powerful, multi-functional ash unit from FUJIFILM.
When using the ash, refer to both this guide and the

Using the Flash
Do not pick up the camera by the ash. The ash may slip
from the hot shoe, causing the camera to fall.
The LED video light is intended only to provide lighting for
the camera and should not be used for other purposes.
Remove the batteries immediately after immersion in water
or in the event that water or metal objects nd their way into
the product. Failure to observe this precaution could result in
re or electric shock.

Introduction
The EF-X500
This powerful, multi-functional ash unit features
support for i-TTL ash control, FP (high-speed sync),
and optical wireless remote control.
The EF-X500 can be controlled remotely via optical wireless
ash control or mounted on the camera hot shoe for use
as a stand-alone ash unit or as a master ash controlling
remote FUJIFILM ash units via optical wireless control.
The following features are available when the unit is
mounted on an X-series camera with a hot shoe.

The EF-X500
Flash Placement
When using the FUJIFILM optical wire-
less remote ash control system, orient
the remote units with their optical re-
ceivers facing the master unit and rotate
the ash heads to the desired angles.
Receiver
The ash can control remote ash units in up to three
groups (A, B, and C), each of which may contain multiple
ash units.

trol are as shown. Range may be reduced by obstacles or
interference from sunlight or other light sources.
