Operating Safety Warnings
Unless ot erwise noted, all service and adjustment s ould be performed w ile t e tilt commode is unoccupied.
To determine and establis your particular safety limits, practice bending, reac ing and transferring activities in
several combinations in t e presence of a qualified ealt care professional BEFORE attempting active use of t e
tilt commode.
Always verify t at t e back assembly is secure PRIOR to use w en an attendant is used to propel or lift t e tilt
commode. C eck for any signs of looseness or deterioration and if found, contact a qualified tec nician. DO
NOT attempt to move t e tilt commode by using t e back assembly is it is found to be unsecure or ave
deteriorated.
 DO NOT sit or transfer into t e commode unless it is fully open and t e commode seat assembly is properly
fastened to t e commode frame t oug t e use of clips.
 DO NOT TRAVERSE, CLIMB or GO DOWN ramps or slopes greater t an 9 degrees
 DO NOT attempt to move up or down an incline wit a water, ice or oil film
 DO NOT operate on roads, streets or ig ways

2 Front Riggings
Installing and Adjusting the Front Rigging

WARNING

Installing/Removing The Front Riggings
Installing:
1. Place t e front rigging assembly parallel to t e
commode pointing outwards.
2. Insert t e bus ing on t e commode anger into
t e top opening of t e frame front.
3. T e back cutout on t e bus ing s ould come to
rest on t e pin – w ic is welded to t e frame
front.
4. Ensure t e Front Rigging is not loose and is
‘snug’ in place
5. Repeat t is procedure wit t e ot er front
rigging assembly.

Removing:
1. Lift t e front rigging vertically up suc t at t e
anger bus ing clears t e frame front pin.
2. T e rigging s ould be placed near t e
commode so w en needed it may be placed
back onto t e commode
3. Repeat t is procedure wit t e ot er front
rigging assembly.
Adjusting Footplate Height
1. Remove t e front rigging assembly. Refer to
INSTALLING/REMOVING THE FRONT
RIGGING in t is section of t e manual.
2. Loosen t e 1/4-20 x 1/2” socket ead button
screw w ic fastens t e footrest anger to t e
footrest extension. Slide t e footrest extension
up or down to desired eig t. T ere s ould be
approximately 2-3/8” of range for t e footrest
extension.
3. Re-tig ten socket ead button screw.
4. Repeat t is procedure wit t e ot er footplate
assembly.

Removing Arm Assembly
1. Lift t e arm latc up wit index finger suc t at
t e arm assembly is able to rotate
2. Rotate t e arm assembly upwards to t e
position s ow in t e figure.
3. At t is point t e arm assembly s ould come to
a stop. Gently slide t e arm assembly towards
your body and you s ould be able to see t e
arm assembly out come from t e arm pivot rod.
4. Do not force t e arm assembly out as t ere a
nylon spacer w ic acts as a guide for t e arm
w ile it is rotating and keeps t e arm in place.
Note: If t e nylon spacer becomes damaged
t en it needs to be replaced because it could
cause problems for t e end user.

Installing Arm Assembly
1. Orient t e arm assembly in a manner suc t at
t e arm latc and arm pads are oriented away
from t e back frame as s own below
2. Gently slide t e arm assembly onto t e arm
pivot rod until it comes to a stop.
3. One s ould notice t at t e space between t e
two metal plates on t e arm body s ould line
up wit t e nylon spacer.
4. Do not force t e arm assembly inwards as
t ere a nylon spacer w ic acts as a guide for
t e arm w ile it is rotating and keeps t e arm in
place.
Note: If t e nylon spacer becomes damaged
t en it needs to be replaced because it could
cause problems for t e end user.
5. Gently rotate t e arm assembly downwards
until t e arm assembly comes to rest. One
s ould ear a ‘click’ noise and notice t at t e
back of t e arm latc is engaged wit t e arm
stop.

Replacing The Back Upholstery
1. Gently grasp t e back up olstery from t e
sides and slide t e up olstery up t e back
assembly until t e up olstery becomes loose
and is independent from t e commode.
2. Gently grasp t e new back up olstery from t e
sides and slide t e up olstery down t e back
assembly until t e top of t e up olstery lines
up wit t e top of t e back assembly. One
s ould also notice t at t e bends at t e top of
t e back assembly s ould be visible t roug
t e cutouts on eit er side of t e back
up olstery.

Adjusting Back Assembly Height
1. Remove t e snap clip on bot sides of t e back
assembly
2. Adjust t e position of t e back assembly to t e
desired eig t on t e receiver post and old
t e back assembly in place.
3. Place t e snap clip back into t e back
assembly to secure t e assembly to t e
receiver post. Ensure t e ole used by t e
snap clip is at t e same position on bot sides
suc t at t e back assembly is straig t and not
at an angle.

