INSTALLATION
Mounting to a wall
Use the supplied coach screws (9) to mount the air hose reel to the wall. If
mounting to concrete, brick or masonry walls, use the supplied wall plugs (10)
as well.
There are many alternative positions in which the unit can be placed. The
key point is subject to what is convenient for the user. The most appropriate
position is to mount it on a wall horizontally near to the air source.
The pivot tube (5) on the air hose reel
connects the reel and wall mounting
bracket (6) (fig. 1), allowing the reel to swivel
180°. The length of air hose ranges from
0-20m.
1. Select a suitable position to mount your
air hose reel, around 800mm from the wall
mounting bracket (6) to the floor (fig. 2).
2. Place the wall mounting bracket (6)
against the wall and mark the location of
the 4 holes to be drilled. For best results,
use a spirit level (not included), align the
hole marks horizontally. If mounting to
concrete, brick or masonry walls, drill the
holes with a (12mm) masonry drill bit (not
included) and insert the wall plugs (10).
Screw the wall mounting bracket (6) to
the wall with the coach screws (9) (fig. 3).
3. Align the holes on the back of the hose
reel housing (3) with the holes in the wall
mounting bracket (6) and insert the pivot
tube (5) to mount the air hose reel on the wall mounting bracket (6).
4. Connect the inlet hose (7) to the air source. Apply thread sealing tape (not
included) to all air fittings.

OPERATION
Using the Air Hose Reel
Read the next section carefully to understand how the automatic lock
functions.
Note: The automatic lock will engage at any time while the ratchet is clicking,
around every 300mm.
1. Slowly and firmly pull out the air hose (1) to the required length. A “clicking”
noise will be heard as you do so.
2. To lock the air hose (1) in position, allow the air hose (1) to retract slowly and
gently release the tension on the air hose (1).
3. To retract, simply pull the air hose (1) until the “clicking” noise stops,
approximately 300mm, and then allow the hose to slowly retract. Give a
short pull to lock again. To fully retract, guide the air hose (1) retract until the
hose stopper (2) reaches the hose reel housing (3).
Note: If the air hose (1) does not retract properly, extend the air hose fully and
let it slowly retract.
WARNING! To avoid injury and damage, always firmly hold the air hose
(1) while it is retracting.

8
MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Before cleaning your retractable air hose reel or carrying
out any maintenance procedure, disconnect any air tools, accessories
and air compressors from the hoses.
Cleaning
•Keep the air hoses and hose reel housing (3) free of dust and dirt. Wipe it
down with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
•Always keep the air hose (1) clean. Clean it with a damp cloth before
retracting it back into the hose reel housing (3).
•Clean the hose reel housing (3) regularly with a damp cloth. Do not use
cleaning agents or solvents; these may be aggressive to the plastic parts.
Ensure that no water can get into the interior of the hose reel housing.
Storage
•Disconnect any air tools, accessories and air compressors. Clean the hose
and housing, retract it into the reel and make sure it is not accessible to
unauthorised persons.
Note: The retractable air hose reel warranty does not cover components that
have been subjected to operator abuse or negligence. To receive full value
from the warranty, the operator must maintain the retractable air hose reel as
