General Notes
Genesis freight cars are designed and engineered to accurately represent the prototype. Some of the detail is very delicate, especially
the side stirrup steps, ladders and underframe components. Careful handling and attention to these details will prevent damage and
provide troublefree operation and enjoyment of these fine miniature model trains. This Genesis model has been inspected and the
package factory sealed to guarantee quality and ensure customer satisfaction.
Pre-Assembly Notes: Kits
All molded detail parts are designed to press-fit into their mounting holes. Take some time to identify components with assembly draw-
ings. Remove sprue parts only when required for application. Do not attempt to break-off or twist parts from sprues. Sprue cutting
tweezers and/or an extremely sharp hobby knife will help assure success. Tweezers should be used to handle and apply small parts.
Also required for the task are small files; small drill set (Nos. 60-80); pin vise; small screwdriver; A.C.C. (cyanoacrylate) glue; solvent-
type plastic cement; and a small brush.
