To reduce the risk of burn injuries during

A spill on a burner can smother all or part of the flame or

and check operation. If burner is operating normally, turn

designed to be a safe, reliable appliance. Read all
instructions carefully before using this range.
These precautions will reduce the risk of burns,
electric shock, fire, and injury to yourself and
others. When using kitchen appliances, basic
safety precautions must be followed, including
the following:

• BE CAREFUL TO PREVENT BURNS. If the flames do not

DEPARTMENT.
• Do not use water, including wet dishcloths or towels on
grease fires.A violent steam explosion may result.
• NEVERPICKUPAFLAMINGPAN.Youmaybeburned.
• ALWAYShave a working SMOKE DETECTOR near the
kitchen.
• LEAVE THE HOOD VENTILATOR ON when flambéing
food.
• Donotobstructtheflowofcombustionairattheovenvent
nor around the base or beneath the lower front panel of
the range. Avoid touching the vent openings or nearby
surfaces as they may become hot while the oven is in
operation.Thisrangerequiresfreshairforproperburner
combustion.
• NEVER cover any slots, holes or passages in the oven
or cover an entire rack with aluminum foil. Doing so
blocks air flow through the oven and may cause carbon
monoxide poisoning. Aluminum foil linings may also trap
heat, causing a fire hazard.
• NEVER use this appliance as a space heater to heat or
warmtheroom.Doingsomayresultin carbonmonoxide
poisoning and overheating the oven.

• Duringcooking,settheburnercontrolsothattheflameheats
onlythebottom of the pan anddoesnotextendbeyondthe
bottom of the pan.
• Takecarethatdraftslikethosefromfansorforcedairvents
do not blow flammable material toward the flames or push
theflamessothattheyextendbeyondtheedgesofthepan.
• Always position handles of utensils inward so they do not
extend over adjacent work areas, burners, or the edge of
the cooktop.
• Wear proper apparel. Loose fitting garments or hanging
sleeves should never be worn whilecooking.
• Neverletclothing,potholders,orotherflammablematerials
comein contact with hot burners or hot burnergrates.
• Use only certain types of glass, heatproof glass ceramic,
ceramic, earthenware, or other glazed utensils that are
suitable for cooktop use.
• Do notclean thecooktop while it is still hot. Somecleaners
produce noxious fumes when applied to a hot surface.
To reduce the risk of fire in the oven cavity:
1. Do not store flammable materials in or near theoven.
2. Donotusewateronagreasefire.Smotherfireor useadry
chemical or foam-type extinguisher.
3. It is highlyrecommendedthat a fireextinguisherbe readily
available and highly visible next to any cookingappliance.
4. Do not overcook food. Carefully attend oven if paper,
plasticor othercombustible materialsareplacedinsidethe
oven.
5. Do not use the cavity for storage purposes. Do not leave
paperproducts,cookingutensilsor foodin the cavity when
not being used.
6. If materials inside the oven should ignite, keep oven door
closed.Turnovenoffanddisconnectthecircuitatthecircuit
breaker box.
7. Do not block any vent openings.
8. Be sure the blower fan runs whenever the oven is in
operation.If thefandoesnotoperate,donotusetheoven.
Call an authorized service center.
9. For personal safety, wear proper clothing. Loose fitting or
garmentswithhangingsleevesshouldneverbe wornwhile
using this appliance.

Do not allow aluminium foil, plastic, paper or cloth to come
in contact with hot burners or grates. Do not allow pans to
boil dry.
CAUTION
Donotstoreitemsofinteresttochildrenabovetheappliance.
If children should climb onto the appliance to reach these
items, they could be seriouslyinjured.

