TURNING AND STEERING:
Your kneeboard has 180° steering which allows you to turn quickly and sharply. By turning the
handlebar, the wheels will steer like a bicycle. By varying the degree of rotation you can achieve
gentle curves, circles, or 180° direction change. Ride on smooth flat pavement away from trac
and obstacles. With eyes looking forward and head behind handlebars, kick for movement.
Initiate a turn by slowly turning the handlebars in the direction you want to go. Start with wide
smooth turns. Practice by making big circles in both directions and figure eights. Repeat until
you are comfortable. By relaxing your grip on the handlebars, your hands will naturally follow
your head and eye movement. Note: The steering component may be sti during initial use, but
with more use it will loosen up. A rapid turning motion will result in a rapid direction change.
Practice your SpinnerShark steering. Repeat until you are comfortable. Proper technique will
ensure balance and stability.
BRAKING:
Controlling speed and stopping are basic riding skills that must be learned. It is dangerous to ride
faster than your ability to turn, slow down and stop. Always exercise good judgment, ride within
your skill level and remain safe. While in the proper riding position, gradually squeeze the hand
mounted brake lever inward with both hands. Varying the degree of squeezing will result in speed
reduction or stopping. Practice using the brake lever to slow down gradually and then stop. Your
head should be positioned behind the handlebars, eyes looking forward (FIGURE 1). A strong and
rapid braking motion could result in a sudden stop. Practice braking your SpinnerShark. Repeat
until you are comfortable. Proper technique will ensure balance and stability.
HOW TO RIDE
46
owner’s manual
ALWAYS, BEFORE YOU RIDE
WARNING: ALWAYS INSPECT KNEEBOARD PRIOR TO RIDING. Proper inspection and
maintenance of your kneeboard can reduce the risk of injury. Check all fasteners before every ride.
Always inspect your kneeboard before riding, and maintain it regularly. Replace worn or broken
parts immediately. Adults must assist children in the assembly and initial adjustment procedure.
WARNING: REGARDING USE OF NON-NEXTSPORT PRODUCTS WITH YOUR FUZION
KNEEBOARD. Your kneeboard has been built according to Nextsport’s design specifications.
All the original equipment supplied at the time of sale was selected on the basis of
compatibility with the frame, wheels, pivots, and all other parts. Certain after-market products
may or may not be compatible with YOUR Fuzion kneeboard. Contact Nextsport’s customer
service prior to modifying or replacing any component with a non-factory specified part.
WARNING: CHECK ALL LOCAL LAWS REGARDING KNEEBOARD USE. Check all local laws
and regulations to see where and how you may use your Fuzion kneeboard legally. In many
states and local areas, kneeboard riders are required BY LAW to wear a helmet. Check and
obey local laws and regulations regarding helmet use and kneeboard operation in your area.
WARNING: REMEMBER TO ALWAYS WEAR PROTECTIVE GEAR. This includes a helmet, elbow
and knee pads.

Be sure to wear all properly adjusted safety gear.
RIDER’S CHECK LIST
Before riding, remember to:
owner’s manual
MAINTENANCE
It is the responsibility of the owner or guardian to periodically inspect the wheels, nuts, and
bearings for wear and tear, and check for proper tightness. Always make sure to tighten all
bolts and nuts before you ride. Eventually wheels, self-locking nuts and bearings wear and need
replacement. The lives of these components depend on the kind of riding done. Lots of braking
will wear out wheels and riding in dirty or wet conditions will prematurely shorten bearing and
fasteners life. Worn wheels and bearings are considered normal wear-and-tear and are not
covered by the Nextsport Limited Warranty. Wheels other than genuine Fuzion wheels may not be
compatible with your kneeboard. Always use genuine Fuzion replacement parts.
CLEANING YOUR KNEEBOARD:
Wipe with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. Do not use industrial cleaners or solvents as they
may damage the surfaces. Do not use alcohol, alcohol-based or ammonia-based cleaners as they
may damage or dissolve the plastic components or soften the decals or decal adhesive.
FIGURE 1
CORRECT INCORRECT
RIDING POSITION:
Position knees and shins on the outer foam pads as if
kneeling. Grasp the handlebars with both hands. Shift your
body weight towards your feet (to the rear of the board),
arms slightly bent. Your head should be positioned behind
the handlebars, eyes looking forward (FIGURE 1).
MOVEMENT (KICKING AND PUMPING):
Movement by kicking is achieved by positioning one leg in the
U-shaped center cutout area, then rapidly pushing your foot against
the pavement. Repeat this motion several times, returning the kick
leg to the knee pad then gliding. Kick, kick, glide. ALWAYS have
both hands on the handlebar while kicking. Practice kicking with
both legs in order to familiarize yourself with the SpinnerShark and
learn the most comfortable riding technique for you (FIGURE 2).
Movement by pumping is achieved without kicking. Assume the
riding position. Both hands should be on the grips, knees on the
pads, weight shifted back and head behind the handlebars. Quickly
turn the handlebars back and forth, and wiggle like a shark.
FIGURE 2
PRACTICE KICKING, GLIDING, AND PUMPING.
REPEAT UNTIL YOU ARE COMFORTABLE.
PROPER TECHNIQUE AND RIDING POSITION
WILL ENSURE BALANCE AND STABILITY.
