NOTE: 1. LFP (Link Fault Pass Through) Function: If enabled, when a
device is connected to the converter and the TP/ber line loses the
link, the converter's ber will disconnect the link of transmit.
2. ALS (Automatic Laser Shutdown) Function: If enabled, the output
power of the SFP transmitter will be automatically shut down in case of
ber break.
3. FX Reset: If enabled, when the FX link is down, the power will shut
down, but a few seconds later the power will restart automatically.

Installation Requirement
Do not operate it in an area that exceeds an ambient temperature
of 50°C.
The installation site should be well-ventilated.
Be sure that the converter is level and stable to avoid any hazardous
conditions.
Do not install the equipment in a dusty environment.
The installation site must be free from leaking or dripping water,
heavy dew, and humidity.

1. Install the mounting brackets on the left rear side of the
converter with two screws.

2. Install the converters onto the chassis in sequence (rst install
the lower level, then the upper level). Each converter can be xed
tightly in the chassis by two screws.
3. Place the chassis into the rack. Align the brackets of the chasis
to the side holes on the rack and secure the chassis to the rack
with screws.

Connecting the RJ45 Port
1. Connect a network cable to the RJ45 port of the converter.
2. Connect the other end of the network cable to the network
device (switch, PC, router, etc.).

Connecting the SC Port
NOTE: The converter is installed with the transceiver with SC
connector as default.
Connect one end of a ber optic cable to the SC port and the other
end to the ber network. TX and RX must be paired at both ends.

Connecting the Power
Desk Mounting: Connect one end of the power adapter to the
converter and the other end to the power source. Then verify that
the power LED lights up.

Troubleshooting
Rack Mounting: Connect the chassis power cord to the chassis
and turn on the power switch on the back of the chassis. Then
verify that the power LED lights up.
The per Port LED Is Not Lit
Check the cable connection of the converter.
Performance Is Bad
Check the speed duplex mode of the partner device. The
converter usually runs in auto-negotiation mode. If the partner is
set to half duplex, the performance will be poor.
Per Port LED Is Lit, but the Trac Is Irregular
Check that the attached device is not set to dedicate full duplex.
Some devices use a physical or software switch to change duplex
modes. Auto-negotiation may not recognize this type of full-duplex
setting.

The Media Converter Doesn’t Connect to the Network
Check per port LED on the converter. Make sure the cable is
installed properly. Make sure the cable is the right type. Turn o
the power. After a while, turn on the power again.

HINWEIS: 1. LFP (Link Fault Pass Through) Funktion: Wenn diese
Funktion aktiviert ist, unterbricht die Faser des Konverters die
Verbindung, wenn ein Gerät an den Konverter angeschlossen ist und
die TP/Faserleitung die Verbindung verliert.
2. ALS (Automatic Laser Shutdown) Funktion: Wenn diese Funktion
aktiviert ist, wird die Ausgangsleistung des SFP-Senders im Falle eines
Faserbruchs automatisch abgeschaltet.

Installationsanforderungen
Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht in einem Bereich, in dem die
Umgebungstemperatur 50 °C übersteigt.
Der Aufstellungsort muss gut belüftet sein.
Achten Sie darauf, dass der Konverter eben und stabil steht, um
gefährliche Situationen zu vermeiden.
Installieren Sie das Gerät nicht in einer staubigen Umgebung.
Der Aufstellungsort muss frei von austretendem oder tropfendem
Wasser, starkem Tau und Feuchtigkeit sein.

1. Montieren Sie die Montagewinkel mit zwei Schrauben an der
linken Rückseite des Konverters.

2. Montieren Sie die Konverter nacheinander auf das Chassis
(zuerst die untere Ebene, dann die obere Ebene). Jeder Konverter
kann mit zwei Schrauben fest im Chassis xiert werden.
3. Setzen Sie das Chassis in das Rack ein. Richten Sie die
Montagewinkel des Chassis an den seitlichen Löchern des Racks
aus und befestigen Sie das Chassis mit Schrauben am Rack.
