1. Do not operate the saw when tired, distracted, or un-
der the effects of drugs, alcohol or any medication
that impairs reflexes or alertness.
2. The working area should be well lit, clean and free of
debris.
3. Keep children and visitors at a safe distance when
the saw is in operation; do not permit them to operate
the saw.
4. Childproof and tamper proof your shop and all ma-
chinery with locks, master electrical switches and
switch keys, to prevent unauthorized or unsupervised
use.
5. Stay alert! Give your work your undivided attention.
Even a momentary distraction can lead to serious
injury.
6. Fine particulate saw dust is a carcinogen that can be
hazardous to health. Work in a well-ventilated area
and whenever possible use a dust collector and wear
eye, ear and respiratory protection devices.
7. Do not wear loose clothing, gloves, bracelets, neck-
laces and ornaments while saw is in operation.
8. Be sure that adjusting wrenches, tools, drinks and
other clutter are removed from the machine and/or
the table surface before commencing operation.
9. Keep hands well away from saw blade and all mo-
ving parts. Use a push stick to feed stock, and use a
brush, not hands, to clear away chips and sawdust.
10. Be sure that saw blade is securely locked, and in pro-
per cutting direction, before operation.
11. Use recommended-speed, saw blade and acces-
sories for the working material.
12. Be sure the blade has gained full operating speed
before beginning to cut.
13. Always use a clean, properly sharpened blade. Dirty
or dull blades are unsafe and can lead to accidents.
14. Do not push or force stock into the cutting blade. The
saw will perform better and more safely when working
at the rate for which it was designed.
15. Use suitable support when cutting stock that does not
have a flat surface. Always hold stock firmly against
the fence when ripping, or against the miter gauge
when cross-cutting.
16. To minimize risk of injury in the event of work piece
kickback, never stand directly in-line with the blade or
in the potential kickback path of the work piece.
17. Avoid working from awkward or off balance positions.
Do not overreach during cutting operation; keep both
feet on floor. Never lean over or reach over the blade
and never pull the work piece over the blade from
behind. Use outfeed support or have an assistant help
when ripping long material.
18. Keep blade guards in place and in working order. If a
guard must be removed for maintenance or clea-
ning, be sure it is properly reattached before using the
tool again.
19. Never leave the machine running with the power on
when not in operation.
20. If using a power feeder, stop the feeder before
stopping the table saw.
21. Use of parts and accessories NOT recommended by
General® International may result in equipment mal-
function or risk of injury.
22. Never stand on machinery. Serious injury could result
if the tool is tipped over or if blade is unintentionally
contacted.
23. Always disconnect tool from power before servicing or
changing accessories such as a saw blade, or before
performing any maintenance, cleaning or adjust-
ments, or if the machine will be left unattended.
24. Make sure that switch is in the “OFF” position before
plugging in the power cord.
25. Make sure tool is properly grounded. If tool is equipped
with a 3-prong plug it should be used with a three-pole
receptacle. Never remove the third prong
Rules for Safe Operation
To help ensure safe operation, please take a moment to learn the machine’s applications and limita-
tions, as well as potential hazards. General® International disclaims any real or implied warranty and
holds itself harmless for any injury that may result from improper use of its equipment.

Before you first use your new miter guide please ensure that you have followed the assembly instructions provided
and that all connections are mechanically secure. After you verify that it is assembled and functioning properly, sim-
ply remove the old miter guide from your table saw and follow the guidelines below.
This innovative new miter guide design is intended to replace the original equipment guide that was provided with
your table saw at the time of purchase. The guide bar will fit into the standard 3/8” by 3/4” slot or T-slot on most table
saws. If your table saw does not have a T-slot simply remove the flat washer under the leading edge of the guide bar
using the allen key provided.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

