completely dissolvedin very coldwater, especiallyin cooler climates.
Duringwinter months, when the water entering your home iscolder,or for locationswith very coldwater year
round, usethe PerfecTemp plusCOLDto help dissolvepowdered detergents and to improve the cleaning of
your clothes.
TheTAPCOLDfeature turns the PerfecTempfeature on your washer off, and usesyour householdtap water
temperature for aCOLDwash.Thiscan provideenergy savingsby reducing the amount of hot water used in
your wash.

Autosook Option (onsome models)
Thisoption beginswith a brief agitation, soaksfor a specified period of time,then moves through the rest of the

Status Indicator Lights
TheCycle Indicator Lights show what stage the washer isin.When the Selectorknob isset to a new cycle, the Indicator
Lightswill flash momentarily, showing what stages the cycle will go through. On models without anAUTOSOAKoption,
the SOAKlight will not light up.

Thewash cycle controls the length and intensity of the washing process.The knob can be turned in either direction.
Turningthe CycleSelector knob after starting a cycle will stop the washer and reset the cycle to the new selection.

Tocontinue the cycle, pressSTARTagain or close the lid. Ifmachine is paused morethan 24 hours,the cycle will be
cancelled.Tostop the cycle, hold the button for 3 seconds.If water remains in the machine,selectthe DRAIN&SPIN
ORSPINONLYcycle to draintub and spinwater out of the washer tub.
Raisingthe lidwill stop agitation or spin action, but does not pausethe cycle.

About washer features.
The Agitator Cap or Fabric Softener Dispenser (depending on model)
Theagitator cap fits into the top of the
agitator. If it accidentally comes off,
simply put it back on.
Thefabric softener dispenser automatically
releasesliquid fabric softener at the proper
time during the cycle.
Do not stop thewasher during thefirst spin.
This will causethedispenser to empty
tOO soon.

r21 Separatethe dispensercup from the cover by grasping the top and pushing down on the
insideof the cup with your fingers.Dispensercup will pop free from the cover.
r_To cleanthe dispenser,soak both the dispenser cup and the dispensercover in the
following solution:
• J USgallon (3.8liters)warm water
•J/4 cup(60ml)heavg-dutg liquid detergent
•J cup (240ml)bleach
I_-IIf necessary,loosen buildup with a clean, soft cloth after soaking.Do not usea stiff brush;
you may roughen the surface of the dispenser.
r_l Rinseand reassembledispenser.Placedispenser back on the agitator.
Liquid Bleach Funnel
Thewater fill dilutes liquid chlorine bleach asthe washer fills for the wash cycle.

Sort by color (whites, lights,colors),soillevel,
fabric type (sturdycottons, easy care,delicates)
and whether the fabric produces lint (terry cloth,
chenille)or collects lint (velveteen,corduroy).
ProperUseofDetergent
Add detergent and start the washer before adding
clothes sothat the detergent can work effectively.
Usingtoo little or too much detergent isa common
cause of laundry problems.
Youcan use lessdetergent if you havesoft water,
a smaller load or a lightly soiledload.

Loaddry items loosely,no higher than the top row of
holesin the washer basket. When loading wet items,
make sure you set the load/water levelhigh enough
to allow the items to move freely. Water levelshould
just cover the clothes.Toadd items after washer has
started, lift the lid and submerge additional items next

• Donot wash fabricscontaining flammable

Wash Basket: Leavethe lid open after washing to
allow moisture to evaporate. Ifyou want to clean
the basket, usea clean soft cloth dampened with

gritty cleaners.)
Fill Hoses: GErecommends changing the hoses
every 5 years.
Exterior: Immediately wipe off any spills.Wipe
with damp cloth.Try not to hit surface with
sharp objects.
Moving and Storage: Ask the servicetechnician to
remove water from drain pump and hoses.Seethe

En determinadas condiciones, en un calentador de agua que no se habla utilizado durante un minima
de dos semanas se puede producir gas hidr6geno. Elgas hidr6geno puede resultar explosivo en
determinadas circunstancias.
Si el agua caliente no se ha utilizado por dos semanas o m6s, prevenga la posibilidad de sufrir daflos o lesiones
abriendo todos los grifos de agua caliente g dej6ndola correr durante varios minutos. Realice este proceso antes
de utilizar cualquier electrodom@stico que se conecte al sistema de agua caliente. Este sencillo procedimiento le

lavado, empapado o manchado con sustancias
inflamables o explosivas (coma cera,aceite,

estassustancias al agua de lavado. Noutilice
ni coloque ninguna de estassustancias en torno
a la lavadora o la secadora durante el

Elproceso de lavado puede reducir el tiempo
