B.GarminG3000IntegratedAvionicsSystemlinereplaceableunits(LRUs)donotneedsoftwareor
congurationlesuploadedthatareremovedandinstalledagaininthesameairframeposition(same
location).GarminLRUsmusthavesoftwareandcongurationlesuploadedwhentheconditionsthat
followoccur:
•GarminLRUsthatarereplaced
•GarminLRUsthatareswappedinairframepositionorinadifferentlocation
•Fortroubleshootingandtorestorecorrectoperationoftheaffectedsystem.
C.ThesoftwareuploadandtheG3000congurationlesystemuploadproceduresaregiveninthis
sectionfortheGarmindisplayunits(GDUs)andtheGarminT ouchscreenControlUnits(GTCs).The
GDUsincludethepilot'sandcopilot'sPrimaryFlightDisplays,LPFDandRPFD(PFD1andPFD2),
respectively,theMultifunctionDisplay(MFD),andthepilot'sandcopilot'sTouchscreenControlUnits
LGTCandRGTC(GTC1andrightGTC2),respectively.ThissectionalsogivestheG3000system
LRUandoptionalsystemLRUsoftwareandcongurationlesuploadprocedures.
D.TheGTC570ControllerUnits(GTCs)andthePFDsandMFDareusedinthesoftwareand
congurationuploadprocedures.Eachdisplayunithassecuredigital(SD)cardslotsinthetop
rightportionofthedisplaybezel.TheSDcardsareinsertedforthesoftware/congurationuploads.

E.Eachsystemsoftwareloadorcongurationuploadprocedurecanberepeateduptovetimesdue
toafailedorcancelleduploadpromptmessage.Donotcancelasoftwareuploadthatisinprogress,
letthesystemeithersuccessfullyloadorfail.Ifveattemptshavebeencompletedpleasecontact
CessnaCustomerCareforfurtherassistance.Forcontactinformation,refertotheIntroduction.
F.TheG3000receiveselectricalpowerdirectlyfromtheelectricalbusses.TheG3000PFDs,MFD,
GTCs,andsupportingsub-systemsincludebothpower-onandcontinuousbuilt-intestfeaturesthat
checktheprocessor,RAM,ROM,externalinputs,andoutputstoprovidesafeoperation.During
systeminitializationtestannunciationsareshownoneachofthetwoPFDsandtheMFD.Allsystem
annunciationsshouldtypicallydisappearwithintherstminuteofpower-up.WhentheG3000system
isenergizedtheannunciatorlightsontheAFCSControllermomentarilycomeonandthePFDandthe
AHRSinitializeanddisplayAHRSALIGN:KeepWingsLevel.TheAHRSshoulddisplayvalidattitude
andheadingeldstypicallywithinseveralminutesafterpower-up.TheAHRScanalignitselfwhile
taxiingandduringlevelight.Uponpower-up,eachofthetwoGTCsshowtheinitializationpageon