SAFETY REMINDERS
Your new miter guide was designed and engineered with ease-of-use, accuracy and safety in mind. Do not modify
this device or use it for purposes other than that for which it was intended. When used properly the Osborne miter
guide will enable you to produce the cleanest and flattest cross cuts possible on your table saw. As a result, you will
also produce the best miter joints possible. This does not reduce or eliminate the necessity for you to understand
and comply with all the safety requirements and recommendations outlined in manuals provided by the original
equipment manufacturer. For your own safety, read the owners manual carefully and become aware of the tool’s
limitations. You, as the owner of a powerful piece of woodworking equipment, are responsible for its proper
maintenance and safe operation. Failure to be mindful of safety procedures and practices can result in
devastating personal injury.
Ensure that all guards are in place and functioning properly. Keep the machine tuned up. To reduce the potential
for binding or kick back, keep your blade sharp, and make sure it is properly aligned relative to the guide slots.
Check the tools frequently for loose, damaged or malfunctioning components. Lubricate it as recommended,
ensure it is properly grounded and avoid damp or wet locations. Always take the time to disconnect the power
supply before you perform any maintenance or repair. Clear away hand tools and other objects before you turn
the machine on. When cross cutting on a table saw you must maintain firm control of the work piece, but
remember to let the tool do the work. You should never need to force the material through the cut. Please keep
children or unqualified persons away from the equipment. Keep the work area clean. Dress appropriately for
operating woodworking equipment. Wear safety glasses and noise suppressors. Do not wear loose clothing or
anything around your neck that might get caught and draw you down into the machine.

ASSEMBLY
1) Remove the unit from the box and unfold it.
4) Assemble and attach the flip stop as per flip stop exploded views below.
NOTE: If you choose to use the self adhesive abrasive on the fence:
separate the fence from the rest of the assembly. Remove the paper
backing and apply to the smooth face of the fence. Apply pressure
over the entire surface with the palm of your hand or with a hard rub-
ber roller. Trim the excess by running a utility knife against the edge
of the fence all the way around the outside.
To apply the measure tape, remove the backing to expose the adhe-
sive film, then stick the measuring tape to the top of the fence.
The glide tape can be applied by sticking it to the bottom of the glide
bar.
For use on the left side of the
table saw.
When you assemble the stop,
tighten the top lock nut until
the slide and the stop are
tight. Back off the nut slightly
allowing the stop to pivot on
the bolt.
For use on the right side
of the table saw.
After your stop is
assembled in the desired
orientation, slide the
head of bolt into the
track slot that runs along
the top of the fence.
2) Slide the inner brace into the red outer
brace then tighten the angle clamp knob.
3) Attach the handle to the guide bar.

ADJUSTING THE GUIDE BAR
There are three adjustment slots in the guide bar.
With the bar in the t-slot of your saw, insert the hex
key (provided) into the set screw at the center of
the slot. Adjusting this screw up and down will
expand and contract the width of the bar. Adjust
each slot so that you eliminate lateral play but
still have smooth sliding action across the entire
fence.
To set commonly used angles, position the fence in the vicinity
of the desired angle. Compress the detent plunger on the
underside of the outer brace until it seats in the hole, now
tighten the angle clamp knob
To manually set an angle, first loosen the angle clamp knob.
Move the fence forward or back until the desired angle is
indicated at the edge of the red outer brace (red pointer) then
lock the clamp knob securely.
You can position your fence closer or farther away from the
blade (maintain at least 1/8” for safety).
Simply loosen the two fence clamp knobs, slide the fence to the
desired position, then lock securely.
The fence extension can telescope out of the
main fence by loosening the extension clamp
knob and sliding it out to the desired distance,
secure the flip stop to the extension for
repeatable long cuts.

REVERSING THE GUIDE
When it becomes necessary to work on the opposite side of the blade, the EB-3 can easily and
quickly be reversed.
1) Set the miter guide to 90˚ using the detent
plunger. Lock the arm in position with the
angle clamp knob.
2) Loosen the eccentric lock screw inside the
outer brace using the allen key provided.
3) Rotate the adjuster left or right until the
guide is at a true 90˚. Confirm the angle with
your calibration square.
4) Tighten the eccentric lock screw securely.
7
CALIBRATION ADJUSTMENT
1) Remove the fence clamp
knobs located on the fence
mount.
2) Separate the fence and
clamp bar assembly from
the fence mount.
3) Loosen the angle clamp
knob and pull the inner
brace out of the outer
brace.
4) Rotate both the fence
mount and the outer brace
to the opposite side of the
guide bar. Slide the inner
brace back into the outer
brace and tighten the angle
clamp knob.
5) Insert the clamp bar
assembly threaded studs
through the front of the
fence mount and secure
using fence clamp knob.
6) Insert the clamp bar
