Apreciado cliente.
Enhorabuena y gracias por haber escogido una bañera de hidromasaje Gala.
A continuación encontrará consejos y recomendaciones que le serán de gran utilidad para obtener el
máximo disfrute de su bañera de hidromasaje. Le recomendamos que las lea con atención y, si necesita
alguna aclaración, contacte con su distribuidor.
Estamos convencidos que bajo estos criterios usted dispondrá del máximo placer en el mundo del
hidromasaje GALA.
Es muy importante que el sistema de hidromasaje de su bañera tenga una ventilación adecuada. Debe
ser posible el acceso y ventilación de la parte inferior de la bañera, tanto si está cerrada con faldones
como mediante obra. En el primer caso debe asegurarse que las holguras entre faldones, bañera y
paredes no han sido selladas. En el segundo caso es necesario un registro de, al menos, 70x45 cm y una

rejilla de ventilación de 200 cm como mínimo. El acceso sólo debe ser posible tras desmontar el faldón o
la rejilla mediante el uso de una herramienta.
La manipulación del sistema de hidromasaje de la bañera será efectuada solamente por el Servicio de
Asistencia Técnica ya que se requieren conocimientos específicos para efectuar dicha manipulación.
Su bañera puede ir equipadas con 2 sistemas de masaje: Hidromasaje agua e Hidromasaje agua Dorsal
•Bañeras con Hidromasaje Agua (lateral):
El masaje agua se basa en la inyección de agua a través de jets orientables situados en los laterales de la
bañera.
•Bañeras con Hidromasaje Agua lateral y Dorsal:
Junto con los jets laterales, la inyección de agua puede producirse a través de cuatro jets orientables
estratégicamente situados en el respaldo de su bañera, estos van proporcionando un suave masaje,
incrementando la sensación de relax.
Además, lo hemos combinado con un agradable reposacabezas, para hacer más placentero su masaje.

En esencia el masaje agua consiste en impulsar a presión una mezcla de agua y burbujas de aire a
través de unos inyectores situados en los laterales de la bañera y en el respaldo de la misma, si la
bañera dispone de masaje Dorsal. El agua es aspirada directamente del interior de la misma a través del
rosetón de aspiración. Por su lado, el aire se obtiene de la atmósfera a través de un regulador. Ambos
llegan por separado a los inyectores donde se produce la mezcla, al incorporar el aire por efecto Venturi.
La acción de las burbujas sobre el cuerpo ha demostrado ser muy beneficiosa para la salud. Pueden
mencionarse especialmente los siguientes efectos:
•Estímulo y mejora de la higiene de la superficie cutánea y de la circulación cardiovascular.
• Mejora general de la circulación capilar y linfática.
• Agilización muscular y oxigenación de la piel.
•Resulta especialmente indicado en caso de dolores musculares, lumbago, artritis, recuperaciones
post-operatorias, stress y estados de fatiga en general.
Los efectos del hidromasaje quedan determinados por los elementos siguientes:
- Diseño ergonómico de la bañera de hidromasaje. Tanto los aspectos morfológicos de la bañera,
como la ubicación de los inyectores de hidromasaje han sido diseñados teniendo en cuenta,
principalmente, los criterios de ergonomía que aseguren un óptimo uso del producto.
- Duración del baño: Se recomienda que la duración del baño de hidromasaje no supere los 30 minutos.
- Temperatura del agua: Puede oscilar entre 30º C y 39º C:
Baño frío (30-35º C). Para efectos tonificantes.
Baño neutro (36-37º C). Para baños relajantes.
Baño caliente (38-39º C). Para aplicaciones musculares u óseas.
- Proporción de aire en el chorro de agua: De forma genérica:
Si la proporción de aire en el chorro de agua es alta se producen efectos tonificantes.
Si la proporción de aire es baja se producen efectos relajantes.
- Utilización de sales, esencias o geles: Existen en el mercado numerosos productos con distintas
propiedades y efectos sobre el organismo. GALA recomienda consultar a profesionales cualificados
sobre cada necesidad concreta, posibles contraindicaciones del hidromasaje o conveniencia de
utilización de una determinada esencia, gel o sal.
El hidromasaje GALA también resulta altamente adecuado para los baños de aromaterapia, donde son
utilizados los denominados “aceites esenciales”. La aplicación del hidromasaje, con la presión del agua
sobre el cuerpo, favorece la penetración de estos aceites esenciales en el organismo. Esta propiedad se
potencia con la positiva influencia del olor agradable de los aceites, al liberarse por efecto del calor las