• Tie long hair so that it doesn’t hangloose.
• Do not touch interior surfaces ofoven.
• During and after use, do not touch or let clothing or other
flammable materials contact the burners or the interior
surfacesoftheovenuntiltheyhavehadsufficienttimetocool.
Othersurfacesoftheappliancemaybecomehotenoughto
cause burns - among these surfaces are (identification of
surfaces - for example, oven vent openings and surfaces
near these openings, oven doors, and windows of oven
doors).
• Thetrimonthetopandsidesoftheovendoormaybecome
hot enough to cause burns.
• Use care when opening the door. Open the door slightly
to lethotairor steamescape beforeremovingor replacing
food.
• Donotheatunopenedfoodcontainers.Build-upofpressure
may cause the container toburst and cause injury.
• Always place oven racks in desired location while oven is
cool. If a rack must be moved while oven is hot, donot let
pot holder contact the hot burners.
• Use only dry pot holders. Moist or damp pot holders on
hotsurfacesmayresultin burnsfromsteam.Do notletpot
holder touch burners. Do not use a towel or other bulky
cloth.
Warnings for Gas and Electric Installation
In case of Propane gas installation
The appliance is produced ready for use with natural gas. It
maybeconvertedfor usewithpropanegasusingthepropane
conversion kit supplied with the appliance.
Besuretheunitbeinginstallediscorrectforthetypeofgasbeing
used.Refertotheratingplate(seeInstallationInstructions).
In case of electrical failure
If for any reason a gas control knob is turnedON and there is
no electric power to operate the electronic igniter of the cook
top, turn OFF all gas control knobs and wait 5 minutes for the
gas to dissipate before lighting the burnermanually.
Tolight the burner manually, carefully hold a lighted match to
the burner ports and push and turn the gas control knob to HI
untilit lights and then turn the knob to desired setting.
Installation and service must be performed by a qualified
installer, service agency or the gas supplier.
WARNING
• Always disconnect the electrical plug from the wall
receptacle before servicing this unit.
• For personal safety, this appliance must be properly
grounded.
• Do not under any circumstances cut or remove thethird
(ground) prong from the power cord plug..

• For properlightingandperformanceoftheburners,keep
the igniters clean and dry.
• Intheeventthataburnergoesoutandgasescapes,open
a window or a door.Wait at least 5 minutes before using
the cooktop.
• Donotobstructtheflowofcombustionandventilationair.
• Do notuse aluminiumfoil to line any part of thecooktop.
• If the range cookers is near a window, be certain blow
over or near the burners; they could catch on fire.
WARNING
When connecting the unit to propane gas, make certain
the propane tank is equipped with its own high pressure
regulator. In addition, the pressure regulator supplied with
the appliance must be on the inlet gas pipe of this unit.

Cooling Fan
Thefanis situatedin the mechanicalspacebetweentheoven
and the cooktop and creates a circulation of cooling air inside
this space which exhausts through the opening between
the instrument panel and the oven door on the front of the
appliance. It turns on automatically when the threshold of
internalthermostatsisreachedinordertokeepthedoorglass,
internal components and the electronics cool ensuring along
life of comfortable, worry-free operation.
It should normally come on at some point during oven
operation and will continue to operate after the appliance has
been turned off until an ideal temperature is achieved within
the mechanical space.
Itisalsopossiblethatthiscoolingfanmayoperatewhenusing
onlythecooktop ifhightemperaturecookingis beingdonefor
extended periods of time on multipleburners.
If you notice that the fan is not working at all during oven
operation contact service immediately.
Convection Fan
The convection fan operates during any convection mode.
When the oven is operating in the convection mode, the fan
will turn off automatically when the door is opened.
Oven Light
The oven light is normally off and will turn on when the door
is opened. The light can be turned ON/OFF by the Light key.
Rear Oven Vent
Thewarmairfromtheovenisexhaustedthroughventslocated
attherearofthecooktop.Asanenergysavingfeature,theoven
lightwillturnoffautomaticallyafter15secondsof pressingthe
‘LIGHT’ buttononthedisplay.Donotallowtheairflowfromthe
rear vents to be obstructed by cookware or towels.
Prior to First Use
Toensure all residual oil from the manufacturing processhas
been removed, each oven must go through the following
procedure.
1. Cleanoventhoroughlywithhotwaterandamilddetergent.
Rinse and dry with a softcloth.
2. Turn on ventilation. Some smoke and odor isnormal.
3. Setoventemperatureto 250 F (120 C) andallowoven to
heat for 1 hour.
4. Setoventemperatureto 500 F (260 C) andallowoven to
heat for an additional hour.
5. Turnoven off and allow it to cool with the doorclosed.