Replacing Seat Assembly
1. Gently grasp t e seat assembly from t e sides
and pull upwards to release t e seat locking
clips from t e commode frame tubing suc t at
t e seat assembly becomes independent from
t e commode.
2. Gently grasp t e new seat assembly from t e
sides and line up t e approximate location of
t e seat locking clips wit t eir respective
frame tubing t at t ey will ‘lock’ onto.
3. Pus t e seat assembly down onto t e frame
and ensure t at t e commode seat opening is
oriented in t e manner s own below. T e seat
locking clip s ould ‘lock’ onto t e frame tubing.
T e commode seat assembly s ould be ‘snug’
in place and s ould not be loose.
4. Ensure t e seat locking clips do not interfere
wit t e bends on t e potty receiver.

Removing Potty
1. Turn t e commode around so t at one can see
t e back of t e commode and potty.
2. Ensure t e w eel or caster locks are engaged
before removing potty.
3. Open one side of t e Velcro potty strap located
on t e potty receiver.
4. Gently grasp t e andle of t e potty and slide
t e potty out from t e potty receiver in a
direction away from t e commode.
5. Place t e lid on t e potty as s own below and
ensure t e lid and potty properly assemble
toget er. T e potty lid andle s ould be
oriented vertical up to ensure t at t e potty
assembly does not fall w en it is picked up.

6. Dispose t e contents of t e potty in t e
was room and properly sanitize t e potty
assembly before placing t e potty back into t e
potty receiver.
Note: If t e user wants to use t e commode wit a toilet
instead of wit t e potty t en one as to remove
t e potty receiver and potty. First one as to
remove t e commode seat as describe in t e
section REPLACING SEAT ASSEMBLY and t en
remove t e potty receiver and potty. Finally after
using t e toilet t e commode s ould be cleaned
and inspected to see if t ere may be uman waste
on ot er parts of t e commode. T en t e potty
receiver and potty can be placed back onto t e
commode if needed.
Installing Potty
1. Turn t e commode around so t at one can see
t e back of t e commode and potty.
2. Ensure t e w eel or caster locks are engaged
before installing potty.
3. Open one side of t e Velcro potty strap located
on t e potty receiver.
4. Remove t e lid on t e potty (if any) and ensure

t at t e potty is properly sanitized.
5. Gently grasp t e andle of t e potty and slide
t e potty into t e potty receiver in a direction
towards t e commode.

T e Tente casters used on t e commode ave a
unique locking mec anism w ic is located in eac
w eel. T e mec anism allows t e casters to be
independently locked in place so t at t e commode
does not move. In most instances one as to only t e
front two casters for t e attendant propelled version
and use t e rear w eel locks on t e self-propelled
version.
Adjusting Commode Seat Height
1. Remove t e two snap clips located on t e
frame front
2. Adjust t e position of t e caster assembly to
t e desired eig t and old t e caster
assembly in place.

WARNING
If c anging t e size of t e rear w eel or a c ange in t e
seat-to-floor eig t is desired, t is procedure MUST be
performed by a qualified tec nician.
Removing Rear Wheel
1. Use a wrenc to remove t e 7/16-20 lock nut
olding t e rear w eel in place.
2. Gently pull t e 7/16-20 x 4-1/2” bolt out from
t e bearings located in t e rear w eel.
3. To reinstall t e rear w eel onto t e commode,
reverse steps 1 to 2.
4. Repeat t is procedure for t e ot er rear w eel
assembly if required.
5. Ensure t ere is no instability in t e rear w eel
w en it is spun.
6. Ensure t at t e w eel lock s oe engages
properly onto t e w eel.

2. Perform one (1) of t e following:

lock andle forward
3. Disengage t e w eel locks by reversing STEP
2.
Adjusting The Patient Operated Wheel Locks
1. Disengage t e w eel locks.
2. Loosen t e two (2) 1/4-20 x 1-1/2” socket
screws s own in t e below figure t at secure
t e w eel lock to t e commode frame.
3. Reposition t e w eel lock so t at w en
engaged, t e w eel lock brake s oe embeds

t e tire 1/8” (3/16” for pneumatic tires) and
HOLDS t e occupied commode in place w en

4. Securely tig ten t e two (2) 1/4-20 X 1-1/2”
socket screws securing t e w eel lock to t e
commode frame.
5. Engage t e w eel lock.
6. Measure t e distance t e w eel lock is
embedded into t e tire
7. Repeat STEPS 1 to 6 until t e w eel lock
brake s oe embeds t e tire and HOLDS t e
occupied commode in place w en pus ed.
Engage bot w eel locks and ensure t e occupied
commode is eld in place w en pus ed.