El jet puede orientarse según las preferencias
del usuario. Basta con dirigir su rótula
orientable con el dedo ( Fig.3).
Además la intensidad del chorro del agua
puede regularse mediante el giro de la
propia rótula (Fig.4).

La instalación habrá sido realizada por personal cualificado, debiendo ser observadas las indicaciones
del Manual del Instalador, que se acompaña con la bañera, así como las Instrucciones de Montaje.
La bañera debe haberse conectado a una tensión de 220-230 V~. La instalación eléctrica de la vivienda
debe disponer de un interruptor diferencial de 30 mA, o mayor sensibilidad, según la normativa vigente
en la zona geográfica donde se instala, y un magnetotérmico adecuado.
Debe haberse realizado una conexión equipotencial entre los elementos metálicos de la bañera, según
la normativa vigente en cada país.
Esta bañera no está destinada a ser usada por niños ni personas cuyas capacidades físicas, sensoriales
o mentales estén reducidas o carezcan de experiencia o los conocimientos necesarios, salvo que
tengan supervisión o instrucciones relativas al uso del aparato por una persona responsable de su
seguridad.
Los niños siempre deben utilizar la bañera bajo supervisión para evitar un posible uso incorrecto
de la misma.
Su bañera dispone de un sistema de seguridad que desconecta el hidromasaje pasados 20 min. desde
su puesta en marcha; en caso de que Vd. desee continuar con el baño de hidromasaje, basta con que
vuelva a iniciarlo nuevamente, disfrutando así de otros 20 min. de hidromasaje.
Antes de un hidromasaje
• Con objeto de hacer funcionar correctamente el circuito de hidromasaje, debe asegurarse que el nivel
de agua de la bañera sobrepase los jets más elevados.
• En el caso de utilizar esencias o jabones durante el hidromasaje, éstas deberán estar especialmente
indicadas para este uso. En caso contrario, se puede generar una cantidad excesiva de espuma.
Proceso
•Llene la bañera con agua hasta cubrir el jet más elevado. Escoja la temperatura de la misma en función
de sus preferencias y del tipo de baño de hidromasaje a tomar.
•Introdúzcase en el agua y pulse el botón de puesta en marcha (Fig.1).
•La proporción de aire, el tiempo del baño, la utilización de aceites, esencias o sales, junto con la
intensidad del chorro del agua y su temperatura, determinará el efecto del hidromasaje.
De forma general, se recomienda que el chorro del agua no se dirija perpendicularmente al cuerpo, sino
de forma oblicua, para así obtener los mayores beneficios del hidromasaje.

Después de un baño de hidromasaje, conviene realizar un ciclo de limpieza de la bañera,
especialmente cuando se prevea que no va a ser utilizada durante un periodo largo de tiempo. La misión
del ciclo de limpieza es desinfectar la bañera y todo el circuito de hidromasaje.
Después del baño, una vez fuera de la bañera:
Vierta una cantidad de líquido desinfectante según indicaciones del fabricante del liquido y del tamaño
de la bañera.
Ponga el hidromasaje en funcionamiento durante 2 minutos.
Pasados 2 minutos apague el hidromasaje y deje que el líquido actúe durante unos 20 minutos.
Vacíe la bañera.
La limpieza de su bañera debe realizarse con una esponja suave, agua y jabón. Es conveniente secarla
posteriormente para evitar la formación de placas calcáreas.
No deben utilizarse elementos que puedan dañar la superficie de la bañera, productos abrasivos o
disolventes. Ciertos detergentes y limpiadores, por su alta concentración, no son recomendables en la
limpieza de la bañera. No utilizar nunca disolventes como el alcohol o la acetona ni otros productos
químicos que tengan estos como base, para limpiar las piezas, como pulsador, regulador, etc.
Si accidentalmente se produjese algún arañazo superficial en la bañera, es suficiente repasar la
superficie con pulimento exento de disolventes. Si fuese necesario, se puede pasar primero una lija al
agua (nº 800), luego una lija al agua (nº 1.200) y posteriormente aplicar el pulimento.