Preheating the Oven
• Preheat the oven when using the Bake, Convection Bake
and Broil modes.
• Selectingahighertemperaturedoesnotshortenthepreheat
time.
• Preheatingisnecessaryforgoodresultswhenbakingcakes,
cookies, pastry and breads.
• Preheatingwillhelptosearroastsand sealin meatjuices.
• Placeovenracksintheirproperpositionbeforepreheating.
• There is no light or chime indication that the oven has
reached the set temperature.

• Do not set pans on the open ovendoor.
• Use the interior oven lights to view the food through the
ovendoor windowratherthan opening the doorfrequently.
• Youcansettheminutetimerusingthepreheattimingchart
above to let you know when the oven is preheated to the
set temperature.
Utensils
• Glassbakingdishesabsorbheat.Reduceoventemperature
25 F (15 C) when baking in glass.
• Usepansthatgive thedesiredbrowning.Thetype of finish
onthepanwill helpdeterminetheamountofbrowningthat
will occur.
• Shiny, smooth metal or light non-stick / anodized pans
reflect heat, resulting in lighter, more delicatebrowning.
Cakesand cookiesrequirethistypeofcookware.
• Dark, rough or dull pans will absorb heat resulting in a
browner, crisper crust. Use this type forpies.
• For brown, crisp crusts, use dark non-stick / anodized
or dark, dull metal utensils or glass bake ware. Insulated
baking pans may increase the length of cookingtime.
• Do not cook with the empty broiler pan in the oven, as
thiscould changecookingperformance.Storethe broilpan
outside of the oven.
Oven Condensation and Temperature
• It is normal for a certain amount of moisture to evaporate
from the food during any cooking process. The amount
dependsonthemoisturecontent of the food. Themoisture
maycondense on anysurface cooler than the inside of the
oven, such as the controlpanel.
High Altitude Baking
• When cooking at high altitude, recipes and cooking time
will vary from the standard.
Oven Racks
• The oven has rack guides at six levels as shown in the
illustration on Page 6.
• Rack positions are numbered from the bottom rack guide
(#1) to the top (#6).
• Each level guide consists of paired supports formed inthe
walls on each side of the ovencavity.
• Always be sure to position the oven racks before turning
on theoven. Makesurethattheracksarelevel and secure
once they are in position.
Please refer to illustration on Page 6 if there
is any question as to which side is the front of the
rack.
• Theracksaredesignedtostopwhenpulledforwardtotheir
limit.

6 - General Oven Tips
Never use aluminum foil to cover the oven racks or to line
the oven. It can cause damage to the oven liner if heat is
trapped under the foil.
CAUTION
Make sure you do not force it to avoid damage
to the enamel.

To remove oven rack from the oven:
1. Pull rack forward Please refer to illustration on Page 6 if there is any question
as to which side is the front of the rack.
To remove extendable rack from the oven:
1. Liftof rackslightlyandpushit towardsthebackoftheoven
until the stop releases.
2. Lift rack up at front and then remove it
2. Raise back of rack until frame and stop clear rack guide
To replace an oven rack:
1. Place rear of rack between rack level guides
3. Pull rack down and out
2. While lifting front of rack, slide rack in all the way while
lowering the front
To replace an extendable rack:
1. Grasp rack firmly on both sides. Place rack (including
frame) above desired rack guide
Oven Telescopic Racks
• The telescopic rack allows for easier access to cooking
foods for repetitive activities such as basting. It extends
beyond the standard flat rack bringing the food closer to
the user.
2. Pushallthewayinuntilthebackoftherackdropsintoplace
NOTE: Always remove the extendable rack before self-
cleaning the oven.
3. Pullbothsections forwarduntilstopsactivate.Rackshould
be straight and flat, not crooked
Toavoid burns, pull rack all the way out and lift pan above
handle when transferring food to and from oven.
CAUTION

Time settings
Setting the clock
“12:00” will start flashing when the unit is switched on for the
first time.
To set the clock, press “+” or “-“ to set the correct time. Wait
untilabeeptellsyouthattheclockhasbeenset.Tosetthetime
at a later stage, press “TIME” once, the is displayed then
adjust the clock as described above.
NOTE: only 12 hrs settingavailable.
Minute Counter
Theminutecounterdoesnotcontroltheoven,whenitfinishes
counting the oven will continue to operate.
To set, press the “TIME” button until the icon appears,
“0:00” willstartflashing.Press+ and- tosettherequiredtime.
Tosettheminutecounteratalaterstage,pressthe“TIME” and
adjust as described above.
Theminutecounterbeepswhenitfinishescounting.
Todisable it, set the time to the 0:00.

