ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE AM-15
BACK SEAT
*NOTE:
A TENON
B MORTISE HOLE
RIGHT END FRAME LEFT END FRAME
STEP-I
Unpack, inspect and lay the parts on a clean, flat, soft surface to avoid marring the wood.
NOTE: During assembly of the furniture please match all joints with the corresponding letters
or numbers stamped on the furniture.
STEP-II
Find the END FRAME with numbers stamped next to the mortise holes
and carefully lay it down. Matching the numbers, gently slide the BACK
STRETCHER, BOTTOM LEG STRETCHER and the SEAT into place. If
necessary, gently rock the parts while pushing the tenons into the mortise
holes until joints fit snugly together.
STEP-III
Carefully fit the remaining END FRAME mortise holes over and onto the
remaining SEAT, BACK STRETCHER and BOTTOM LEG
STRETCHER tenons as shown in the assembly photo.
STEP-IV
Using a hammer, drive the dowels into the END FRAMES
to secure the SEAT and BOTTOM LEG STRETCHER. We
suggest that you use a block of wood between the hammer
and the dowel head for the last few blows. This will reduce
the chances of marring the wood.

STEP-V
Again, using a hammer, drive the remaining dowels to secure the BACK
STRETCHER to the END FRAMES as seen in the photograph.
STEP-VI
Carefully slide the BACK into place as
shown in the photograph. Secure the
BACK to the BACK STRETCHER by
using a proper screwdriver and the
wood screws provided. Cover the holes
with the teak plugs provided.
NOTE: USE OF A POWER SCREWDRIVER MAY STRIP THE WOOD, PLEASE USE A
HAND HELD SCREWDRIVER FOR STEP-VI.
STEP-VII
Tip the chair onto its front legs and secure the BACK to the SEAT with the
knock down bolts provided. Again, please use a proper screwdriver. A
power screwdriver or a drill with a screwdriver bit could cause damage to
the chair. DO NOT FORCE DOWELS FURTHER THAN THEY WANT
TO GO. Any protruding dowels, can easily be sanded away.
