Underneaththemachine,removethelowerpinconnectingthehydrauliccylindertothepushoverarm.
Attachthetwoguideplate’s(item2)totheinsideofeach(LEFTANDRIGHT)tube’stoptwopredrilledholesinthe
pushoverarmusing2carriagebolts(item7)and2lockingflangenuts(item9)each,softlysnugeachnuttothetube
toallowforfutureadjustment.
Manuallyraisethepushoverarmtotheupposition.
Remove(ifinstalled)thespringloadedextensionarm,byremovingtwo3/8”boltsanddiscard.
Withthepushoverarmintheupposition,insertthelonglegoftheskipistonarm(item1)intotheleftguideplate
(item2)and(start)theshortlegoftheskipistonarmintotheformedopeningofthepushoverarm.Priortoinserting
thelonglegoftheskipistonarm(item1)intotherightsideguideplate(item2)slide,inorder,2stopcollars(item5)
and1returnspring(item6)ontothelonglegoftheskipistonarm(item1)theninsertthelonglegoftheskipiston
arm(item1)intotherightsideguideplate(item2).
Lowerthepushoverarmtothedownposition.
Attachthebalestop(item3)underthebalethroughandrampwithtwohexbolts(item8)and2lockingflangenuts
(item9).Two13/32”holesmayhavetobedrilledusingthelocationssuppliedonthedrawings.(Thebalestopwill
helppreventanyscuffingortearingtotheendofalongbaleexitingthebalechamber.Thismayoccurwhen
thebalepushestheskipistonarmtoitsmaximumcontraction.)
Atthistime,makesuretheskipistonarmslidesbackandforthwithnoresistance.Theguideplatesmustbeadjustedso
thatthebottomoftheskiarmisnotrubbingthetopofthepushoverarm;(about1/16”+clearanceshouldbeachieved)
continuingtoadjusttheguideplatessotheskipistonarmmovesfreelywithnoresistance.Finishtighteningthe
mountingnuts(items9)toassureguideplateswillnotslip.
Slidetheskipistonarm(item1)1”fromtherampandbalestop.Slidetheleftsidestopcollar(item5)firmlyagainstthe
leftsideguideplate(item2)andtighten.Slidethereturnspring(item6)firmlyagainsttherightsideguideplate(item
2)slidetherightstopcollaragainstthereturnspringuntilthespringretracts½“andtightenthestopcollar.

WILLRECEIVETENSIONWHENITCONTACTSTHEBALEOFHAY.Thelengthofthespringat