Delayed Cooking
Selectthe desiredcookingmode,pressthe “FUNC” keyonce,

duration of cooking, then press the “FUNC” key again,
is displayed,then pressthe “+” or “-“keysto settheto setthe
time at which you want the oven to switchoff.
Whenyoufinishsettingthesetimes,the symbolisdisplayed,
thecooking willstartautomatically basedon the durationtime
setting and the end time setting. For example, you want your
dishto cookfor 2 hours at 350 F and be done at 6pm: setthe
oven on bake or convection bake (whichever you desire), set
the ‘dur’ time to 2:00 and set the ‘End’ to 6:00pm. Leave the
control knobs where you set them. The oven will come on at
350 F at 4:00pm and turn off at 6:00pm. A buzzer will sound
when the cooking period finishes and the oven switches itself
off.
Once complete, and before the oven can be used again, turn
thethermostatandselectorknobsback to OFFposition.
Cancelling a Cooking Program
Tocancel a cooking program, simply rotate the functionknob
to the OFF position.
Cooking Functions
BAKE & CONV. BAKE
The temperatureshowedon the displaycanbe availableonly
in Fahrenheit with increments of 10F:
• ThetemperaturevalueinBROILfunctionisfixedandcannot
bechanged,thetemperatureondisplayshowsMAX
even if the thermostat knob isrotated.
• The temperature in BAKE & CONV. BAKE modes can be
set by the dedicated temperature setting knob with the
following temperature ranges:
Fahrenheit °F (min/max) from 120°F to 550°F
During the preheat period the icon F will blink until the set
temperature has been reached and the buzzer sounds with a
long beep indicating that the oven is nowpreheated.
PIZZA FUNCTION
ThisovenincludesaspecialPIZZAcookingmode,thisfunction
isavailableonlywhenthefunctionknobispositionedinCONV.
BAKE. The set temperature will be fixed at 590 F (310 C).
DEHYDRATE FUNCTION
When using the dehydrate function, only the convection fan
will operate, there will be no heat added and the display will
show three dashes ---.
Special Functions
SABBATH MODE FUNCTION
Available by pressing the TIME key for 5 seconds only when
the function knob is in BAKE position.
SETTING SABBATH MODE
1 Rotate selector to BAKE and turn knob to select desired
temperature.
2 Touch and hold TIME for 5 seconds. “ ” will appear
and flash on oven control knob indicating Sabbath mode
hasbeeninitiated.Fromthispointit isnolongerpossibleto

TO SET OVEN TIMED COOK IN SABBATH
1 Repeat step 1.

TheNovabroilerisatubebroilerthatemploysastainlesssteel
heatdispersionmeshthatwhenexposedtoflame,heatsupto
thepointthatitglowsandemitsintheelectromagneticspectrum
providing intense, searing heat beyond what a standard gas
burner can achieveto itemsbeingbroiled. Infraredheat is not
affectedbythethermodynamictendencyforheattoriseasitis
directional, travels through air unaffected and is absorbed by
the food item below it.
Convection Mode Benefits
Theconvectionfanfunctionturnedon togetherwiththestrong
heatcoming fromthebottom burnermakesit possibleto cook
foods more evenly and delicately than with the bottom burner
alone.
Cooking is faster than in a traditional oven. The system is
suitable for cooking foods of different types (fish, meat, etc.)
on multiple levels.
Pre-heatingisnotnecessarywhenusingconvectionmodesbut
is still recommended for baking.
With this convection cooking method, you can operate the
oven in the normal way and follow the instructions in recipe
books.
The food to be cooked should preferably be placed centrally
within the oven.
If your ignition experience does not relate the description
aboveorwillnotigniteafterseveralattemptsturnoffthegas
supply to the oven and contactservice.
