Warning:
High temps are no joke. Is your munchkin just a bit flushed or is this a full-blown fever fest? You need
answers RIGHT. NOW. And we’re here in the trenches with you. That’s where our 3-in-1 True Temp
Thermometer comes in, with rectal, oral and armpit reading functions. It gives you both a 10-second quick
read and a 30-second final read with a single insertion.
Taking a temp rectally is the only way to go with babies up to one year and is recommended by the AAP as
the best method until age three. Middle of the night fever fears? No problem. The built-in LED light lets you
see where you’re going and what you’re doing. (Important for rectal readings…) Worried about going too
deep? The insertion stopper’s got you covered. Can’t remember what your little one’s temp was an hour
ago? Memory Mode to the rescue!
We’ve thought of it all so that you don’t have to.

Taking baby’s temperature with a 10 or 30-Second reading:
7. Press the Power Button to turn off. This can be done at any point during a reading.
6. Wait a minimum of one minute before attempting a new measurement.
8. Remember to sanitize the thermometer before and after all readings, especially if you are using it both rectally and orally.
Insert the thermometer into the appropriate body
part based on the mode setting (“rct,” “orl,” “udr”).
Screen will show a loading “wheel” while registering
the temperature.
30-Second read: Final temperature check
Keep the thermometer inserted. The screen will
continue to flash for another 20 seconds.
Once 30 seconds have passed, the reading is
complete. The thermometer will beep and display
the final temperature reading.
The thermometer will beep and flash a temperature
reading after 10 seconds.
**Normal body temperature / Fever indicator
Body temperature can vary
from 97°F and 100.0°F and still
be considered normal. The
medically accepted ‘normal’
body temperature is 98.6°F
Body temperature is commonly
lower in the upon waking than
at any point during the rest of
an individual’s waking hours.
Temperature readings will vary
based on the body location point of
the reading. Oral temperature
readings between 97°F (36.1°C) and
100°F (37.7°C) are considered
normal. A rectal temperature reading
is generally 1°F (0.5°C) higher; while
an underarm, or axillary,
temperature will be 1°F (0.5°C) lower.
A fever is defined as a body temperature that
is elevated above the normal for that person.
It is important to determine what is normal for
an individual before determining if a fever is
present. Tracking an individual’s temperature
on a consistent basis, at the same body site
and at the same time every day when the
person is well or healthy will help determine
an individual’s normal temperature.
Do not dispose of used batteries in the trash. Consult your
local recycling center for the proper way to dispose of
batteries in your area. Keep used batteries away from
children, pets and excessive heat.
The measured temperature is
above 109.2°F (42.9°C).

1. Press the Power Button to turn the thermometer on. 2. Your last temperature reading will show on the LCD
screen.
Call your child's doctor right away if your child has a fever and:
Is younger than 3 months (12 weeks) and has a temperature of 100.4°F (38.0°C) or higher.
If, at any age, the fever rises above 104°F (40°C) repeatedly.
Directions
For Rectal Use:
For Oral or Underarm Use:
We want the best for you and your fam. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that for at least
the first year of baby’s life (though up to three is best), temp checks should only be done rectally. That’s why our
thermometer defaults to Rectal (“rct”).
Confirm that the thermometer is in the correct mode: Oral (“orl”) or Underarm (“udr”).
(See below to CHANGE MODE.)
Press the white probe button on the side and flip the tip into oral/underarm mode.
Oral (recommended only for ages four and up):Place the thermometer tip under tongue.
Underarm: Place the thermometer probe with tip in armpit and keep arm firmly pressed against side.
Note: To ensure an accurate temperature, always wait for the 30-second reading in underarm mode
(the 10-second reading may not be reliable due to environmental factors, like air temperature).
Confirm that the thermometer is still in Rectal (“rct”) mode. (See below to CHANGE MODE.)
Before inserting the thermometer, lubricate the silver tip. We suggest coconut oil or other natural lubricants.
Press against the small bump on the thermometer probe to turn on the LED light for easy visibility.
Then, lift baby’s legs and gently insert the thermometer tip up to the insertion stopper.
Do not insert past the point where you feel resistance (usually from baby’s lower cheeks).
Battery replacement
1. Replace battery when “ ” appears in the lower right corner of LCD display.
2. Pull Battery door off and open Battery chamber.
3. Discard battery lawfully. Replace with new 3.0V DC button type CR2032, or equivalent.
4. Slide battery chamber back into place and attach battery door.
Operation outside stated temperature and humidity range.
Storage outside stated temperature and humidity range.
Mechanical shock.
Patient temperature is below ambient temperature.
Cleaning and disinfection
Do not use benzene, thinner, gasoline or other strong solvents to clean the thermometer.
Do not attempt to disinfect the sensing section (tip) of the thermometer by immersing in alcohol or in hot water (water
over 122°F / 50°C).
Do not use ultrasonic washing to clean the thermometer.
Wipe the thermometer with a soft clean cloth. For stubborn stains, wipe the thermometer with a cloth that has
been dampened with water or a neutral detergent and wipe thoroughly. Finish by wiping with a soft dry cloth.
For disinfection, 75% Ethanol or Isopropyl alcohol can be used.
Observe the following to prevent damage to the thermometer.
Change mode: The thermometer defaults to rectal (“rct”) mode.
To change from current setting:
1. Turn it on and wait for the screen to light up.
2. Hold the button for 3 seconds when the mode (“rct,” “orl,” “udr”) flashes.
3. Press the button once to scroll to next mode. Once on
preferred mode, wait 3 seconds for the thermometer to
register the selected mode OR press the button for 3
seconds to confirm selection and proceed with the reading.
In order to achieve the most accurate results, always use the thermometer in the mode that corresponds with the
method you will use: Rectal (“rct”), Oral (“orl”), or Underarm (“udr”).
“rct”– Rectal
“orl”– Oral
“udr”– Underarm
Change unit: To change from Fahrenheit (°F) to Celsius
(°C), turn it on, when the last temp reading flashes, hold
the button for 3 seconds. Press button once to scroll to
next mode. Once on preferred mode, press button for 3
seconds to confirm selection.
