. DISCHARGE
To engage the discharge function, press the “Discharge” button.
The orange LED will flash indicating that discharge is in progress. At
the end of the discharge cycle and a 15 minute rest period, the unit
will automatically switch to the charge cycle.
4. RESCUE
The M1000 has a unique Rescue mode designed to restore abused,
low capacity, or over-discharged batteries. If a battery begins to
show signs of poor performance, or low voltage is indicated, the
battery rescue mode should be engaged by pressing the “Rescue”
button. While engaged, the orange “Rescue” LED will flash. The
rescue process could take a long as 20 hours, so it is recommended
to run it overnight or over a weekend.

3. PROTECTION CIRCUITS
OVERLOAD
This unit can supply approximately 40 Watts of energy to a load. If
a red “10V” LED flashes, the maximum power output has been
reached and the overload protection has engaged. Remove or
reduce the load to return to normal operation.
OVER-VOLTAGE
This unit is set to 13.5 Volts DC output. If the red FAULTY LED
burns steady during the Power Supply mode, the unit experienced
an over-voltage condition which was greater then 16.5 Volts. Reset
the unit by switching back to the charger mode to clear the over-
voltage condition. If the condition continues, the unit is in need of
servicing and should sent back to the Frezzi service center.

To quickly boost a low voltage battery, press the “Rescue” button
and wait for the voltage to rise above 12 Volts. Remove the battery
and wait for the “Rescue” light to stop flashing. Reinsert the
battery and confirm that Charging has begun. Repeat the above
steps if the low voltage condition continues or let the Rescue
program run a full overnight cycle.
POWER SUPPLY OPERATION (M1000P or M1000AP ONLY)
The M1000P is equipped with a 40 Watt DC power supply. The
power supply features an output overload protection and over-
voltage protection. When the power supply is engaged, all charger
operation is suspended until the unit is switched back to the charger
mode. At this point, charging operation will continue from the point
at which the charge mode was interrupted.
1. SETUP
Connect an XLR-4 DC power cable to the side mount XLR-4 Power
