SAFETY & WARRANTY
Read the complete safety and warranty instructions provided together with the device before using.
Please protect the instrument from dust and moisture.
Keep it clean and dry to avoid reducing the accuracy.
If you don’t use the instrument for a long time, please remove the battery.
Reinstall the probe cover [A] after measurement.
Keep the instrument out of child’s reach for safety.
Never discard the battery into fire. Never short battery.
Some factors such as material type and temperature can affect moisture measurement result and may make it necessary to correct
the display value. Don’t use the instrument in the case of inspections or for reference purposes.
OPERATING
1 INSTALLING BATTERY
1.1 Open the battery cover [E] with the appropriate screwdriver.
1.2 Insert 4 pieces of 1.5V battery or AAA battery or equivalent.
1.3 Close the battery cover [E] with the appropriate screwdriver.
When the internal battery is low, the low battery indication appears on the display. Replace the internal
battery (Steps 1.1 to 1.3).
2 MEASUREMENT OF MOISTURE CONTENT
2.1 Remove the probe cover [A].
2.2 Press the on/off button [D] to turn on the instrument.
2.3 The current environment temperature is shown on the top of the display.
- To switch the instrument between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature measurement, press and hold down the
on/off button [D] for about 3 seconds.
2.4 Drive the probes [B] into the woods or material to be measured.
- For sawn timber, paper and cardboard measurements, read the left scale and each indication bar represents 1%.
- For hardened material (mortar, concrete and plaster) measurement, read the right scale and each indication bar
represents 0.05%.
- If you remove the probes from the object after the reading remains unchanged for more than about 3 seconds, the
indication bars will flash for about 5 seconds to indicate this last measurement reading.
2.5 The instrument will automatically turn off if you have not operated the instrument for about 30 seconds.
