Gavita FB1 Fan Balancer

Dear customer,
Congratulations on the purchase of your FB1 Fan
Balancer. This manual contains all the information
necessary to install, use and maintain the Gavita FB1
Fan Balancer. Please read and understand this manual
completely before installing and using the product.
In this manual, the Gavita FB1 Fan Balancer will be
referred to as “the fan balancer”.
This is the original manual, keep it in a safe location!

1. Introduction
The Gavita FB1 Fan Balancer is a fan output limiter. It is
to be used in conjunction with the Gavita ELxF Master
Controllers.
Please refer to the manual of your ELxF Master Controller
if you need more in depth information.

4. Ports and control
Ports and offset control are indicated on the front of the
FB1.

5. Installing the fan balancer
Use double sided foam tape to stick the fan balancer to
a wall. Or use the magnet to affix the fan balancer to a
grow room.

6. Connecting the fan balancer
Warning! Connect only one fan to each output port!
Connect the fan port on your ELxF to the Input port (A).
Connect the exhaust fan to the Output port (B). Connect
the intake fan to the Offset Output port (C).

7. Using the fan balancer
Adjust the speed of the intake fan by rotating the Offset
knob from 0% to -70%. Use this to create the right amount
of under pressure in your grow room.