Detección de anomalías
Ante cualquier anomalía en su bañera, no permita que nadie manipule el interior de la misma, salvo el
servicio de asistencia técnica. Consulte la tabla de anomalías siguiente y, en caso de necesidad,
contacte con su distribuidor de Gala.

Dear customer,
We congratulate you and thank you for purchasing a Gala whirlpool bath.
Before using the whirlpool bath, please read carefully through the instructions covering each of the
functions in the corresponding sections of this manual. If you require any further explanation, please
contact your Gala distributor.
The bathtub's hydromassage system must be provided with sufficient ventilation. For that reason some
provision must have been made for access to, and ventilation of the underside of the bathtub, whether it is
paneled in or bricked in. In the former case, make sure that the clearances between the panels, bathtub
and walls have not been sealed up. In the latter case, it is necessary to fit a door of at least 75x45 cm and a

ventilation grille of at least 200 cm .Access should only be possible with the aid of a tool.
It is important to note that specialist knowledge is required for repairing the mechanisms of this type of
bathtub. Therefore, in the case of detecting any faults please always contact our Customers' Technical
Assistance service and do not try to undertake the repairs yourself.
The bathtub can be equipped with two different water massage systems: Side Water Massage and Back
Water massage.
•Bathtubs with Side Water Massage:
The massage is based on water injection through the directional jets on the sides of the bathtub.
•Bathtubs with Side + Back Water hydromassage:
Together with the jets on the side of the bathtub, the water injection can be through four directional jets
located in the back of the bathtub, these providing a gentle massage increasing a great feeling of
wellbeing.
In addition , we have combined with a great feeling headrest, to make your massage more pleasurable.
We are convinced that following these instructions will guarantee your full satisfaction with the GALA
Hydromassage System.

Essentially, the water massage consists of a mixture of water and air bubbles being pumped through jets
located in the sides of the bathtub and on the back if the bathtub is equipped with back water massage.
The water is aspirated directly from inside the bathtub through the suction rose. The air is taken from the
atmosphere and passes through an control device. The water and air reach the jets separately and
become mixed together by means of Venturi effect aspiration.
The action of the air bubbles on the body has been proven to be highly beneficial for the health. The
following effects are particularly worth mentioning:
• Stimulates and improves skin hygiene and cardiovascular circulation.
• Generally improves capillary and lymph circulation.
• Tones the muscles and oxygenates the skin.
• It is specially recommended in case of muscular pains, lumbago, arthritis, postoperative recoveries,
stress and general states of fatigue.
The effects of the hydromassage are determined by the following factors:
- Ergonomic design of the hydromassage bathtub: In each model of bathtub the position of the jets
has been studied so as to massage key body areas.
- Duration: It is recommended that the duration of the hydromassage bath should not exceed 30
minutes.
- Temperature: The temperature of the bath can vary between 30º C and 39º C:
• Cold bath (30-35º C). For mainly invigorating effects.
• Warm bath (36-37º C). For relaxing baths.
• Hot bath (38-39º C). For muscular or osteopathic applications.
- Proportion of air: In general the proportion of air in the water jet has the following effects:
• Greater proportion of air: invigorating effects.
• Lesser proportion of air: relaxing effects.
- Salts and essences: There are many products on the market with different properties and effects on
the organism. Gala recommends its customers to consult qualified professionals about their specific
needs, the possible counter-indications of the hydromassage or the advisability of using a particular
essence, gel or salt.
The Gala hydromassage is also highly recommended for aromatherapy baths, where “essential oils” are
used. The application of the hydromassage, with pressurized water directed at the body, favours the
penetration of these essential oils in the organism. This property is reinforced by the positive influence of
the pleasant aroma of the oils, as the most volatile substances contained in them are released by the
effect of the heat.

