E-MOTION GUIDE: BATTERY AND LIGHT BAND

Introduction:
Dear customer, thank you for purchasing our e.Motion cycling jacket. This jacket has been
designed and created for your safety and visibility during your ride. The light strip and its
reflective pockets make this cycling outfit one of the safest in the world.
The light strip is a all-side emission fiber with a very high level of visibility, about 200 meters in
dark weather or night. It is light, very resistant, flexible and washable (without battery).
The light fiber strip of the jacket is fully controllable. Several modes are available and with just
one touch of a the “ON” button in the battery.
The lighting time depends on the battery usage, charging time and the mode used. On average,
the battery allows fixed lighting in continuous light for 3 to 10 hours.
The battery is connected to the light strip with a 2.5mm jack cable and can be disconnected and
simply reconnected. It is not recommended to disconnect and then excessively reconnect the
battery and light strip because it will reduce the life of both products.
The Li-ION 800 mAh battery and fiber light strip are tested in the laboratory according to
European standards and regulations and fit with the most stringent safety requirements. The
battery voltage is below 5V.
Control:
To turn on the light strip, connect the battery and press the "ON" button more than 3 seconds.
To turn off the light strip, press the "ON" button on the battery for more than 3 seconds.
The duration of use depends on the mode used. The mode that provides the most brightness is
the one that consumes the most energy and lasts the shortest time.
The battery has a charge level indicator. To activate the control unit, press the "ON" button once.
The battery displays its charge level.
To change the mode, simply press the "ON" button on the battery when the charge indicator is
on and the control unit is activated. (You must press the "ON" button twice when the control unit
is not activated if you want to change mode)

The last mode is the safest mode because the light is flashing. Despite the intensity of last mode,
it consumes less energy and the duration of use is better than the first mode.
Recharge the battery:
Please charge the battery full for long-term storage.
The light device includes a powerful rechargeable Li-Ion battery. Battery can be charge because
of built-in micro-USB connector.
A micro-USB type cable must be used to charge the battery. Charge the device in a dry
environment at temperatures between + 5 ° C and 25 ° C.
The red control light on the side of the battery "CHAR", means that the charge is on process. A
green light means that the battery is fully charged.
The battery level is indicated by a charge level indicator on the side of the battery labeled
"LEVEL". If the battery is completely discharged, the unit will not turn on and a red light will come
on briefly.
Lights are:
100 -75% : Green red, orange and yellow;
75 - 50%: red, orange and yellow,
50-25%: red and orange,
Less than 25%: only red one.
There is a built-in overheating protection during use. In case of emergency, the battery will
automatically turn off.

The battery also has overheating protection during charging, depending on the temperature, the
battery may temporarily stop the charging process.
The battery can reach up to 45 ° C during charging. If the temperature is above 45 ° C and
charging continues, stop charging immediately. The battery automatically shuts off within 10
seconds of disconnecting the light strip or unloading the battery
Safety instructions and Warnings:
Please charge your device before using it for the first time.
Store the device in temperatures from + 5 ° C to 35 ° C. Do not expose the device to rain etc.,
and do not use chemically aggressive substances to clean it.
Do not use the device if it is damaged.
The device is not suitable for small children.
Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or other sources of heat.
Protect the device and the charger from mechanical damage, do not short circuit or disassemble.
Keep the Li-Ion battery out of the reach of children.
If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately. The battery can reach up to 45 ° C when
charging. If the temperature is higher than 45 ° C, stop the charging immediately. After the
service life has expired, transfer the electrical equipment and the battery to an environmentally
friendly disposal.
Terms of Warranty:
A warranty of 12 months from the date of sale is provided on the control unit and on the battery
functionality.
Any detected defect must be promptly claimed. The warranty does not apply to normal use of
the battery.
Gradual reduction of battery capacity over time is not a defect, but a normal characteristic of
the equipment.
The warranty does not apply to defects caused by improper handling or physical damage.
Warranty conditions exclude any user interference with the device and its accessories. Otherwise,
the user bears all responsibility for any possible damage. Any warranty on the equipment and
its accessories may also be invalidated.
Cleaning and maintenance:
The light conductor and light source are designed to be highly water resistant, although the control
unit is not waterproof and there is danger of permanent damage upon contact with large amounts
of water. It is absolutely necessary to remove the control unit from the armband prior to each
cleaning.