Installing/Adjusting The Anti-Tippers
WARNING
Anti-tippers are specific to t e different seat-to floor angles
and/or seat-to-floor eig ts for self-propelled commodes only.
Refer to t e c art in t is section of t e manual for correct
usage and adjustment. If t ese requirements CANNOT be
ac ieved, DO NOT use t e commode. Contact a qualified
tec nician. If c anging t e seat-to-floor eig t wit or wit out
a c ange to seat-to-floor angle, t e correct anti-tippers MUST
be used to maintain a 1 ½“to 2” ground clearance.
Seat-to-floor angle of 3 degrees to 6 degrees: if so equipped,
anti-tippers MUST be attac ed at all times. In as muc as t e

anti-tippers are an option on t is commode (you may order
wit or wit out t e anti-tippers), Future Mobility Healt care
Inc. strongly recommends ordering t e anti-tippers as a
safeguard for t e commode user.
Anti-tippers MUST be fully engaged and snap clips fully
protruding out of adjustment oles.
Ensure bot anti-tippers are adjusted to t e same mounting
ole.
Installing Anti-Tippers
1. Insert t e Anti-Tip assembly into t e bottom of t e
commode frame w ere t e caster position is for t e
attendant propelled commode.
2. Line up t e ole in t e back of t e frame wit one of
t e oles on t e anti-tip assembly.
3. Measure t e distance between t e bottom of t e anti-
tipper w eels and t e ground/floor.
4. If t e distance between t e bottom of t e anti-tipper
w eels and t e ground/floor is not 1 ½ “ to 2”, adjust
t e location of t e anti-tippers and line up anot er
ole on t e anti-tip assembly wit t e ole in t e back
of t e frame.

Procedure for Cleaning After Each Use
Commode Potty
• Remove t e Commode Potty and empty its contents.
• Was t e potty wit a multi-purpose disinfectant detergent.
• DO NOT USE HOT AIR FOR DRYING.
Urethane Seat and Back
• Use a multipurpose disinfecting detergent to spray seat, scrub wit soft brus to clean a dirt.
• Rinse well and dry by wiping wit soft dry clot .
• DO NOT USE HOT AIR FOR DRYING.
• For more detailed cleaning, remove t e seat from commode c air.
• DO NOT IMMERSE t e commode c air seat in water or cleaning detergent solution.
Procedure for Cleaning As Needed
Frame, Armrest, Footrests and ther Components
• Spray t e frame and components wit multi-purpose disinfectant detergent, and scrub wit soft brus .
• Rinse well and dry by wiping wit soft dry clot .
• DO NOT USE HOT AIR FOR DRYING.
• If needed, spray t e frame and components wit diluted (10 parts water to 1 part solution) calcium/lime
removal solution, scrub wit soft brus and rinse well wit water, dry wit soft dry clot .
• DO NOT mix a calcium/lime remover wit any ot er liquid or toxic fumes may result.

13 Warranty
T is warranty is extended only to t e original purc aser/user of our products. Future Mobility Healt care Inc.
warrants its Aqua Re ab Commode to be free from defects in materials and workmans ip for two (2) years from t e
date of purc ase for t e steel frame w ile t e stainless steel frame is warranted for five (2) years from t e original
date of purc ase. T e back up olstery and commode seat is warranted for 90 days from t e date of purc ase. All
ot er parts and ardware are warranted for one (1) year from t e date of purc ase. If wit in t is warranty period t e
product s all be proven to be defective, suc product s all be repaired or replaced, at Future Mobility Healt care
Inc. discretion. Future Mobility Healt care Inc. sole obligation and your exclusive remedy under t is warranty s all
be limited to t e repair and/or replacement of t e product or its parts. T is warranty does not include any labour or
s ipping c arges incurred in replacement part installation or repair of any product. For warranty service, please
contact t e dealer from w om you purc ased your Future Mobility Healt care Inc. product. In t e event you do not
receive satisfactory warranty service, please write directly to Future Mobility Healt care Inc. at 3223 Orlando Drive,
Mississauga, Ontario, L4V 1C5. Provide t e dealer's name, address, model number, date of purc ase and indicate
t e nature of t e defect. DO NOT return products to Future Mobility Healt care Inc. wit out our prior consent. T e
defective unit or parts must be returned for warranty inspection wit in t irty (30) days of t e return aut orization
date. (Future Mobility Healt care Inc. will issue a return aut orization number). Please prepay all s ipping c arges;
