The Genie HDUB4P is a 4 channel passive HD (Non-Amplified) video UTP transceiver
that allows transmission of real time and high performance colour or monochrome
CCTV video or AHD / HD-CVI / HD-TVI / HD video over UTP cable, ideal for multi-
point transmission.

Installation Steps
Please check the following items before installation.
If anything is missing, please contact dealer.
• 1x HDUB4P
• 1x Accessory Set
• 1x User Manual
Please follow the steps as below:
1. Turn off the power of the camera and display before installation.
2. Check if the cables and display device are occupied.
3. Connect monitor or DVR and BNC connector of the product over coaxial cable.
4. Connect the product push terminal UTP cable connector or RJ45 connector and
camera output port over UTP cable.
5. Check whether installation is correct, the device is good, make sure all
connection is reliable, connect power cable, system is power on.
6. Make sure network is normal.
Troubleshoot
Please find the following solution when the device doesn’t work:
• Check if it’s according to the manual.
• If choose RJ-45,make sure both ends of UTP cable are same (both 568A or both
568B).
• If choose green terminal block,make sure cable of same colour be in the same
pin.
• Check all connection(like BNC,RJ-45).
• Make sure the real distance not exceeds the allowed transmission distance.
• Make sure the cables are quality.
• Replace the device at question by a normal working device.
• If the problem still exists, please contact your distributor.

Application
Note:
Transmission distance is related to wire quality, please use standard UTP cable and
coaxial cable.
RJ45 connector and screw push terminal connection mode can not use at the same
time, choose only one of them.
Recommended Distance
Note:
The test data in table 1 is required under lab environment by passive to passive,In
actual case, there maybe some differences due to different cable and environment.