AIR REGULATION
The air regulator is the device which permits the
desired proportion of air in the side hydromassage
jet to be selected (Fig.2). This controls the amount
of bubbles which are generated and thus the
hydromassage effect obtained.
To increase the proportion of air, turn the regulator in
anti-clockwise direction.
To minimize the proportion of air, turn the regulator
in clockwise direction.

The jets can be directed at will, simply by
pressing the centre with your fingertip. Its
ball-and-socket joint housing allows the jet to
be directed by finger pressure (Fig.3).
Additionally, the intensity of the water
massage can be regulated by turning the jet
outlet. (Fig.4).

The installation must have been carried out by a qualified technical service. Please follow the
suggestions included in both the Installation Manual and the Assembly Instructions, which are enclosed
with the bathtub.
The bathtub should be connected to 230 V and the household's installation must have a 30 mAdifferential
switch and an appropriate magnetothermal switch suited to the model.
The metal elements of the bathtub must be connected equipotentially in accordance with the regulations
applying in each country.
This bath is not intended for use by children or people with physical, sensory or mental impairment or who
lack the necessary experience or knowledge, unless supervised or instructed in the use of the equipment
by a person responsible for their safety.
Children must only use the bath under supervision, to avoid possible misuse.
Your bathtub has a security system that disconnects hidromasaje past 20 min. from its beginning; in case
you wish to continue with the hidromasaje bath, you can initiate it again, enjoying other 20 that min. of
hidromasaje.
Before a hydromassage.
• In order for the bath water to circulate through the hydromassage circuit, ensure that the uppermost jets
are covered with water.
• Special hydromassage essences or soaps must be used. Otherwise a great quantity of foam may be
generated.
Process.
• Fill the bathtub with water until the uppermost jet is covered. Select the water temperature according to
your preference and the type of hydromassage bathtub to be taken.
• Get into the water and press the start button (Fig.1).
• The proportion of air, together with the water temperature, the duration of the bathtub and the use of oils,
essences or salts, will determine the effect of the hydromassage.
In general, it is recommended that the water stream should not be pointed directly at the body at an angle,
in order to obtain the greatest benefits of the massage.
Cleaning cycle.
• After a hydromassage bath it is recommended to perform a cleaning cycle of the bathtub, especially
when it is foreseen that the bathtub will not be used for some time. The aim of the cleaning cycle is to
disinfect the bath and all the hydromassage circuit.

Malfunctions
When you have finished the bath and once you are out of the bathtub:
Pour into the water a measure of disinfecting cleaning liquid, in accordance with the cleaning liquid
manufacturer's instructions and the bathtub size.
Set the hydromassage in operation for 2 minutes.
Finally turn off the hydromassage and leave the disinfectant liquid to do its job for 20 minutes.
Empty the bathtub.
To clean your hydromassage use a soft sponge, soap and water. The should be dried
after cleaning to avoid the training of calcareous plates.
Do not use elements which could damage the surface of the , like abrasive or solvent products.
Due to their concentration, we recommend to avoid some detergents and cleaning fluids not be used.
Never use solvents such as alcohol or acetone on the nor any other chemical product to clean
pushbuttons or controls.
If the surface of the bathtub should accidentally be scratched containing the mentioned substances, it
should be enough to buff it with a solvent-free polish. If necessary, the surface can first be treated with a
sandpaper (Nº 800) and then a sandpaper (Nº1.200) before applying the polish.
Should you notice any of the functions not operating as described in this manual, never allow anyone
except a qualified service engineer to service the interior of bath. We recommend you check through the
following table. Consult the following table and if necessary contact your Gala distributor.
